We come every week for trivia on Thursday nights. It's so much fun and the service is great. We love the new menu and really enjoyed some of the new items. The view is the best in Islamorada! You got to try it!

What a great suprise. Octopus Ceviche Baby Octopus in a lime juice, ginger, garlic, onion sauce. This unique dish served with chips was spectacular , the flavors all made each bite delectable. Our service was prompt and super with Carlos Rico and Orlando and rest of the crew made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The breeze and fans kept us cool even know it was 87 degrees tonight. The view of the famous ISLAMORADA Sandbar and ocean was great. They have live entertainment which we really enjoyed. And tons of locals enjoying the evening. And Friday is Happy all day long with three specials at 50% off. The Sandbar is a must go to place for either locals or visitors.

Sand Bar has only recently opened. It's on the second floor above the Seafood Buffet of Whale Harbor, but fortunately there is an elevator on the outside just to the left of the Seafood Buffet entrance. Sand Bar has an immaculate update decor loaded with nautical themes. It's really gorgeous and with ocean views second to none. If for no other reason the beautiful views make Sand Bar worth a stop by. But all of that goodness is pretty much wasted by a series of horrible downsides. By the time I got the bartenders attention it was 7:05pm; so no Happy Hour for me as Happy hour comes to an abrupt end at 7:00pm. Worse however was the pour. My partner ordered a Scotch the rocks but the chintzy miserly pour turned out to be barely visible and disappeared within a single sip. Then there is the culinary amusing Happy Hour menu consisting of little more than French Bread Pizza (really?), wings and the typical peel and eat shrimp. But the thing that was the big turn off to me was their live music; a single guitarist with a voice of gravel singing, not Caribbean, Buffet Parrot Head, or reggae, but instead hillbilly West Virginia. Like who would come here, to the Keys, to listen to that crap?

Saturday afternoon vibes...we were on our way to the BBQ event and the traffic was crazy. We had a 2+ hour drive for a 1 hour distance. After driving a long time we decided to stop here enjoy a drink and were going to decide to continue on the drive or just enjoy the place. We stayed for a few drinks, a snack and then late lunch/early dinner at the restaurant next door. So, let's talk a little about the experience...we were welcomed by the staff who was really pleasant. The view was beautiful and the locals were welcoming. Topics of conversation and things we should note. We ordered a couple of margaritas and these were really good. The human ordered a pizza and it was delicious. The best part of this all was the view. There was shade. There was a breeze. It was a great experience.

The peel and eat shrimp was amazing! Beautiful view and chill vibes with the live music and ocean breeze.

Great stop to enjoy an outdoor happy hour. The service was superb and the view even better. We had fries and beverages and it was perfect.

Rooftop bar with live music, cheese pizza, and light beer while lounging on their cozy and cute love seats is how we enjoyed our Friday night here. No complaints!

Breeezy and Boozy!!! Finished a morning fishing charter at the Wahoo docks and walked over to this third floor bar. Bright and colorful decor. Amazing waterfront view of the ocean AND entertained myself watching all the sport boats return to base and display their daily catchings. Wonderful breeze. Live music! Sampled some crispy, seasoned french fries to munch on...almost ate the whole basket myself! I'd go back everyday if I was local. Definitely will be adding this to my necessary visit each vacation. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end my day!

I had been…read moresearching all over for a great Key lime martini, and this one absolutely exceeded my expectations. It was perfectly balanced--tart, sweet, smooth, and strong without being overpowering. It was exactly what I had been hoping to find. Our bartender, Megan, made the experience even better. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Since my friend was driving and didn't want alcohol, Megan made her a Key lime margarita-style mocktail that was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. It made my friend feel just as included in the experience, which we really appreciated. The service was outstanding from everyone we encountered. From the host who welcomed us to the team serving our food, everyone was warm, kind, and attentive. Our waters were refilled multiple times without us ever having to ask, and we always felt well taken care of. We ordered the buffalo shrimp, which came out hot, fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor. To finish, we shared the Oreo cheesecake, and it was the perfect ending to our meal. Megan checked in on us throughout our visit, making sure we were enjoying everything, and her genuine hospitality really stood out. This was, without a doubt, the best customer service we've experienced anywhere in the Florida Keys. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Islamorada!

I got sooo many recommendations to go here, I had to with my wife for our 24th Wedding Anniversary…read more I'm giving this place 5 stars overall even though I had 1 major disappointment-the miserable young woman hostess who made us feel like we were bothering her by wanting to go into the restaurant. No smile, No congeniality, Little eye contact, Did Not listen and I had to repeat myself. The reception we received would have made us turn around and go somewhere else, if I hadn't had so many recommendations. OK, now the reasons why I have given them 5 stars. We were quoted a 45 minute wait (about 7:30pm on Tuesday night) but luckily some bar stools opened up AS SOON as we walked in and so we sat at the bar (they offered their full menu), and Fernando, who was EXTREMELY busy, greeted us with a smile and very pleasant demeanor. He prepared our drinks, which were delicious. Right next to him and working the 'Service Bar' was the Manager on Duty: Lauren. She was very pleasant and engaged with us whenever she had the opportunity. She even helped us with menu suggestions, unfortunately, we spoke about one of their nightly specials, the Shrimp Piccata with Gnocchi, but they were sold out when we tried to order it with Fern. So we had a great experience at the bar, and here's the food review; -Fried Whole Yellowtail. Delicious! Presented like a picture and cooked perfectly! Loved the sauce, Pico, Jasmine Rice & Fried tostones. -Citrus/Beet Salad with Whipped Goat Cheese, Quinoa, Nuts, Arugula tossed in a light vinaigrette. All I can say: "Empty Plate Club"...DELICIOUS!! -Now the BEST plate: PEI Mussels. THIS WAS THE BEST PREPARATION OF MUSSELS-I HAVE EVER HAD! The mussels were fresh but the sauce was a "Mic Drop"!!! I split the mussel shell in half, and scooped the mussel shell into the AMAZING sauce and ate it like I was slurping a fresh oyster! After the mussels were finished I ate the rest of the sauce WITH A FORK!!! The sauce was delicious, thick, with garlic and hot spice. I attacked the plate and forgot to take a picture...sorry! We ended our meal with a tasty piece of delicious Key Lime Pie. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMEND AND WILL COME BACK!!! Lauren, great job, the place ran clean, efficient and professional!
