I have been to Hampshire Gastrointestinal previously and was treated well but this was pretty serious and I needed an appointment sooner.

Nor did he tell me about the possibility of a bleed out or what that might feel like. I got home, bled out, lost a third of my blood, spent 4 days in the ICU receiving several blood transfusions. When I confronted him about why he didn't tell me I could bleed out, he actually said "I can't tell every patient about every possible outcome"! When I told him that was his job, he hung up on me! When I didn't get a call about the pathology report, I left a message requesting a call back. He called me back from his car! He said he "didn't have my chart in front of him. I could hear car noises and asked why he was calling me from his car without my chart in front of him and thus was unable to answer my questions. I've never met a more incompetent doctor. I nearly died of blood loss, my blood pressure 70/30. I decided not to sue, but could have. This guy may have a degree but he is in way over his head.

He has all the attributes one looks for in a doctor: incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and compassionate. He always asks for my input in regards to treatment because as says, I know myself best. I never feel rushed when I am in the exam room. He focuses all his attention on me and my needs and I find that incredibly refreshing. As with any specialist there are times when "something comes up" and I have to wait a little longer to be seen. However, I have been the "something" that has come up and so I understand. Dr. Brogadir is worth waiting for.

While it seems to be customary to wait for any doctor these days I actually like this doctor and staff so it makes the wait slightly less painful. Dr. Bloom is definitely one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of seeing for my issues and I've met some real doozies. He made me feel comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared about. He has a good sense of humor which makes for a good bedside manner. Now keep in mind I haven't seen him in over 3 years and yet he knew me right away. I will continue to see Dr. Bloom for as long as medically necessary; and for as long as I'm in CT, you should to!
