I live in San Francisco, and wanted to find a cleaner for (1) a few couches for a maintenance cleaning (I have dogs!), (2) cellular shades for a maintenance cleaning, and (3) drapes (which had mold damage). Bobby and team came recommended from The Shade Store and did a really fantastic job. They were able to clean the couches and one of the drapes on site. They took the other drapes that needed more extensive mold remediation back to their office. The drapes came back as good as new! I couldn't believe it. Bobby was also very honest with me that the cellular shades were not in good enough condition to undergo a cleaning. Bobby seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about this area, giving me a lot of good tips about maintenance. The price, particularly on the drapes, was a little more expensive than I had originally anticipated (though to be fair, I had no idea what price to expect for this kind of service). However, Bobby did a good job explaining the rationale -- that it requires a lot of man hours to clean such extensive mold -- and ultimately I think it was good value considering the great work he did. One expert service person did the entire job meticulously on site without removing the shades nor the swags. He worked with precision, handcleaning every inch using his equipment and cleaning solutions. He worked one day for four hours to clean all the shades; and he worked the next day for four hours to clean the swags and cascades. The charge was $1,700. The price was so well worth it to me because the custom-made window treatments are quite expensive; and as an investment in home decor, they need to be well maintained. From the time he and an assistant arrived, they worked non-stop cleaning draperies, some at least 30 years old. He always let me know about any issues with stains, sites where stitching was fragile, etc. They kept everything clean around them, and did a marvelous job!
