We're super satisfied with Ron's work on our home. He came over to our home, assessed the windows that needed coverings, provided some good options for us to choose from, and offered them at competitive pricing. There was no business/corporate bullcr*p with him and there was no attempt to upsell his customers, which I hugely appreciated. Ron was a really nice guy and it was super easy to work with him. We did comparison with other businesses and found that Ron could provide a much sooner timeline to get the project done compared to what other businesses had to offer. It took about 3 hours ish, as I recall, for him to complete his work on two living rooms, one kitchen and 3 bedrooms. He didn't need a lot of help from us during the installation, so we were able to just go about our business and leave him to do his work with his staff (son?). This review is long overdue. I used Ron several years ago when I needed a blackout shade installed on my bedroom skylight. He was responsive, prompt, honest and genuine. He has an old school work ethic which I find is rare these days and he takes pride in his work. He was quick yet thorough and the shade was a game changer not only for insulation but for my sleep. I recently needed a repair on the shade and called Ron. Once again, he was responsive and I was impressed that he remembered the details of the project. He was able to order me a new replacement shade and although I was out of warranty, he worked with the manufacturer to have it replaced free of charge! He is meticulous and truly takes pride in his work. In addition, I appreciated the fact that he wore a mask in my home and informed me that he was fully vaccinated. This is my second review for Ron's Window Coverings. Ron installed my Plantation Shutters around 7 years ago and I was very, very happy that I chose Ron. Excellent product, excellent customer service. He did a wonderful job. I just love them so much! The other day I had an issue with my sliding glass door lock and I was trying to fix it and I guess I was a little too rough with opening and closing one of the the shutters and one of the screws came loose and I was unable to see exactly what happened so I called Ron to ask him about it. He came to my house within a couple of days and fixed it. I asked him what I owed him and he said that I did not owe him anything! Now I see how to fix it if it happens again. Thanks, Ron! Would not come over to measure one window and said it's not t worth his time. During Covid he cut down his business in half.

If you need blinds for your house, call Ron. He was so easy to work with. I called once to inquire, once to book a measuring appointment. He showed up on time, wearing PPE, and had a wealth of information and expertise. The whole selection process took less than 15 minutes, he carefully measured and even gave me some money saving suggestions. His prices were already at least 30% less than competitors and his friendly and knowledgeable expertise was hands down a better experience than fighting for customer service at Home Depot. The blinds arrived in a week, he scheduled installation and was quick, clean and precise. I am a big fan of the cordless "top down bottom up" cellular shades he recommended. Clean, doesn't obstruct the view, perfect amount of privacy when you need it. If only everything about this new home experience went as smooth as working with Ron! read more

Ron was recommended to me by a friend after I commented on the beautiful shutters in his house. Ron is very knowledgeable and helped us decide on what we wanted. We did plantation shutters in the front of the house, blinds in the back, and custom pull down shades for both sliding glass doors. (YES -- shades for the sliders! They block the hot sun when needed and easy roll up during the day, and give privacy at night.) I never would have thought of that myself, but Ron did! I'm writing this review long after I should have, but I was reminded of it because we recently needed Ron to replace the magnet closure on some of the shutters. It was very odd how they had broken. Ron came out, checked out everything, and replaced what needed to be done, free of charge! The Bay Area Crisis Nursery (a nonprofit program that takes care of children whose parents are in crisis) needed new blinds for their rental property that's located on the Nursery's grounds. We recently moved into a new house in the Berkeley Hills. We tried to install curtains, but they just didn't look right, so we contacted several companies that specialize in window coverings/blinds. After talking to several companies we chose Ron's Window Coverings (2670 Minert Road, Concord) to build and install plantation style shutters and we are so happy we did. Ron and his team were fantastic! When Ron came to the house to measure the windows, he was on-time and extremely professional. I should note that our house is 3 stories and the windows are various shapes, sizes and styles (Some with window casings - some without). We opted to install shutters on 13 windows and two sliding doors. He gave us an estimated time-frame for building the shutters and a tentative date he could install them. Unlike most of the other contractors we've worked with, Ron completed the shutters and installed them on time and on budget. The plantation shutters look great, fit perfectly and really transformed the house! We recently bought a home that didn't have any window treatments. We called around and found a few different places to provide recommendations and quotes. I found that the biggest issue was that the designers that would come to the house didn't know anything about the actual install. I was just about ready to order shutters from another company when I was told that they couldn't get anyone out to do actual measurements for at least two weeks. Finally, I found Ron and he was able to come out, suggest solutions, and measure everything all on the same day. We did 7 windows and 3 sliding glass doors. The 7 windows were all installed within 10 days and the sliding glass doors came two weeks later. This was great since every other company told us that it could take 6 to 8 weeks to get anything. Ron was professional, quick and flexible. He was able to suggest certain products over others based on the installation issues (our windows are lopsided). He also came back to confirm the shutter colors before he ordered anything. Overall, I was very pleased with Ron's work.
