If Yelp allowed it, I'd give Budget Window Coverings a gazillion stars!! The Shutters we ordered are AMAZING and exactly what we wanted!! When I initially reached out to Miguel, he responded right away and offered to set up an appointment that same day (very impressive!), but our (mine & hubby's) schedule didn't permit. Upon Miguel's arrival, he offered to show me various Shutters and Blinds; but I was set on "white Plantation Shutters." He then provided me w/several size options and was very patient while I pondered options. Once I decided on the size, Miguel explained the next steps -- process, timing and installation. Fast forward to the installation (note: the Shutters arrived w/in the time frame provided): I was running a little late for the install appointment and reached to Miguel to let him know -- he assured me that wouldn't be a problem. Just had our first consultation with Miguel, and the other reviewers were right. He is very responsive and knows his stuff. I messaged about 6 different highly rated companies on Yelp via their messaging feature. He answered within minutes and was willing to meet that day. I found Budget Window Coverings through Yelp. I sent out 3 requests from other companies. Within a matter of minutes, I received an email from Budget Window Coverings. I always look at the first responder to be the ones that will give good customer service. I then contacted them via phone....and they were able to book an appointment for me immediately (I think it was the same day). I committed to getting at least 2 quotes. But the other company were few days out before they can see me, which was fine. So I booked that one as well, just in case Budget is not a good fit. I then had Miguel come out and do an estimate. He came all the way to my temporary digs in Oakland to let me pick samples, and turned a potential problem into my advantage. One of my large blinds arrived with some slight damage. He got it replaced promptly, and suggested a way I could re-use it in another window to provide even better darkening. His price was very reasonable for doing my whole house, and he was able to understand and fulfill my special requirements for a home theater. (When I say dark, I mean dark.) The honeycomb shades he provided not only block light completely, but add R value to the windows and block sunlight, saving me money on air conditioning.
