Long story short, had a water leak and the carpet had to be pulled back to dry it. Once the remediation services gave the go ahead, I contacted Mike on Sept 4 for help with stretching the carpet back in-place. Mike was prompt in his response. Being a national holiday, Mike answered my call, took down the details; asked for photos etc and promised service later in the day itself. That was amazing. After having been through multiple days of struggle with drying, I wanted to get the house quickly back in-shape and getting the carpet re-stretched was definitely a must for me. Mike came out later in the day as promised, saw the issue and diligently went onto get the carpet stretching done. He is also a nice guy to talk to, has a really good understanding of carpets (even recommended some to me) and is fairly priced. I found Mike's business while researching online and his worked lived up to the excellent reviews he has. I replaced the floors in living and dining room with tile but not the bedrooms. The contractor did a poor job with the transition from tile to carpet. They had cut the carpet too short and did not tack it down while work was being done in the living and dinning room. On top of that, they walked into the bedroom throughout the remodel which caused the ripples. I hired Mike to fix the ripples as they were a major trip hazard. Upon inspection, Mike discovered the transition was done incorrectly. The carpet was 'glued' to the metal transition piece and the 'glue' was still wet after 3 days! He worked with the contractor to let them know how the transition should be done and came back a few days later to fix the ripples. Needless to say, Mike has gone above and beyond his job. Had I not call him, I would not have discovered the tile to carpet transition was badly done until much later. I highly recommend Mike if anyone needs their carpet fixed. read more

After years of using a consumer grade carpet cleaner our carpet shrank and subsequently tore at the seams. One of 4 areas was about 14 feet long and 1 inch wide. Our puppy saw this and tore it open and ate the underlayment. I called Mike and he requested that I sent pictures. He confidently told us that it's not a problem and he can be here in 3 days. He also gave us an estimate over the phone and explained his pricing. He arrived and got to work. You can tell he is craftsman that has a passion for what he does and extensive knowledge. He also found that we had gorgeous wood underneath and recommended that we only fix the big areas (less money for him) since the wood beneath was beautiful and we should consider pulling the carpet. I had a little incident right after I moved in to a new house, and the carpet at the corner of one of the rooms had a big burnt mark, not cool. Initially I was thinking whether it meant I had to replace the whole carpet in the room but after some research I realized it's possible to just replace a specific small section of carpet from a "donor" carpet, so went to Yelp and after getting multiple quotes, I went with Mike. Mike came on time and brought his tools, I was kind of doubtful at first whether the fixed carpet would look kind of awkward since even though the donor carpet was exactly the same color and pattern, ultimately there should still be some cut line, but he proved me wrong soon after!
