Wings are good. Service is disappointing. While we were there service was slow and there were 2 people up front just talking and laughing. The one thing that keeps me from giving it a 4 is that you only get 1 flavor to an order. So it's difficult to try the menu and find out what you like. They should have a sampler that lets you try multiple flavors. I'd bet they would have more repeat business. Prices are on the higher side. read more

Tried out this new place for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed! We tried the Golden original and the soy garlic and it tasted great. The chicken still had that crispy crunch even with the soy garlic. Service was friendly and prompt and was not too crowded around the 7pm time. I've been passing by this place since it opened. Timing just wasn't right but my friend and I got in today and it was better than I hoped. I love fried chicken though don't eat it often. Love Korean food which I can make at home but the combination is really super. We split 1/2 Soy Garlic. Believe me, it was enough for both of us. Shared the sweet potato fries and coleslaw. I like the crispiness of the chicken. They double fry it. The taste is delicious. Nice people. The wait time is kinda long because so many to go orders or pick up and dine in. My suggestion is for them to have more choices for sides. The takoyoki is delicious. I hope they add dinner rolls for sides too not all eats rice. We love bbq.Chicken in our household, so when we learned one opened up in Denton and we didn't have to drive as far for it we were stoked! We went in on a Saturday at about 7pm, the food was AMAZING, we got Caribbean Spice and Goegjong boneless wings. The staff was super duper friendly. I always get the golgi wings, but unfortunately they had sold out for the day (I get it, they're obviously the best flavor hehe), and the staff was very good at recommending something else I might like! The service is subpar. It took forever to get a server to our table but when she did come to the table she was very knowledgeable about the menu and very personable. I've worked in restaurants for nearly 10 years. I've packed over a thousand to-go orders. I've personally made some TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE mistakes, but I've also made some pretty amazing food, NEARLY perfect. Shame or pride, I know what's right and what's wrong. I want to give an honest review. For almost $20 I got 9pcs Secret Sauce Boneless. I thought, "This should hopefully be worth it." Delivery was dropped off. I opened my front door and no joke, could instantly smell the flavor. It smelt good. Like the food was actually greeting me outside, I thought "That was nice." Like it's a person. A person who smells nice. Already the aroma was personifying, not all food does that the instant you encounter it. Brought the bag inside, and I noticed how it was tied. Small strips made the knot sealing everything inside while the adjacent untied handles allowed normal carry. THE BAG WAS IMPRESSIVE. Went to my kitchen to grab a napkin and a fork. NO NEED! They already packed napkins, a fork, chopsticks and even included a small menu. Then the box. LOCKED FIRM. A small port at the top to allow airflow, preventing the food from getting soggy. I opened the box. H O L Y M O L E Y Flavor. I love this flavor. Color was bright, the sheen of the sauce glistening every single micro-flake of breading, and WHOA, a side of sauce! Didn't even order that, but hey! I went for the chopsticks. Thank god, they use the ones that break only 3/4 of an inch from the top. No splinters to worry about. I picked a piece and ate it whole. Huh. HUH, whoa okay. Oh damn, OH, WHOA! Oh ****, holy **** it's getting better! It's ge- IT'S TASTING BETTER AND BETTER THE MORE I CHEW IT. IT'S ACTUALLY IMPROVING IN QUALITY THE LONGER IT STAYS IN MY MOUTH. MOIST AND CRISPY AT THE SAME TIME. WHAT IS HAPPENING. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING. I think it's a secret. Damn. I go for the sauce. Huh, it looks chunky. Wait, this isn't sauce. It's- ooh, nice! Pickled radish! Perfect compliment to the sweet and savory chicken, the acidic tang neutralizes the chicken so you can have that first-bite experience over and over! This is even better than an extra sauce, this chicken doesn't need extra sauce, it's already sauced excellently, extra sauce can go straight to hell against this chicken, it doesn't require it. Sometimes really good food makes you sad that you have to swallow it and start to descend the ladder from the peak point of exposure to it's taste. Not this. I was proud to ingest it. I felt lucky that this was now totally mine. A specimen of such pure good flavor can cure the soul of anything. It helps you. Nothing bad can happen to me if I keep eating this. It made me feel special. I almost felt undeserving of not just the flavor, but EVERYTHING. Opening my door to it's aromatic mojo, charting the bag across my living room using the actual handles of the bag, finding everything I needed, wanted, and am glad to have been gifted inside, the artful yet utilitarian design of the box, the reveal of the food itself, that love-at-first-sight-type reveal, everything led to this point. Everything that happened to me from witnessing the existence of the food at my doorstep to the actual eating of it was designed by b.bq Chicken to treat you like a living breathing human being. They care. They respect you. I can see it, smell it, taste it, I could probably feel it too if I mushed the chicken around in my hand. I can tell you right now that they don't just care about their food, they also care about you, the customer. With loving arms they welcome you into a palace of sensory-luxury. Everything that makes a successful food-delivery order, they did it. They excelled in it. Everything is perfect. And perfect is a very meaningful word when it comes to food, especially for those that prepare it for money. Barley and Board is not perfect. Queenies is not perfect. Hannah's is almost perfect. This is perfect. For what I payed I got so much more than expected. $20? Pfff. I'd pay double that. No joke. When you order from b.bq Chicken, you're put onto a guest list for a party. The party is wherever the **** you're eating it. 10/10. Thank you to the person who washed the chicken, thank you to the person who trimmed the chicken, thank you to the person who breaded the chicken, thank you to the person who out it in the oil, thank you to the person who pulled it out at the right time, thank you to the person for keeping it warm while everything else was being put together, thank you to the person who placed everything I needed in the bag and tied it up, thank you to the person who presented it to the driver. Chicken was excellent. Service wasn't. We were given plates and napkins when we arrived, but after that the waitress left us alone. After 20 minutes or so I finally went up to the counter and was able to place our order. The waitress was busy talking to people at another table who were apparently friends and ignored us completely. I might order to go next time, but not dine-in. read more

The chicken is crispy and tasty and the service was very good, no problems with any of that! My only concern is that they do not make it easy for someone who wants a convenient lunch in the middle of a work day. The "lunch special" option is the boneless chicken basket with sauce of your choice, plus a drink, so that is what I ordered. The problem here is that the amount of chicken is huge, far more than I could finish -- not a lunch-sized portion, and there isn't another good option for a quick lunch. Nobody wants to carry that much leftover chicken back to work. If they would cut the amount of chicken in half and give an option of a small side, like fries, with the drink -- like virtually every other successful chicken restaurant in the US -- then I could see myself returning for lunch regularly. As it is, I don't see them being very successful in competing for the lunch market. For dinner, though, this seems like a great option and I'm glad it's in Denton! read more
