We arrived at exactly 9pm and disappointingly, we were told by the young woman as pictured on this review "We are no longer serving because the kitchen is close". Mind you this was at 9pm, their operating hours shows closing at 10pm. If they were really "closed" as this young woman claimed, they would have locked the doors to the front, but we were able to go in and approach her. Then, she suddenly switched up her face as she was counting the cash for the day. The lights were still on along with the TV Menus (not pictured here because she turned it off as soon as we walked out) but it appears that this employee decided to just close for the day even though it's only an hour before their intended closing time. My advice to management--change the operating hours till 9pm, it seems as if your employees aren't complying with what was intended to be the standard hours of business. read more

I do love myself some bbq Chicken. I usually go to a different location, but came here to pick up when I was nearby. The chicken itself was still good and tasty, consistent with our usual location. My only gripe was that the worker was very stingy with the radishes and charged us for extra. As for our food, we ordered the soy garlic wings, maple crunch, and the rose tteokbokki (rice cakes). NEVER, EVER, EVER again! First let me say that the food is good. I first had their chicken at the Sawtelle location and loved it. Today (1/14/23), knowing that I was going to be near the Gardena location, I offered to pick up some food on the way to meet my friends. Weirdly, none of the online apps were working for me, but I just figured that the systems were being overloaded due to the rain. No biggie, I'll just order in store. I get there and there are 2 parties ahead of me. Again, no biggie, I wait my turn, place my order (adding a 15% tip) and sit down to wait. 3-4 additional walk-ins came in while I was waiting. I smiled thinking that everyone must like fried chicken on a rainy day, and the staff deserved that tip for how hard they are working. The cashier tells me it will be about 15-20 minutes, hands me my receipt, and I sit down to wait. It's 12:43 PM. Sitting next to me is the couple who placed their order right before me, so I figured that once they have their order, mine should be ready shortly after. After about 15 minutes that couple has their order. I think, "Cool, I'll be next!". I look up at the counter and see what looks like the bone in Half & Half of my 4 item order already in the bag, so I stand up since I figure the rest will be ready soon. The couple that ordered after me get their food. The 2 ladies after them get their food. Time keeps ticking by and the bag with the bone in chicken has now just been sitting for 10 minutes so it must be mine. At this point I stand up to let the cashier know that 2 of the parties after me have already received their food, but I'm still waiting. She asks my name, checks for the order, starts to offer the excuse that I'm waiting longer because I ordered bone-in, but then stops herself when she sees my name on the - now soggy - box of bone-in chicken and says that it'll be another few minutes. She then has a couple of conversations with the cook (she pokes her head into the kitchen, he eventually comes out to double check the receipt, etc.), and I see them start cooking fresh batches of boneless chicken guessing that it is the missing parts of my order. While I continue to wait, I notice the cashier take a now cold order of Tteokbokki out of someone else's bag, and place it into a different bag on the counter. She then turns to me with her hand still on that bag and asks if I want radish. She had already asked earlier, but I just said Yes again to keep things moving. Apparently she had decided to give ME the COLD Tteokbokki! How do I know? Because my fresh boneless flavors were starting to come out of the kitchen at that point, and I watched her as she bagged them with the COLD soggy-boxed bone-in chicken, and then hands me BOTH bags. The RIGHT THING to do would have been to scoop up some fresh, HOT Tteokbokki so that only 1 of the 4 items would have been cold, but nope. Now I have 2 cold items. Geez! Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this location. I wish I could get that tip back! Maybe educate the staff on better customer service? or not serving someone else's cold food to a waiting customer? No one should have to experience this. If this was my first time here, I would probably just chalk it up to a busy, rainy day. But this was my 2nd time. It's in kind of a funky location between Papa John's and a fast food Chinese place in the center with Albertsons so there's lots of parking. I suggested she order either a medium or large with half Honey Garlic & half Spicy Galbi but lo and behold, they refuse to split flavors. That makes absolutely no sense to me other than forcing the customer to buy 2 smaller orders which costs more. Seems kinda sketchy to me. That cost em one star. She wound up buying 3 smaller orders of different flavors (she added a Soy Garlic) and sweet potato fries. She also added Rose Ddeok-Bokki which was pretty jammin I must say. Some of the best I've tasted. It is a bit spicy for being rated one chili pepper but not overwhelming. The portion was a bit skimpy for the price but it was tasty. All three flavors of the chicken were excellent and the sauces were all flavorful. Sweet potato fries were on point as well. The chicken was prepared perfectly so no complaints there. To reiterate, I would have given them 5 stars if they weren't so uptight about splitting flavors in one size order. It's like a pizza place trying to hit you up for more cash to make it half pepperoni and half sausage. It's not like you're getting more chicken. This place is a huge Korean chicken chain in Korea and they already have a location in KTown. The KTown location is good but it takes a while for the chicken to be prepared. It was my first time ordering here and I called in because it was the weekend and I figured there would be a wait. The wait time was 35 min and they had our order ready right on time! It seems like they are still struggling to get the orders in because it sounded very busy over the phone and they were sold out of almost all of the flavored wings except BB and hot. I ordered 2 whole chickens with both flavors- secret spicy and hot spicy. Dear Lord. They need to put a warning for the hot spicy and call that one secret spicy because it is pretty spicy when you eat it, but once your body digests it that's another level of hot spicy. Everyone that ate that chicken went to the bathroom with burning sensation. So, buyer beware. It was still very good and if you are in need for a forced detox maybe you need the hot spicy chicken. Was a lil disappointed that I couldn't try other flavors like soy garlic, but will definitely be looking forward to it when they are fully stocked and ready for orders. Every flavor or item I wanted to try sadly wasn't available at this location. The cashier was informed this was our first time and when everything we wanted wasn't available he didn't bother to suggest something similar or give any description when I asked what is in the flavor? Poor customer service. There isn't much description on the menu. I ordered cheese fries however the fries were just overly covered in powder cheddar (pop corn topping) was not tasty at all. The chicken was delicious but the wait was about 45 minutes when I looked over at the register the curtain for the kitchen was opened the cook saw me and rudely shut the curtain closed. This location was not friendly or welcoming at all. I want to give it another try but it will definitely be another location. I've driven by so many times and didn't really notice this place until I was stuck in traffic one day and man that was a lucky day after all.
