BB.q Chicken - Johns Creek- Cluck yeah! This place is fry-nomenal! BB.q Chicken is hands-down my GO-TO Korean fried chicken spot, and the John's Creek location is officially my favorite. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. It's spacious, spotless, and so welcoming. They even have a handwashing station right by the entrance (love that detail). I heard they recently changed ownership, and you can absolutely tell- the new owners and team have elevated everything!!! They greet you like family, check in on you, and make the whole experience feel warm and personal from start to finish. They also go all out with fun decorations around the holidays, which makes dining in even more festive and memorable! I love it. Customer Service: 10/10 Food Quality & Portions: 10/10 Flavor: 11/10 (yes, ELEVEN) Ambiance & Cleanliness: 10/10 You can taste the quality. They don't cut corners. The chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly coated in sauce. Everything is made with love and care. My Must-Order Favorites: - Soy Garlic Chicken (also incredible as wings) - Secret Sauce Chicken - Gangnam Style - Honey Garlic - Cheeseling Fries (dangerously addictive) - Rosé Ddukbokki - TRUST ME. Creamy, slightly sweet, a gentle kick of heat, perfectly balanced. Not overly spicy. You might want to order two. They truly do it best here. They also have some sides that pair well with your chicken like corn salad, Korean pickled radish, and cole slaw. The sweet potato fries are really good too! Another big plus: there are tons of tables, making it perfect for group dinners, family gatherings, or catching up with friends. It never feels cramped. Parking is convenient too- spaces available right in front of the entrance and in the back, which makes it easy even during busy hours. Pro tip: Download their app and create an account to earn points on your food orders. If you're coming here often (and you will), those rewards add up! They also offer catering and takeout, and the chicken and rosé ddukbokki hold up beautifully to-go. Still crispy. Still flavorful. Still 10/10. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out. And if it's been a minute? This is your sign to go back. I'll be back, Bb.q Chicken!!

Gang-Jeong boneless combo with sweet potato fries

Waited far too long to try! Stopped in for lunch and got their Gang-Jeong boneless chicken lunch combo with sweet potato fries. Love that they offer a single serving portion as part of the lunch special as many similar places only offer giant/expensive portions that need to be shared. Will definitely return especially for the $5 draft beers!

I'm not 100% on this place. My son wanted to try it, so I went to the website, thought we could try it, so I signed up for rewards and app. When we came in, we were seated then instructed to order and pay with QR code. I asked if I should order in the app so I would earn rewards and he wasn't sure. We were given the most amazing pickled radishes! I could eat them all day! We ordered the fried dumplings that tasted very fresh and perfectly fried. Everything warned us the food would take at least 20 minutes to cook and it didn't take that long. I ordered the honey garlic boneless chicken and thought I was spicier than I expected; not a garlic kind of spice, but like a chili heat. It's not inedible, but not what I was looking for. My son got Gangjeong boneless and really enjoyed it. It has more of a kick than mine, but expected. I live the cinnamon in it. The batter on the chicken is very crispy even with the sauce. I didn't like a strange, chewiness that I can't identify. Maybe this is all very authentic, and I just am too unfamiliar with. It's just too expensive for what you get. It's nicely done inside, but it's paper "boats" and plastic forks. Forget about cutting anything. There aren't any fountain drinks. They offer water, or you can buy cans or bottles of drinks. I can even somewhat understand the ordering system because maybe they also have staffing issues. I doubt I will ever come back, but I'm sure my son will.

Great service with friendly staff! Best chicken around! It's always super crispy and fresh! The honey garlic is our favorite! The chicken is pricey but good. The kimchi rice is good but the egg was overcooked. The rice needs more kimchi but it is flavorful and a large portion.

Wow!! We have finally had the chance to check out bb.q Chicken Johns Creek and boy did it not disappoint! We came on a Thursday evening to pick up some chicken for a Christmas party and had the pleasure of eating a few wings and sides while there. The owner was there and man, what a friendly and welcoming vibe we got. We heard a little about their business practices and her story and were quite impressed. From using fresh oil, and not reusing oil over and over like a lot other competitors, in their cooking constantly, and using only the finest ingredients imported straight from Korea you could truly taste the quality in every bite of the chicken! The cooks are some of the best in the business and their management is top notch! That speaks highly of ownership and their ability to hire and keep high quality staff! My mouth is drooling just thinking about the crispy, and fresh chicken and can't wait to stop in again to enjoy some Chi-maek (Chicken and brewskies). My very best wishes to the owner and staff and a big thank you for the excellent Korean Fried Chicken! 5 stars and two thumbs up for bb.q Chicken Johns Creek! It doesn't get much better than this!

Half & Half Boneless, secret sauce and original.

My son wanted to try this place, so we did. I was amazed at the huge portion sizes for the chicken and the fries. We ordered a half and half boneless wings with original and secret sauce, beef dumplings, fries, and drinks. We ended up taking probably 2/3 of our order home. We did dine in and ordering via QR code was fine, the service was attentive and friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained and the handwashing sink at the front was an unexpected but nice touch.

Sorry, we ate it all, and then remembered we should take a pic... Lol

We went on a Friday night to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. We chose the location for their draft beer, which was very good. But the food was phenomenal. We ordered the whole chicken (half original/half secret sauce), 1 order of soy garlic wings, 1 order of gangnam wings, fries and rose dukbokgi. The gangnam wings were my favorite. Perfectly savory, juicy with crispy exterior. Peppery but not spicy. My sons loved the soy garlic. The original was yummy, dipped in the rose sauce. We also got an order of fried mandu (very good) and cheese balls which were seriously otherworldly. We all said we must return to eat those again. Crisp, hot, soft, chewy cheese heaven. But the absolute highlight of the evening was Kristin, our server. She was helpful, attentive and kind. She really made our birthday dinner memorable. What a delightful dinner! Highly recommend!

Food here is really good. Definitely the best Korean fried chicken I've had in a while. Staff is really friendly, both times I've come here there's always sitting available with soft K-pop playing in the background. They carry on top, which is one of my favorite ales to drink. Could be a bit pricey, depending on your budget, but definitely worth the price in my opinion. Wings are extremely crispy and delicious! I would also recommend their garlic oil as well. Definitely my favorite on their menu. Edit: removed a Star from 4 to 3. After receiving our food no employee came to check on us. Kinda wish I didn't pre- tip when ordering because besides bringing the food to our table we did everything (got our water, grabbed the Togo boxes, etc). This place is very self serve. Definitely doesn't warrant a tip in my opinion. Service needs to be tweaked if you're gonna ask for tips.

Came to try the Johns Creek BBQ Chicken since we were in the area and it was pretty empty on a Saturday night. FOOD: Happy to review that the taste is up to par with the Suwanee and Duluth location. We got the large wings and were happily shocked at the size of the wings. They are huge but seasoned very well, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. SERVICE: Unfortunately didn't get a chance to get the server's name but he was great! Made sure to let us know it would take 20-25 min for the chicken to come out since they are made fresh to order and let us know when the last call for food was. He checked in on us regularly and was very friendly! OVERALL: I do think the chicken is fried in cleaner oil than the other stores from my past couple experiences. They serve lots of local beer and a Coors Light Beer Special at the moment so I would recommend trying it out!

Rose tteopokki and Cheesling Wings
Winter R.

My friend and I stopped by for quick dinner. BBQ Chicken did not disappoint. The food came out fast after we ordered. We order rose tteopokki and cheesling wings. They give you 1 free picked radish as banchan. The food was delicious. Rose tteopokki was just the right amount of spicy and creamy. Cheesling wings were crispy on the outside and still juicy inside. We dipped the wings in the rose sauce and it was just perfect combination. We were the last customers and the servers were really nice about it. We'll definitely come back.

Piri-piri chicken, garlic bread, and zero self-control. Nando's is already one of our go-to spots, so it didn't take much convincing. The vibe hits that perfect sweet spot between casual and "we're pretending this is a planned night out." And the food? Consistently elite. My husband went with his usual: the 2 1/4 legs, hot. A bold man with a questionable spice tolerance, but I respect the commitment. I ordered the chicken thigh skewers, medium, because I like to feel something without seeing my life flash before my eyes. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the garlic bread. I don't know what they put in it, but I would trust it with my financial decisions. It's that good. He also got the fries (which, okay... a little skimpy this time, Nando's, we noticed ), and I switched things up with the corn on the cob, which absolutely held its own. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we needed even though we didn't know we needed it. We met up with my sister and her kids, who ordered after us, but honestly the best part of the night was just hanging out, talking, and letting the table slowly turn into a graveyard of sauce-covered plates and crumbs. Final verdict: Came for matcha. Left with full stomachs, zero regrets, and a renewed emotional attachment to garlic bread. Would accidentally end up here again 10/10.

We have eaten at the Suwanee/Johns Creek location so many times. I've taken my family when they're visiting from out of town. This location is inside the forum, and it's in a cool little "food hall" where there are many offerings of different cultures, cuisines, and options. However, we wanted to avoid the mess on Medlock Bridge Rd so we chose to go from Duluth down to the Forum/Politan Row. Parking is always hit or miss in the lot there, but it's free. There is a bar in the middle of the hall if you're so inclined to indulge. Really cozy and I imagine it's busy when there's a giant lunch rush or dinner rush. We went around 3. Josh was at the counter, talking us through the food. We have eaten so many times here but it never hurts to hear someone talk about the offerings. You can't get Mala flavor here, or buldak (I think) versus the other locations. My buddy is an honorary Korean. He loves Korean food, all kinds- and he wanted to try the K fries, along with the kimchi fried rice. We always order just wings so that the fry time is shorter than a full chicken. So we ordered the chef special- spicy. Food came out about 12-15 minutes later, and it was picture perfect! We never had the fries before and let me tell you they are so crispy even with the toppings. As you continue to eat these toppings still work their way down to the lower level. But for those who don't like Kimchi, get a side of plain fries- they're that good! The kimchi fried rice is always spectacular. Beautiful fried egg on top, with a runny yolk that will mix in with the temperature and spicy hot fried rice. It's never a bad idea to get this with your wings. Also, you have the option to get the chicken not tossed and sauced- can dip into sauce if you want to maintain crunch and texture. But, fully sauced still delivers with flavor and somehow even after 20 minutes of eating the wings were still hot in the middle. We know that the spice level runs hotter than you think, and Josh warned us about that too- but we went with the spicy wings. It's so hot out, we were tired from working out, and now we were sniffling and drinking lots of water! Next time, we will go medium. I haven't learned my lesson bc once I ordered medium for my nieces and nephews and they were mowing the food down but the spice was painful for them (12, 10, and 6 at the time). Josh was telling us that sometimes you can order chicken fried rice instead of the Kimchi fried rice for a change in spice level- made sense. He's a good dude. Easy to talk with and knows his stuff. I'll be back here, we decided next time to mix up some of the different foods from the many stands and just go for a big potluck with friends next time. But we will center it around Kimchi Red! We had a TON of leftovers, and Josh gave us boxes lined with parchment paper (beautiful touch) so we could split everything and have an entire meal once again in the coming days. A giant "THANK YOU" to Josh and the kitchen team here at Kimchi Red Politan Row in the Forum. It's great to see Korean culture and good grow in popularity and places and people like this team here help that positive momentum! Support small businesses! See my photos with the review!

Along with that blessing, I find myself being addicted to everything that makes me sick. Life hands you lemons, ya eat it anyway. So imagine my surprise when I dig into a box of fried chicken and don't see grease collecting around the entire box. It can't taste good if it's not greasy, right? I was delightfully proven wrong. The chicken was juicy af. Yes, so juicy I actually said wtf. The meat was tender, the skin was crunchy. And it was like an ASMR session kind of crunchy. I would've recorded the sound but unfortunately I'm allergic to ASMR. I'll be honest, when I first saw 98k Chicken I didn't have high expectations. I thought it would be another Zaxby's, Popeyes, KFC, etc. But they've really set themselves apart! The price is far more reasonable than other chain fried chicken restaurants, the portions are bigger, and the quality of the food is consistently superior. If they're able to keep up with what they're doing, I think this will be a community favorite. Good food speaks for itself, and so do the kind owners that pour their hearts and souls into their businesses. When I go to a fast food restaurant, I barely expect people to look at me in the eye, let alone carry on a conversation with me. But the woman at the counter is actually quite chatty!
