Classic Burger and Sweet Potato Fries
    Monique A.

The Burger Factory is the BEST burger joint in Alpharetta. The restaurant is located in the Medlock Crossing Shopping Plaza and offers interior and exterior (dog friendly) seating. This is not a chain burger joint, which makes it truly one of a kind. The co-workers are all very friendly and truly make an effort to get to know their regulars. Of the many times I've been here, it's rare that my husband and I are ever lone customers - it's always busy with smiling clientele. On this particular visit I ordered two burgers and two sides, one for myself and one for my husband. His go-to meal is the Classic, while mine is the Mushroom Swiss (add Jalapeño). Today I opted for a lettuce wrap and it was still so flavorful and just as good as if it would have had the Potato Bun. All of the side options are great, and the price paid for the quality of food is nothing short of amazing!

This place is located in the same plaza as the regal movie theater. If you're facing the movie theater, it is on the right side. There are about 6 tables that seat 4 each, and one 6 person table. There is also bar counter seating for about 6 people. When you enter, you walk straight in to the ordering counter. There are menus on the counter in both Spanish and English. Obviously this is a burger place and they have classic options as well as some with a Venezuelan twist. On my first visit, I had the Patacon with no ham, which came out to a little over $16. For just a sandwich, it felt pricey, but to be fair, I ordered one of if not the most expensive sandwiches on the menu. Also, when it came out, I realized that instead of a regular buger shape, it's oblong-shaped and a pretty decent amount of food. The man who took my order was pleasant. I came on a Tuesday, right when they opened, so no one was there. My order took about 8 minutes to make and serve. I didn't know that my sandwich would come with so much sauce, which is the only drawback. It was warm and flavorful when I took my first bite. I would ask for the sauce on the side next time, more specifically the ketchup. Also, there is a self-serve sauce bar next to the beverage station, so you can get whatever amount of whatever sauce you want. Two things: I wish my sandwich had more cabbage, and I wish the hot sauce was more flavorful. When it got to be about 11:20, three different groups came in so the lunch shift started picking up. I came back a second and third time to try their classic burger. From Tuesday through Friday, they have an all day special where you can get their classic burger, a drink, and side of fries for $11.99. Both times, my burger was consistently prepared-- solid flavor and not too salty with all items mentioned on the menu. Every time I have been here, I have interacted with the same two people: a kind man that has taken my order each time, and a polite and friendly lady that has brought my food to me. I am guessing they are the owners. Most important of all, the place seems very clean. The tables, seats, bathrooms, have never been sticky or dirty. A solid, enjoyable experience and I would return and recommend to others.

Good food in a casual environment. The burgers were good. The plain fries were also good. The loaded fries were definitely a pass, the cheese was a cheese sauce vs melted cheese. It is an okay place to visit if you order the right menu items.

I came here on hump day to try it out. I must say it is bare bones small establishment but a very good burger and I overheard a customer raving about the grilled chicken. Now the fries were meh so maybe next time I will go with the onion rings or sweet potato fries. If a family goes to the movie theater close by I would suggest dinner here to by pass the high concession prices. Service was great as the cook brings your food to you. Ambiance is low key casual with midday lunch crowd. They have a yummy cilantro garlic sauce that compliments well with the fries. Gun fact: Some mlb ball parks have garlic fries with this combo! In short if you love burgers next time try them out over your typical chains. Maybe not Vortex taste quality but very good just the same.

This quaint restaurant was phenomenal in service and food. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich and the Factory Burger and dived right in before capturing the beautiful plated presentation. 10/10 absolutely recommend!

Better burgers at Wendy's. Oil used to cook fries was old and needed replacing. Won't be back any time soon. Highly overrated burger joint.

The chicken hung off every side of the bun, and you could tell right away it was hand breaded, not some frozen filet pulled from a bag. Crispy, juicy, and the buffalo sauce had just enough heat without drowning everything out. Fries came out hot and crispy, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many places can't pull that off. Service is genuinely friendly - looks like a lot of the staff are local high school kids and they actually seem to like being there, which makes a difference. My only gripe is the TVs are too few and too small. This place has the food and the vibe to be a great spot to catch a game. Someone needs to mount a couple big screens and make that happen.

I've had Village Burger a couple times before in Dunwoody and have always been impressed with the affordability vs the taste/quality. Seating was extremely limited during peak hours. We had to wait around 5-10 minutes after ordering for a table to open up. Luckily, tables seemed to turn around fast. We built our own burgers, but ended up with matching burgers. I love being able to add as many toppings as I want. And the onion rings are a must! And if you're not feeling a burger, the wings are also solid. Village Burger is still a gem in any neighborhood. Would definitely prefer some more availability in indoor seating if possible!!

We tried. FOOD:…read more The burger sucked. The bread was old and crumbly and then soggy on the inside. The burger didn't fit the description, and it was overall not something that tasted like it came from a place that specializes in burgers. Chicken tenders - these are tough chicken. They're not hot on the inside, and it felt like eating a block of cheese but made of "chicken." With a pretty good digestive system, this meal will be notable on your body. The brain was fine ,- nothing to write home about. The buffalo sauce wasn't saucy enough, so I simply asked for a dipping sauce. Sweet potato fries - they were salty with an oily over-crisp later on the outside. The shape and center (soft, sweet potato flavor) were enjoyable, especially with the sauce. The menu called it Buffalo sauce, but it's more of a barbecue sauce and is not spicy/vinegar-y THE BAR: The bartender was nice, but he doesn't know how to make drinks. His recommendations (or even if we asked about a specific item) were way off par. The "old fashioned" pictured was barely half a shot with water and no cherry. The setup of the bar doesn't quite make sense. It doesn't go all the way around, but in an odd way. Most of the bar seats are in direct line of the cold air from the exit door. The most confusing part is that the tv screen itself is directly above the edge of the bar. So from the seat, you have to look up at an angle to catch game highlights, and it's unlikely you'd be able to watch a full game. AMBIANCE: While the entrance line leading up to order at the bar was not quite obvious, it was large enough to handle a long queue if there were one. The menu in the TV screen was overwhelming, but you can stand in line and read a paper copy. There is tons of seating - mostly four- or six- person tables. As much as I'd come spend time at the Collection, I would make a point to go somewhere else to avoid repeating a visit at Hopdoddy.

There was live music outside and the patio areas were packed. Where we sat inside though had a few tables open and we were sat right away at 7pm on a Friday night. No complaints there. This is a great place for families and it's super loud inside and out so bring the kids and let them go nuts. I think the let down for me was the food. They are known for their burgers but for some reason I ordered the "Nashville Hot" chicken sandwich. I LOVE this sandwich and if I see it on the menu I tend to order it. I put the name in quotes because this was NOTHING like a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. This was a fried chicken sandwich with a squeeze of hot sauce and honey. Absolutely horrible. The breading fell off immediately and it was just gross, greasy and slippery. No flavor, no heat. The second disappointment were the onion rings. Greasy, Soggy, mushy, and again, the breading immediately fell off. They were like eating fried spaghetti. The final letdown was the service. Our server was nice when she greeted us, but we saw her maybe once during our meal. Never filled our drinks and she checked on us once during our meal. The food took 45 minutes to come to our table. I am not sure if she was new. Tonight in general was just a bust. On the bright side, my wife said that her meal was good. Lesson learned. Stick to the burgers and fries.

BW has won the last two years Burger Week so I had high expectations. Also looking at the menu, I will be certain to visit again as it had some awesome looking burgers listed. The Burger Experience The description promised a lot: a double 1/4lb burger on a toasted brioche bun, loaded with fried mozzarella, crispy bacon, sweet-smoky bourbon bacon jam, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato. While the burger was definitely tasty it sadly missed  the mark as vibes didn't  match the promo photo or description. Maybe it was due to Burger Week Kitchen Fatigue, who knows but I hope the kitchen sees this review and steps up their presentation.  Comparing the promo shot to the actual burger was a big miss. The promo showed a perfectly architectural tower with massive onion straws, while the actual burger relied more on the fried mozzarella and bacon for bulk. It was a solid burger, but the kitchen missed the mark IMO. The Sides & Service The real star of the show might have been the Waffle Sweet Potato Fries. I asked for them to be extra crispy, and the kitchen nailed it--perfectly crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As for the service, it was just okay. It was a busy Saturday afternoon during a Burger Week so it was a packed house, so while it wasn't stellar, it was functional. In fact, the table next to use was seated after us, had more people 4vs2 and  they served and nearly finished before our food even arrived to the table. Final Verdict If you're in Norcross it's worth a stop to check out B&W based on the menu options but don't expect too much from the Burger Week Burger.
