Occasionally, when I come in there is an older lady working, and she always tries to seat me in the very back corner and I have to ask to sit closer to a window if one is available. They have a rewards program, you get a stamp when you spend over $20, after 10 stamps, you get a free 10" pizza or popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, it's not 1 stamp per $20 you spend. So if your bill is $50 on average, you end up spending $500 to get a $15 item free. read more

We popped in here today because my father saw a famous Korean guy on YouTube eat here and it apparently looked tasty. We decided to give it a shot today. Plenty of parking in this strip mall, easy to find. Greeted upon entering and we sat down and looked over the menu. Gina was our server and she was super nice and helpful. Discussed the options (there are plenty to choose from!) and took our order. We decided to try the fried chicken (split flavors between garlic and and sweet and mild) and a small Kimchee pizza. With our drinks came a shredded cabbage salad with homemade 1000 Island dressing, and pickled radishes, a staple for Korean spots. Both were good and helpful since I was starving and I know frying an entire chicken takes time. In case you're wondering- the chicken is completely legit. The batter is rice flour so it's still super crispy even after saucing. I was hungry but we knew the pizza had to be eaten on the spot because reheating it won't help. The combination of toppings made it very tasty. I highly recommend this spot. Clearly they do a good amount of take out- but getting your chicken "too hot to eat but too delicious to stop" is a real conundrum. We took chicken home with us. I have been dying to try this spot for years, known for their Korean pizza and fried chicken. We stopped in for a late lunch while waiting for my pup's grooming appointment. We ordered the spicy hot wings and the sweet potato pizza. The man at the counter did confirm that the spicy hot was a little spicy, which I figured I could take it. And HOLY. They're spicy ALMOST on the verge of hurting. Like, they're tasty but also I know it's going to really hurt later. The sweet man took pity on my visible sweating and offered me a soft drink on the house. Even so, the wings were crispy and delicious. Maybe I will avoid the spicy hot next time though... but if you're up for the spicy challenge, I definitely recommend them! The sweet potato pizza was also quite tasty. I think I may have had better... and wasn't a HUGE fan of the pineapple, but I did enjoy the pizza overall. Definitely recommend if you like pineapple on your pizza. This was a weird experience. When I opened the box, it smelled like garlic, and I could see the Parmesan, but when I tasted them, they were sweet and didn't really taste like anything else. I'm missing that saltiness that comes out when I when I add a garlic and Parmesan, so it was really weird. I can't say I liked them very much, and they weren't crispy for long because the sweet syrup that they put on just made it kind of soggy, so I would be open to trying other things but I don't really like their fries. read more

To come to this place with my Korean friend was a treat. She kept telling me I had to taste Korean Fried chicken. It is set in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking and other shops to walk off your food after. It's not a big place and feels more like a fast food spot but the decor is very nice with a pleasant vibe. I loved the tables! So it was explained to me that the chicken is cooked in rice flour. What a difference!! It was so amazing. The crunch on that chicken! It was served very hot so be careful. The chicken is juicy and very tasteful. Their fries are super crispy and good as well. The portion size is enough for 3 people but the two of us ate it all. I would have liked a ginger sauce in the shredded cabbage opposed to the thousand island dressing but it was still good and gave you the balance with the chicken as intended. First time here and I would say it did not disappoint! Ordered the whole chicken sweet & mild and sweet potato 10" pizza. Perfect size for two because we had leftovers to take home. The chicken was crispy! The flavor for the sauce on the chicken was really good but I thought the meat inside was a bit dry. I would go back for the wings instead of the whole chicken next time! They gave cabbage and pickled radishes as sides which I loved. The potato pizza was really good right out of the oven. Did a day trip up to Atlanta on some business from Jacksonville. While visiting some good friends in Suwanee who swear by this local spot, it definitely did not disappoint. The owner of the place is such a sweet older Korean uncle who is obsessed with customer service and making sure his customer's are satisfied. Maybe we got special treatment because during this COVID time there were hardly anyone there, or maybe it was because we were Asian. Regardless, even through his facemask, we could tell he was smiling the entire time we were there - fantastic food to top it off. This place puts a little twist in the traditional Korean wings place with pizza! I also went out on a limb to order Soju for my drink even though I didn't see it on the menu - in fact, I almost ordered as a joke, but I figure all Korean places have to have Soju - Uncle surprised me and brought out a chilled kettle with Soju in it!! They also serve local and imported beers which were on the menu. To be perfectly honest, after our meal, Uncle stood and talked to us for a little while, asked where we were from and about our backgrounds. He told me he thought I was Korean because I specifically asked for Soju - thinking back the kettle of Soju he brought out might have even been from his own personal stash since it wasn't even on the menu... We've been coming here sporadically since BonBon Chicken opened and have enjoyed the food and service. Their chicken has been phenomenal in the past. Their tonkatsu and fish katsu were also really good. But there must be a new owner or something. While the fried fish cutlet (katsu) I had was good, it was a bit overcooked. My wife's tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) was a total disaster. Thin as cardboard (the breadcrumbs were thicker than the pork) and overcooked, not at all like previous experiences or like the pictures in the menu/on the wall. Oh, and no Bulldog Tonkatsu Sauce, only some other type of sauce that didn't work for us. The service was OK and the place is clean, no real ambiance but we don't care about that, we just want good food. This time we were very disappointed. Really love the way that a whole fried chicken does not come out whole. It's cut up and fried. As for the pizza, it was pretty good as well. Cheesy as hell and doughy with that faint bit of sweetness. I was down for getting the kimchi pizza but got overruled! I'll have to go back for that. A Suwanee hidden gem. When it comes to chicken and beer, Koreans love that combination! Korean fried chicken has to be one of the best thing to eat on the fly and Bon Bon is definitely one of the better ones. The batter is light yet crispy, the flavor is big as I tasted the lemon pepper version, and made to order so it's fresh! Due to the current lock down situation, they only take carry out but it takes 15 minutes to cook and it's piping hot which is how this should be enjoyed A word of caution, the lemon pepper is quite tart! Powerfully sour but equally flavorful!!! Start with the regular first and at $13, it's a great price for great fried chicken. The only downside is that the wings are a bit small. read more

We ordered take out based on recommendation from my sister in law. We got the organic sweet potato pizza and wings combo. The pizza was pretty good and chewy. It had an interesting combination of sweet potatoes, corn, and pineapples as toppings. It wasn't bad at all and my almost 2 year old toddler ate half a slice so I was pretty pleased with that! The wings is the reason for the lower rating. We asked for the sauce to be put on the side and received no sauce at all. Because of COVID times we are not looking through all the ordered food before we get home to clean. Also the wings were 2 inches long (see picture). I have never seen wings that small. The last time I reviewed this place was 2016, but I must say I would have probably given it 2 or 3 stars in 2017 or 2018. The quality has significantly gone down since then, but I think ownership changed. At first, I heard some nightmare stories so I didn't go again. But, my mom wanted some wings and I decided to check it back out and give it another chance. I ordered the 20 pc wings (half buffalo, half snowing cheese). The wings itself were good -- the chicken was flavorful, and it was crispy. The sauce on the other hand was a little lackluster. I was hoping that it would be buffalo wings like the wing place style, but the flavor was not spicy enough. Slightly disappointing, but the wings itself were pretty good so I was a-OK. The snowing cheese was exactly a 4-star wing. Not too special, but it tastes pretty great too. I loved how they gave us two sides of radishes and two side salads -- so considerate. Seeing how they aren't stingy on that part already shows that it's a lot better than before. They also added a few items to the menu, such as spicy rice cakes. They also began a coupon program where you collect 10 coupons and you get a free chicken (very common in the Korean chicken world). Overall, I think 4 stars is the right rating -- it's not out of the world, but I'd definitely go back to it. Most importantly, I'm just still grateful that they use rice flour. This place has quiet, non-disturbing and friendly atmosphere where we can relax and drink beer with various kind of delicious chicken marinated with recipe made by the owner. Owner is humble, respectful and friendly. They also have pork cutlet, Don-Katsu, which has a taste of one and only in town. Bonbon is a new chicken & pizza spot. Came here due to some friends' recommendation and I'm hooked. As soon as you walk in you'll be pleased to see the rustic modernish style inside this eatery (quite different interior style from the other Korean chicken and pizza spots in Atlanta). Always thought it was a unique combination of some Korean cafes to have a limited menu centered around pizza and Korean style fried chicken. But you know what? Since it works and there's a huge fan following they are clearly doing something right. I would recommend their yangyum (yes, yummy it is) fried chicken. It's good in both the wings form as well as a whole chicken broken into a variety of pieces (drumsticks and other mini baby fists sized chicken). I really appreciate the size of their chicken wings. They are a hearty size. Much props to them for biting the costs of getting meaty chicken wings opposed to the smaller super small chicken wings out there at other places. On top of that the Korean mild & sweet seasoning sauce they use on the wings (if that's how you order them) is SO GOOD! Seriously. You just gotta try it. They also have spicy sauced chicken for those that like it hot (spicy). I didn't like the lemon pepper or garlic Parmesan wings/chickens though. Too mild flavor for me. You may like it though. Now onto their dontaksu (pork), chicken katsu, & fish katsu. Huge servings when you order any of these. Comes with a side of fruit and a shredded salad (shredded lettuce & 1000 Island type dressing). I've tried all three and they're all good. My fav would probably be the dontaksu. Pizza- they have 8 different options in two sizes (10 in and 14 in). Out of the 8, 4 pizza options are pretty unique- Organic sweet potato pizza, kimchi pizza, gold potato pizza, chicken pesto pizza, & Bonbon white pizza. I've only tried their organic sweet potato pizza due to a friend's recommendation and I enjoyed it! It's a Korean style pizza (to have any sort of potato) but it just works...especially if you like sweet potato. Definitely on the sweeter side. Don't know what's in their signature gold sauce but that stuff is legit. For those less adventurous they also have your traditional cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and Hawaiian pizza. I've brought several friends here and they are hooked. Definitely give this spot a try. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. At times this place gets pretty hectic so factor that in with the service at that time. They have some flat screen TV's playing Korean pop music videos so there is something to help the time pass. Located in a quiet complex with not too much traffic, bon bon is a small cozy spot next to the huge office depot. Look to the left of the gigantic office depot sign on the corner to find this spot. The workers are all fine and friendly. They all seemed to be young and trendy part time workers. Not the hole in the wall grandma type of a place. They serve beer, korean fried chicken, and korean fusion pizzas. I've only had the chicken, and while its not bad, it's not a place i'd return to for their chicken. There are a few different flavors of sauces, and it's easy enough to order online or over the phone for takeout or an early order. One whole small chicken costs ~$18 including tax. Chicken wasn't super crispy, but felt like the meat was quite dry inside. I was a fan of the sauce - sweeter and more traditional than other korean chicken places that are trying to make the chicken healthier and different and by so, losing that more traditional flavor. But it's missing a kick to the flavor and is very mild and boring, in a way. Came saturday evening around 7pm, and was empty save for one table. Highly recommend!!! Great little casual place where East meets West. Pizza, wings and "tonkatsu" (Japanese style fried pork cutlet, chicken or fish). Reasonably priced for the portions you'll get! Nice little trendy restaurant, very casual and quasi fast food establishment. While we were here, it was moderately busy. I read other reviews after we were already seated and ordered, and I'm glad we ended up giving this place a try. In the end, we found that each of our meals were super huge, and generous portions! It was really really good. The fried cutlets (tonkatsu) were super crunchy, fresh and yummy good! Our dish also came with some pickled condiments, strawberries and a cabbage type salad, rice and miso soup. The current Co. Health report for this location is "A" with 100 (oppose to a previous inspection....based on a comment from a previous reviewer's post). The permits for this establishment are prominently displayed, and located at the counter and register area. However anyone can also do their own investigation on line through the County Health Dept too. It appears that the owners are very conscientious of the quality of food and how they run their business. We're supporters of small local business. Hope they continue with doing well. read more

They're all about fried chicken, pizza and donkatsu. We had a super friendly and not to mention adorable waitress explained the menu to us and recommended their specialties. So we ordered Fried Chicken with the sweet chili sauce on the side ($1.00). I'm so glad we did this because the sauce would have been made the chicken too smothered in thick sticky sauce that my toddler would not be able to it. Most of the order are considered 1 whole chicken but cut into little pieces. I like that they use rice flour batter for the fried chicken. This is great for those who are GF diet. I hate to write this review because I do you support small businesses but my latest order from here convinced me to share my experience. A few nights ago, My family of six order two sweet potatoes and 3 fried chickens. Totaling to be about $94 plus taxes and gratuity. The chicken were okay a bit dry but that's probably because it was to go. The pizza was what disappointed me and my family. Bonbon has been locally popular because they "used to" make their pizza fresh as others have posted photos. But tonight the pizza appeared to have been heated frozen pizza from Walmart. When a customer is paying $20 per pizza and they sell them frozen pizza is completely unacceptable. I'm sure because of the pandemic has forced them to cut some corners and quality. Because of that I can no longer recommend Bonbon anymore to anyone. Please stay away. read more
