Food was well executed and staff was very friendly and responsive. 100% recommend. Plenty of seating for individuals or large groups. Restaurant was clean.

    Original chicken

Korean fried chicken was delicious!!! Our Filipina server was very friendly! We ordered the fried chicken (original, cheeseling and favoury), kimchi rice, beef bulgogi with rice and salad. It was very delicious that we had to go back on our last night in the area!!!

Dish Mala Hot Wings Pros Great spice level Wings served hot Sauce covered all wings Great service Friendly staff Good location Clean restaurant/restroom Great options on menu Boneless and bone in options Cons Have to pay to park I had a great experience at this restaurant and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the Mala hot wings and these wings did not blow my palate. Don't get me wrong, they are hot but my heart level is ridiculous high. I would definitely come back here for the flavorful and falling of the bone wings.

Grabbing a quick lunch here service and food are always good here. The server came quickly and I ordered Gangjeong-Fried chicken sautéed with sweet and mildly spicy traditional Korean Gangjeong sauce. As you can see very clean and very relaxing atmosphere. The decor is casual and very nice background. It's located off the backlane of Main Street but also accessible down the outdoor walkway. It's worthwhile to sample their menu items. The menus are a little shop worn but made up by the delicious food. Very well priced for what you get. As usual delicious.

It's delicious. Period. The regular chicken is the favorite and get the radish. They go hand in hand.

The…read morerestaurant is kind of tucked away in a mall, but there are signs advertising it on the main street. It was a particularly cold and windy day so some Korean soup sounded amazing. We came around 3PM so it wasn't too busy. The place looks a little dated and seems like it used to be a different type of restaurant but that doesn't really matter to me. The food is good which is the most important part. Then banchan came first and there weren't as many dishes as I'm usually used to. My favorite banchan is definitely fishcakes and they were missed here. The kimchi was good though and so was everything else. I ordered the Sokkoritang or Oxtail Soup. The broth was super flavorful and milky while the oxtail was super tender. This was so comforting after being in the cold for a few hours. I could sip on the broth all day. It wasn't overly salty, in fact it was under salted but they provide salt for you to salt the dish to your liking. My girlfriend got the Galbitang or Short Rib Soup and she seemed to really enjoy it. The short ribs were cooked well and came off the bones easily. The broth was nice and beefy. Service was good. I can definitely recommend Seoul Country.

Gamja Tang - Really nice and comforting. Its exceptionally delish. Meat is super fall off the bone tender. 9/10   Japchae - Noodles are a bit overdone, but the flavors to forgive the soggy noodles. 7.8/10   Hameul Pajoon - Pancake is pretty, a bit skimpish on the ingredients. Other than that its a pretty good pancake. 7.3/10   Assorted Banchan - Kimchi was pretty good, the spinach was ok, the bean spouts are tasty and the reddish was superb. 8/10   Bibimbap - Pretty Good,, a bit more flavor is needed but the Gochujang does take it home. 7.5/1]   Bulgogi - its a bit on the mid side. Some flavor needed, but over all not bad. 7/10   Galbi -  Actually nicely seasoned and marinated. It stands by itself. I adore a good galbi. 8.8/10 The setting is pretty nice. Service was on point and I would highly recommend for a proper sit down meal after a long day of looking around. By the time we were ready, it took a while to find someone to take our order. The most wanted item is sold out, a fact that they told us upon ordering. Will be appreciated if we know ahead of time so we have more time to consider 'back up item'. There was a table beside us (came after us) who also discussed about ordering same sold-out items, and I was very tempted to tell them that it's sold out. But I figure it's not my place to say because the restaurant must have its own reason for NOT telling this upfront!!?????!! Ordered pork belly skewer , shiitake skewer, shrimp in spicy peanut sauce, and aburi salmon handroll, miso creme brulee. Best items are the shrimp with spicy peanut sauce, and miso creme brulee. Just wow!! For the rest: -If u have eaten shiitake before (at home for example) , u know nothing can go wrong with shiitake as it's already flavorful in its own (safe choice). -Pork belly has good flavor but kinda too fatty (it is a totally different style from the one I usually eat at other places). -Aburi salmon handroll doesnt taste like aburi at all. Just normal handroll basically. Nth special. It was my friend's birthday, we asked if they hv noodle (considering we were farrr from home) and they said it's only available during lunch (which is understandable), but then nth else was done to help celebrate this moment when they hear this fact (simple smile or simple 'happy birthday' could be a gift in its own). Overall, food-wise, we agree on best item and that this place is kinda meh (in terms of food selection and feels like very few 'flavor-worthed' ones).

Our group was located in an annex room right of the main entrance and was the perfect size to fit all of us. We had 2 primary servers who did an excellent job of making sure we had full glasses and full plates. We did family-style sharing of some of their starters and main dishes. The Bread and Butter was really delicious and it looks like their butter flavor is on rotation daily. The duck wings had a peach glaze and nuoc cham and cilantro- great combination. The chicken vegetable dumplings had great skin and texture. The peppercorn salad was adorned with pickled cabbage, capers, maple coconut, crunchy chickpeas and more - it was amazing. We also tried the Thai basil risotto and it was good but I'd go with the peppercorn salad over this if you're sticking vegetarian. The final dish was Alberta AAA Beef Brisket accompanied by gochujang mashed potatoes and broccolini. The brisket was incredible and just melted on the tongue. And the beer/spirits here were impressive as well. BLAKE is a must-try destination while in Canmore!
