Called and left message for Tim Griffin two days ago, and he called back the same day - he was working in my area the next day so he added me to the schedule. Called when heading to my house and again upon arrival. Went to work immediately with his adult son as well. Inside was completely cleaned - he checked for leaks (none) but did have to replace the tank valve. He cleaned up after done, and gave an ~ 10% discount for cash. My Weber BBQ was purchased in 2013 and now seems like almost new. I did order new flavor bars on Amazon at Tim's recommendation - already received and installed. Excellent job by Tim and his son. I called him when my BBQ was not lighting. I knew it was related to the electric ignighter. I was not wanting to pay for a whole cleaning. But he offered to come and just fix the problem. I believe that I was the first customer of Tim Griffin BBQ Dr. and in fact it is my Q that is shown as the before and after on his website. A mason friend created a magnificent custom stone enclosure around my Brinkmann and it worked great but the used Brinkmann I purchased started rusting and causing problems. The BBQ Dr completely stripped the Q apart, ordered and replaced the parts (prob took 3-4 trips out here to do so) and explained what I could do to preserve the Q going forward. In all honesty, I don' believe another Q repair company would have even attempted the job. Now that I know how to take care of my Q properly, I am good to go. Trustworthy, honest, nice and just wants to do a good job. He educated me on the BBQ and how to maintain it. He had a replacement part that worked for my 8 year old BBQ (I called him Mcgyver). He came on time and was very thorough. I thought I was going to have to just order a bunch of parts or get a new BBQ, but it came down to a good cleaning and one part. 100 dollars later (he spent 90 minutes working on servicing and cleaning all parts) including the part (which was slightly used but was still good and a new part would have cost 60 dollars)...I was ready to BBQ. We have a built in island BBQ and shortly after we bought it, the back burners stopped working. We ignored the problem for several years until I finally decided it was time to get someone to look at it. Based on Yelp, I went with Tim. If I could give him 10 stars I would!! Full disclosure: I am NOT BBQ competent- AT ALL. That's the BF's job. I contacted Tim, sent him a few pictures and he was able to walk me through the diagnosis- over the phone!- for free!! I called Tim in February and explained that we had a bulit in DCS grill that was not taken care of for many years (we had just bought a house). He said that he was booked up until July, but quoted us a price and we booked him up. July finally came and he called the day before to confirm his appointment. He came on time, was talkative and very friendly. He finished the job in a few hours, stuck to his original quote, tested everything out for me, and cleaned everything up so it looked like he had never been there. When we first moved in, we didn't know if we would be able to salvage the $5k-$6k grill that came with the house. Now, everything works great! We have one final step before we can use the grill - we have taken the cast iron grills to be sandblasted (A total cost of $50 instead of replacing the grills for $500 - Tim's suggestion). Tim was friendly, clean, on-time, and does great work - his only problem is that everybody loves using him so be prepared to book an appointment many months out - highly recommended! read more

My built in BBQ of 13 years wasn't working well at all. Before I spent $1500 or more on a new one I called Tim. In three hours he had it as good as the day it was installed. I have a high end DCS Barbecue, built in, that is about ten years old. It needed a refurbishing. I contacted Tim and he told me what parts to buy in advance, and where to buy them the cheapest. When he arrived on time for his appointment, he went to work and did a perfect job. Arrived about 9 a.m. and stayed until after lunch. His fee was about $250. We have a built-in gas BBQ and not knowing we are supposed to service the BBQ, it was clogged and one of the knobs caught on fire, a real mess. Tim was backed up for a few months, which should say enough, but given the price of the grill we didn't want to take any chances and we made the right decision. Tim doesn't just come and fix what us novices asked him to since we had no clue, he took the grill apart, fixed three other leaks, serviced and cleaned the entire appliance. When I saw what came out of that thing, I am surprised it worked as long as it did. Tim spent 3 hours making all the repairs and service and since I have a large window to my backyard, I could see him working the entire time with all his equipment. After he showed me the where the problem came from, tested it out while I watched and advised service every couple of years. Works better now than when we moved in. read more
