I found out about this place when the guy below made a 15 minute youtube video about it LOL. Otherwise it would have been just another desi restaurant in Hicksville. Since April I've been to this place at least 5 times and I've always had great food here. When the brothers who run the restaurant work, the food will be on point. I think the mom who works there on nights by herself, the food and service might be eh. Zinger Burger is a must, its bigger than your average sandwich and flavored right. The seekh kebab's are always made fresh and for $2 its a good size. No joke, the Biryani here has potential to be the best in New York but I've yet to try it fresh. Called to ask about why we didn't get as much food as we ordered, was told by the person I was speaking to "don't order from here again then". Very unprofessional. I ordered off grubhub for my family of 5, when the food arrived to my house I noticed that not only were the portions tiny for almost 60 dollars worth of food, but we were also missing an item that we ordered. After further investigation I was able to figure out that they had removed it from our order and did not bother to inform us. We had 2 orders of chicken makhni (for 9.99 each) and got two small containers of the chicken, 2 containers of white rice (5.98), and 2 garlic nan (for 3.99 each). Here's the kicker, the containers were filled to the brim with sauce and had about 3 bite sized pieces of chicken in them EACH. The rice was undercooked (but at least they sent an abundance of rice) , and the nan was not that good. Now that we've talked about the food, let's talk about the customer service. When I realized that we weren't given the portions that could feed a family of 3, I called the restaurant to ask if there had been a misunderstanding. Nope, no misunderstanding. However, when I mentioned that each container had about 3 pieces of bite sized chicken, the woman cut me off mid sentence and said she was the one who puts orders together and I had to be wrong. The nihari is spicy and delicious as is the chicken tikka kebab. I can't rate this one the same because service is utter chaos. Eating in and one person's food coming out a lot sooner than the other is the complaint. I still love the food here but this location is best to do take out. I agree with all the other reviewers. This place has gone to sh*t. The guy that takes the orders over the phone is ridiculously rude and litterally hangs up on you when you call in. They are out of menu items on a regular basis, and the sanitation of this place is horible. Have given them enough chances, only to be disappointed over and over again. This place is a Zoo. It's pure chaos, everyone all over the place. Firstly, when you walk in you grab a menu and find a table. Once you decide what you want to order you place your order at the counter and the server will bring to you once ready. However, no one tells you what is going on and what's the seating or ordering procedure. Customers who place a pickup order try to just stick their arm around you to pay and pickup instead of waiting your turn. The tables are dirty and seats sticky and to top it off the food isn't good. My wife and I have been going here for a little over a year, and have not really been disappointed any time. We got in the habit of going Friday evenings, before the anticipated dinner rush, because then seating is a problem and they experience increased wait times. It's a thin piece of chicken cutlet coated with a few spices, fried.Topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo and ketchup on a sesame seed burger bun. This goes well with the masala fries (french fries coated with spices). Both very good by itself or together. Try the Ziner Burger with white sauce, it adds more awesomeness. If you come here over the weekend be prepared to wait either for a seat and/or for your order. It's gets packed fairly quickly and the kitchen is hustling take out and tables orders. Order some naan (if you got a table) while you wait, those come out quickly. Naan by itself is just as good (idc what you have to say). Service is alright, just don't expect to be greeted walking in by a server. This was one of the smaller places, and the fact that they made their food to takeout made my decision much easier. Only if Yelp mobile for my Windows 7 phone was more helpful.
