They're known for their burgers and far from a fan of their burgers. Apparently one of the best food options out here according to my friend whose been situated in this area for a few months now. We usually have similar taste in food. So I'll trust her on this. I would say just don't get avocado added on your burger.. that's an extra buck and it's pretty hard.. think the opposite of 'California avocado'. It was hard. Not worth it. The bun.. the texture I just couldn't stand. Hard shell. The fries were good. My boyfriend got a chili dog and it was soggy.. - But the dessert options... OH MY.. deep fried pb&j and so many other options.. My friend and I got the funnel cake. If we had known, we would've asked for no whip cream.. they gave us too much of it and we both don't like whip cream. But aside from that it was good. I wanted to give this place a better rating, but I can't. After several years away from Ukiah, I wanted to hit up my old favorite spots. Be-Bops being one of them. The quality of food has gone way down. My burger and bun were dry. The topping were very light. The Be-Bops sauce, while good, was also lacking. I ordered the onion rings. The were drooling in grease. Literally had to put them on napkins to soak up the grease. We ordered garlic fries as an appetizer, but waited over 30 minutes for them. Others had their food they ordered after us. Service was ok. Could have been a lot better. I'm really bummed this place went so downhill. read more

Food is expensive for what it is. The Richie Valens Burger with Jalapenos comes to $11, getting it with onions rings adds almost an extra $4. And the burger was fine, just not for that price. Even the Lost Coast Rootbeer was $4.25. Ouch! The fried clam chowder balls are downright horrifyingly bad, like an ingredient that had been used to make them had gone bad. The chicken tenders were huge and tender though, I would order them again if I found myself here. The decor is also very cute, 1950's diner style, neon, vinyl booths. So, I have eaten at BeBops several times before. Yes I agree it is over priced but generally good food. Nothing spectacular. It happens to be convenient to where I live. Today I ordered a great balls of fire with onion rings. For pick up. I paid for my food and took a seat at the bar. I noticed one of the cooks picking onion rings out of the dryer with his fingers. And realized they were mine. I was handed my food and left. At the moment i did not have the bandwith to ask for another set of onion rings. I figured if they were hot when I got home I should be safe. I only ate two. To the management at BeBops: your team should use tongs or something more hygienic to remove food from fyers and know that your patrons are watching. Not sure I'll be back. read more

I liked it... AND be bop a lula I don't mean maybe!! From the moment the neon sign went up on the outside, it was obvious that a lot of time, money, and thought went in to the creation of Be Bops. The results? A bit nostalgic for some, fun for others, and maybe a bit loud for a few. Personally, I found the 50's décor and music to be festive and the wait-staff friendly. I enjoyed when, at the top of the hour, the music was turned up and the waitresses enthusiastically ran into the isles and started doing the twist! Hands down the best grilled cheese my son and I have ever had. He had the kids' grilled cheese and I had the Parmesan crusted mushroom stuffed delicious madness grownups' version. We live pretty far away but I'm so glad we found this spot and it's well worth the drive! Parking is easy to find! ~Food My dad ordered the chicken and fish combo ($12.45) and apparently they ran out of fish. So instead of giving 2 pieces of fish & 2 pieces of chicken, they asked if it was okay to give 3 pieces of chicken & 1 piece of fish. It turns out the fish was extremely small and overcooked because the fish was chewy. The chicken was slightly better but still a little overcooked. My mom & I both got a single patty hamburger ($8.45). I got the Little Joe's Favorite which consisted of garlic supreme fries, American & jack cheese, bop sauce, all in a bun. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but it was a little small. For dessert, we shared the funnel cake fries ($7.95). This consisted of vanilla ice cream & a choice of chocolate or strawberry syrup. Usually they are pretty good, but I am finding it harder and harder to to spend my hard earned monies. Right now I think X is a bit over cooked or dry, hard to find workers during the pandemic; but when fries are cold and really really greasy and onion rings hot oily and completely mushy!!! The only explanation is they were cooked earlier and refried or microwaved. An order of onion rings runs nearly $9 so when they are basically inedible what do you do? Drive back across town and make them make you another batch? Before or after you eat the rest of your food? The selections were very specific to one's taste and if you wanted to alter it, it would cost a pretty penny. A replica of an old-fashioned hamburger drive in, Be Bops dazzling neon and brightly lit interior drew us in. Mr. PDMAE went with the double burger, and I was in the mood for change of pace, so I went with a grilled ham and cheese on marbled rye. We shared an order of chili cheese fries on the side. All orders more than satisfied, and service was speedy, courteous, and poodle-skirted. Be Bops must be pretty new, it doesn't show on Urbanspoon or any of the other usual sites I check for cross reference. Nor can I locate a website. Love this place! This is where my bro and I meet our friend. It's halfway between us. Set up like a 50s diner..very cute. The servers are so friendly and attentive. I'm surprised on the mediocre reviews of this place. The wife and I were in town and cruising up the strip dying for a burger. Be-Bops caught our eye. The place was packed, so we decided to get the food to take back to our hotel. We order two Be-Bop burgers, onion rings and a strawberry shake. The wait was well over 20 minutes and we were starving. The burger was delicious. As good and tasty as any burger out there, that's how much we enjoyed it. Tasty Be-bop sauce complimented the O-rings which were skimpy on the portions, but very good. While this place won't win any awards for the food is a great kitschy 50s style diner complete with checkerboard floors, working stop lights and the doors, 50s music playing, and 50s style red and white naugahyde glitter vinyl booths with great boomerang atomic age pattern on the tables. The servers are young, friendly and one was dressed in a poodle skirt. Their burgers come in S, M, and L. Which simply means 1, 2, or 3 1/4 patties. They also come with cute names like the Peggy Sue, James Dean, etc. You have your choice of mayo, garlic mayo, or Bop sauce (just their take on a thousand island). My Peggy Sue was a bacon cheeseburger. Pretty good, meat could use a little salt and pepper before cooking, but patties were juicy even though cooked to well done. Fries were crispy on the outside. The bf had a pastrami dog. The pastrami was cut into small pieces making it easier to eat on the dog, and while not the best pastrami ever, it did have a nice taste.
