The food here is so delicious and high quality- their burger is tender, flavorful and juicy, and their fish and chips are crispy and fresh, paired perfectly with the dill tartar sauce and some lemon. The fries are hot while crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, everything including their uniquely seasoned coleslaw was delicious and filling. 10/10, the service was great and everyone was friendly, even the outside seating in front of the truck was fun and on theme. I cannot recommend it enough!

The food was definitely fresh and the quality was great, it may just be a personal preference but I felt a lot of the food was lacking in flavor. The risotto was okay but my fiancé did like his fish. Dessert was no good unfortunately, not a fan, not much sweetness going on and the textures were not to our liking. The oysters were the highlight of the night, possibly the best oysters I've had! They tasted amazing and paired well with my drink. Dinner would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't so crazy loud that you basically had to yell to hear each other or the server. Seating was also tight with so many people waiting to be seated and servers handling orders. It would've been a better experience if the other employees weren't shoving you to get by people blocking the way or if other customers weren't smacking your head with their bags from walking behind your chair. Service was meh...our server seemed aggravated but I just chalked it up to being a busy night.

I got a window seat for some typical solo tracker people watching activity. I went with the highly recommended items. Beet salad, seafood pasta, 2 glasses of brut rose. Beet salad was great! Love the flavor combination and also the plating. Super pretty. The seafood pasta was great. Pasta got a good bite to it and seafood was fresh. I had a nice chat with Heidi. She is the mother of the head chef. She is one proud mama and super fun to chat with. She recommended the bread pudding and I got it. Lovely. It is a little on the dense side but the lemon cut through the heaviness and make it balanced. I really enjoyed it here. Overall, I enjoyed ukiah in general. Good food scene (better than Mendocino) and just nicer people all around. Would like to come back again.

The crab was sweet and delicious. They definitely did not skimp out on the amount of crab in the crab roll which was great. I liked the creamy and thickness of the clam chowder and was really glad that it wasn't too salty which is usually my fear. I really enjoyed the cherry cider as my beverage. It is refreshing, fruity, and light. It tastes like juice pretty much. Just a nice touch of sweetness and acidity to balance out the meal. I was grateful to the employees for getting our orders out in a timely fashion. There was a bit of a mix up with some of the orders but it happens with big parties and for the most part everything was correct! Overall, I had a great meal here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

If you're thinking this place feels like any other seafood place in a tourist town (malibu,…read moremonterey, etc), then prepare to have your viewpoints altered. While the checkered paper, fresh seafood, outdoor seating and walk up to order may all be part of the experience, this is probably the best seafood I've had in one of these beach towns. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, crab sandwich with chowder and blackened cod plate. The shrimp cocktail contains a surprising amount of shrimp for the price - and you can definitely taste how fresh the shrimp is! The crab sandwich was pretty good and light, but I feel like the blackened cod overshadowed everything. The cod was so flavorful, and you get 4-5 pieces. It's a cajun style seasoning where you can taste the spice - to a point it may be a little too spicy for people with low spice tolerance. The bread is buttered and the salad is fresh - you could not ask for a better meal. The clam chowder is a little different from most other places; they add some seasonings and spice to the chowder so it's not the traditional creamy, heavy soup you're expecting. It's like clam chowder premium, I prefer their version over a more traditional version. The view of the turquoise colored water is amazing from their indoor patio, as it's covered in windows. They also have an outdoor patio where you can take pictures of the color. The line to order was quick, but we saw that the line can get long with extended wait times depending on customer numbers. Water is self serve, and you also bus your own plates. When visiting Fort Bragg, you have to come to eat here, for the food, the view, and the service!

After a walk along the coast and an appetite has been acquired, it is a short walk to this small fancy restaurant just off of downtown. Upon entering, there is a small initimate bar, dining area and a patio out back for "al fresco" dining. By San Francisco Bay Area city standards, it is not fancy in the luxurious, posh sense, but here, seafood is the star! First up, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. Frankly, they could have been prepared any which way - for the oyster fan, they were fresh and delicious! The salmon was good (although a bit overcooked, the waiter didn't ask how it should be cooked). The salmon came perched atop garlic mashed potatoes that were out of this world! The scallops were so fresh and tasty and perfectly paired with polenta and farm fresh asparagus! They also feature Northern California (as in North of the San Francisco Bay Area) wines and beers, something not readily found outside Mendocino County. There was no room for dessert, guaranteeing a trip back to get the full-on meal experience! The environment is convivial. On a late May early evening, there were graduation dinners out back on the patio, an intimate shared dinner with drinks going on in the bar, and ladies who dine in the corner. Another unique aspect of this restaurant is that it is very close (as in feet away) from the Mendocino Skunk train. Diners will experience the train horn, warning signals and small tremors caused by the train chugging by at any time during their meal. There are also people working out on pedal bikes (yes *on* the tracks) to get exercise on their tour of the redwoods in Mendocino! It added to the ambience as an "only in Fort Bragg" experience! We had a great meal and will be going back!

Being older, my friend and I don't eat like we used to. Broiler portions are hefty, so we choose to split/share a meal. This time, to our surprise, we had to ask for a second plate. The waitress responded that there was now a "second plate fee". WHAT? I buy a $47 meal and you'll charge me $6 for an extra plate? My only option was to eat my meal from my bread plate and it would have spilled onto the table. I agreed to the plate and was brought a much smaller than the normal size plate. There were 5 in our party and one take away meal. The bill was over $200 with no alcohol. By principle, I was gobsmacked that I was charged extra for a dang plate! The meal was delicious. I just can't get over the charge for an extra plate.

Had not eaten much during the day, so we headed there, arriving around 4:30. First 2 things I noticed: pretty non-descript building, but a lot of cars parked in front of and across from the place. Once inside we found out why, when asked if we had a reservation. At 4:30pm on a Tuesday! Waited only a short time before we were seated. My buddy had brought a nice bottle of Cab, the corkage being only $10 (which is unheard of these days, when average corkage fees run $20-$50). The meats are all cooked over oak-fired grills, so we were excited. First they brought us salads with an unusual "house" dressing, kind of a combo of Italian and 1000, with a bit of French and some horseradish. Very tasty. Also had some great warm sourdough rolls. I ordered the Top Sirloin with grilled shrimp, he got the Ribeye. They both were cooked perfectly medium rare, and came with potato choices or rice pilaf. I was stunned at the portion size of my steak! Especially with beef prices so high these days. By the way, both our dinners were under $40, a bargain in 2026. Service was excellent, all staff working hard. No wonder this place is still going strong after 60 years (opened in 1966). Recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a good cut of meat properly prepared and served by nice people.
