I have tried multiple yoga studios in the area including Firehouse Hot Yoga and Bala Yoga and Be One beats them all. The studio is clean and smells good. The owners have really put thought into the materials they used and the layout of the studio. What I mean is that I have been to hot yoga studios with carpet on the floor of the studio (eww!) In addition, there's always ample parking and this is definitely the newest of the studios I have been to. The main difference between this studio and the others is the instructors. Every class is different and the instructors don't just recite some script for you. They take the time to remember your name and get to know you. The staff is also really knowledgeable and will have an answer for any question you might ask. Love this place! read more

Teachers are awesome but most of them keep the room luke warm. There are a few like Kristin who Keeps the heat on the way it should be. Just curious as to why they keep it warm vs hot as that's what hot yoga is. Those people who complain that's it too hot should just do regular yoga. Or keep to the left of the room which is way cooler. read more

Awesome classes here. The temperature is great and there are even spots in the room that are less hot than others which is great if you're wanting to choose a different temperature each time. You can tell that many of the people in class are pretty fit and young. They have a great deal for first time clients. read more

I did a 7:30am Hatha Yoga with Laura today and had a wonderful experience! My booking was through Class Pass but you don't have to make reservations for the hot yoga classes ahead of time. I got there a little early and Laura welcomed me in, got me settled and showed me around. The class was smaller which I liked- only 4 people and the instructor. To start, this place is very welcoming and clean. There's a aromatherapy infused in the main check in area and the restroom which is always a nice touch. The hot yoga room I practiced in was heated to around 105 I believe- hottest yoga I've done so bring water and a towel! Laura did small minor adjustments during the exercises which actually made a big impact on my poses. The pace was right on and challenged me just enough. We did about 2/3 the time standing and the other third on the mat. Any FAVORITE thing was at the very end in shivasana, she laid a cold lavender scented towel over my forehead/eyes and opened the door- felt amazing ending our practice. They have wonderful prices and a $20 new student intro I will have to get! read more

Love doing hot yoga here! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the studio is beautiful. However there is nowhere to lock up your stuff unfortunately. Saturday afternoon it can get crowded, and it is a little expensive I love going to yoga first thing in the morning when there are less people. Some instructors push you a bit more than others. I have bounced from yoga studio to yoga studio. Never truly loving anything until I stepped foot in here. I haven't had a bad yoga teacher here and when they say hot, they mean hot, in the best way. You can choose to be under the heater or to the outer edges for a tad cooler. He teachers help you practice at your ability with great tips and tweaks. My friend knows some of the owners of this studio and convinced me to check it out. I believe its still pretty new. Nice large parking lot, although strangely next to a 5 guys (thankfully I'm a vegetarian, but others beware of those post workout burger craving). Pretty standard new student package with a month of unlimited yoga for 20$. Good incentive for people who are new to hot yoga to check out since a regular class is nearly that much. I really enjoyed the variety of classes offered at this studio, everything from slow flow, yin, hatha, hot vinyasa, etc. I get so bored at the hot yoga studios that only offer bikram style and am thankful for some other options. I would suggest mixing up the weekday morning classes though since 4 out of 5 are in fact hatha. I also really appreciate at a studio that offers classes later at night, here they start as late at 8:15 on weekdays. The water fountain with the spot to fill your water bottle directly from is pretty amazing too. I did find this room to be a bit hotter than I am used to despite doing hot yoga in many different places. It might be a good idea to not stand under the heaters if this gets to be too much. For some reason, in my 31 years, I've never tried yoga. My perception was that because it wasn't high intensity, that the workout wouldn't be as effective. After years of hearing how amazing yoga is, I decided to give it a try. I looked on Yelp and found Be One Yoga. I called in prior to going and spoke to Emily. I asked her what I should bring, how I should dress, and what class would be best for me. She was of much help! I came in to my first yoga class and it was Hot Hatha with Teng and it was incredible! He really helped me out for my first time and made me feel really comfortable (because I was kind of nervous!). It was 60 min of strength, balance, core, focus and sweat (I was still sweating even after leaving). I would recommend Be One Yoga to anyone. Novice, intermediate, or advanced! Namaste! read more

I'm new to hot yoga and must say that, while I don't love wrecking my hair with sweat, I absolutely love the way I feel after class -- refreshed inside and out (after a shower, especially). Studio is clean, room is well heated and instructors have all kept me engaged and energized. I really prefer the 60 minutes only because life is busy, so it's a nice change not to have to sit through the 90 minutes where it's so slow I anticipate every posture coming up. It's not a traditionally labeled Bikram studio (which I also like) allowing the teachers to change up their postures/ variations slightly - which helps keeps me more engaged for sure. Don't worry Bikram lovers, their Hatha class still moves through Bikram's 26 postures. I have taken both the Hatha and Vinyasa classes and have throughly enjoyed them both. The energy in the room is ever present, and they play music which helps me to stay out of my own head. Highly recommend! read more

I have always struggled with finding a good Yoga studio, I have always felt weird vibes in all the places I have gone to, so its always been tough for me to be consistent. this last year I was diagnosed with a Chronic form of Leukemia that causes lots of bone/muscle pains because of the medicine. I finally decided to go try hot yoga out at Be One because I thought it would be a good way to overcome some of those struggles and their new student pricing blew everyone out of the water, that I could find in the Kirkland area. Most places were only 2 weeks. They have the same schedule regularly and that was another appeal for me. it works well with my work schedule and I don't have to stress about major schedule changes. My experience from the very start was positive, when I signed up and was talking to the lady at the front desk she was SUPER friendly and was easy for me to talk to and walked me through everything I needed to know, including where I could find everything in their studio. The dressing rooms were really nice and well stocked with anything you might need for cleaning yourself up afterwards, literally, even a straightener and curling iron. Turned out she was the instructor for the class. I have only gone twice but I already feel excitement for going back, I had a different teacher for both classes but both of them made me feel totally welcome and actually made the environment a happy positive one. I didn't feel like I was under pressure to do anything more than I was capable of. I have slept amazing for the first time in weeks because I finally feel like I am getting all the toxins out of my body from all the awful treatments I did. I feel refreshed afterwards because the instructors were encouraging throughout the entire class. It also helps they give out the wash cloths with the lavender in it. It just is the cherry on top of the amazing class. I cant say any more good things about this place and I plan to continue to go here regularly. Even the students were very outgoing and very nice. I cant wait until I am more comfortable with myself to make it there everyday and move on from Hatha to some of the Vinyasa classes. This is the first time I have EVER been genuinely excited to make it to hot yoga. This is also one of my first reviews on Yelp, most places don't typically sway me enough to do one but I really hope if you're looking for a good place to go for Yoga in the Kirkland area you go here! read more

This review is solely based on my experience attempting to receive massage therapy. I called and booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance and explained I had xxx insurance. Verified the therapist was in network since I found her on my insurance website. Arrived early to fill out paperwork. This is when I was told the therapist would not bill my insurance because I did not have a prescription or referral. My insurance does not require either and I've had other massage therapists have no trouble billing my insurance and having it covered. She did offer to perform my massage at their 'intro' rate that was about 4 times my insurance rate. No thanks! I felt like the therapist just did not want to deal with the hassle of insurance. Minimal insincere apologies and I left feeling disappointed. Too bad because I love yoga and thought how nice this could have been to take a class there and then get a massage. That's clearly not happening. What a shame this business was unwilling to accommodate what could have been a long time local customer. read more

This place cost $99/month for unlimited yoga. That is almost $1200 a year. If you are someone like me who wants to only go once or twice a week, they recommend you get a "punch card". $140 for 10 classes or $240 for 20 classes. This is $12+ per class. At the hot yoga place I went to in Issaquah $12 got me 6 classes. Looks like a decent place, but not worth the price for me. read more

I've been to several hot yoga studios in the area and I really like this one. I signed up for a new student discount to try it out. I prefer Hatha, and am used to the 90 minute 26 pose routine so I wasn't sure how I'd like the 60 minute adaptation this one does. I really like it because it doesn't take as long, the poses are similar and not as militant but I am still sweating in the heat and feel incredible afterward. Beyond dissatisfied with my experience with Be One Yoga. If it was possible to give zero stars, that would be my rating. In fact, this terrible experience is the reason that I joined Yelp. I purchased a 5-class punch card ($90) for prenatal classes thinking it would be great to go to yoga for the next couple weeks before baby arrives (I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant). I've practiced yoga in the past and have stayed fairly active during my pregnancy so my doctor was encouraging when I mentioned that I was interested in trying prenatal yoga. I was super excited to go to my first class. Since I wasn't sure how busy it would be, I arrived 30 minutes early to be sure I got a decent spot. Upon my arrival, I was asked whether I had pre-registered online. I said "no", since I was not aware of any pre-registration requirement. At the time that I purchased my pass earlier in the week, I was told that all I needed to do was show up and print my name and phone number on the sign-in sheet at the front desk and that it was not necessary to bring my receipt or show a card or anything. In fact, the lady that sold me the pass couldn't print my receipt (which I found a bit odd - they don't have a printer?) and wasn't able to email it to me because she had entered my email address incorrectly, and didn't know how to fix it. I was told that if I wanted to, I could go online and set up a profile. I was not told that it was necessary to go online to pre-register for all classes, nor was I told that all prenatal classes for the next two weeks were fully booked and already had waitlists. As you can imagine, at 35 weeks pregnant, I probably only have two to three more weeks in which I'll be able to do yoga before the baby arrives, so a 5-class punch card would only really be effective if I went to every class (since classes are only offered twice a week) for the next five classes. This was fine with me and I was happy to commit as I started my maternity leave early. Such a pass would be totally useless to me if I had known that classes were fully booked for the next two weeks (taking me to 37 weeks, e.g., full term). After waiting 15 minutes to speak to the owner and explaining the situation again, I was again told about the "no refund policy" which is apparently posted on their website (note - I just checked the website and can't find any mention of this policy) and all of their print material (note - the no refund policy is not mentioned on the only two forms that were given to me at the time of purchase). I said that had I known pre-registration was required and that all of the spots were taken (and that there was a waitlist for each class), I would not have wasted $90 on a pass that was of no use to me. In fact, it's super misleading to sell something to someone when you know they're not actually going to be able to use it (the lady that sold me the pass knew how far along I was). AS YOU CAN TELL, I'M NOT IMPRESSED. I strongly discourage you from using this yoga studio. Update in response to Be One Yoga response: your response is appreciated, but in my view, inadequate. Accepting responsibility for your staff's miscommunication would mean making an exception to your no refund policy (as owner, you have the authority to do so) and returning my $90. Allowing me to attend the class on Saturday does not solve the problem - what about the other 4 classes I paid for? Bumping other pregnant ladies out of their waitlist spots is a totally inappropriate thing to do in my view. It seems like a really shady business practice. Those women got their names on the waitlist before me so why should I get their spot (also, how do I know I'm not going to get bumped out of my waitlist spot if this is your approach?)? A better solution would be to offer enough prenatal classes to meet the demand of your paying clientele. Lastly, in-store credit sounds like my only alternative, which I think is completely unreasonable. If you went to the grocery store to buy ground beef and, after paying, the grocer told you "sorry, we're all out of ground beef and won't have any in stock for two weeks, and there's a no refund policy. Here, have some apples!", would you be satisfied??? Probably not because a bag of apples is going to be totally useless when you go to make spaghetti sauce. That's exactly how I feel about your in-store credit solution. I don't need another yoga mat or overpriced water bottle or yoga pants. I need the prenatal yoga classes I paid for, in good faith, but will not be provided by your yoga studio. That is why I am completely dissatisfied with your studio. read more

I am writing to review the massage therapist at Be One Yoga, Colleen. She is AMAZING. Best massage I've ever had.

So, I have tried every yoga studio on the Eastside and many in Seattle. I was really excited for Be One Yoga to open as it's super close to my house. PROS: Super clean Large locker rooms w/showers - nice amenities (hair dryer, etc.) Instructors are very welcoming and friendly Heat is awesome and the room never gets stinky ( a challenge) CONS: Most of the instructors play music in their classes which is great but sometimes it's hard to hear the music with the noise of the heaters - like a bad white noise mix. Turn up the music and let us enjoy it. Some folks might not like music which is cool -- a former amazing studio I attended just put a small musical note next to the classes on the schedule where the instructor played music. I hope that eventually at least some classes or workshops will offer information/teachings/readings about the other 7 limbs of yoga that are beyond asana. Overall, a great addition to the community. read more

This is very mixed-style place. They have hot yoga classes, but their best vinyasa class is warm instead of hot, the heat is dry and very uneven through the room. Their Hatha class is not Bikram and kind of low intensity. The studio is painted in a dark brown color and the lights are not good in general. Very good changing room and showers. Good instructors. But the worth of all are yogis' culture: people are chatting loudly before the class and behave like in a waterhole social place in the studio. Hard to concentrate. read more

You get a good variety of teaching styles, the teachers are always pleasant, good class times to coordinate with your schedule. They also give you a lavender scented wet washcloth after your practice which is incredibly relaxing to have rest on your face after practicing. They have asked to come back but I haven't been able to take them because of the timing. I wish they had more kids classes but there might not be enough demand in this area.
