Frustrating- esp bc I offered to pay for what we got yesterday- just give me what I ordered... but that wasn't an option. We had planned to order egg sandwiches today- so - dumb us did that... My wife is more of an avid reader than I am so she enjoyed the book aspect more. They have a large menu of offerings drink wise with everything you'd expect from a coffee shop. I do wish they did a rotating seasonal special drink menu, as places usually have one or more great sounding drinks on those. Both my wife and I settled on an iced blueberry latte. Overall it had hints of blueberry and tasted more like milk than anything. Would not be rushing back for it specifically that's for sure. Food wise they have some in-house baked goods as well as bagels from Rose Foods and corssiants from Little Spruce Baking. My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese while I grabbed a chocolate croissant. I did mess up by not requesting it be warmed up but it was still delicious! Will be finding more spots that have goodies from Little Spruce. The bagel was also tasty. Book wise my wife enjoyed browsing but did not find any books she needed to grab. She did enjoy reading a couple chapters of her current book while we sat by the large windows (good spot for world watching outside). We enjoyed our visit but have other spots we would be happier to visit again.

I honestly don't know how you screw up breakfast, but they managed to do it. The employees had a general "we don't give a sh*t" attitude and nobody seemed to be in charge. They also have a great variety of baked goods and lunch options on the menu. I got an iced coffee and it comes with coffee iced cubes (love that!). Interestingly enough, I found this place because I was looking for a yoga class close to my house. I've taken Nyiesha's Saturday morning class and it's great. I sweat enough to justify my post class baked good. I'm currently recovering from an injury, but I can't wait to get back to class.

To drink I usually go with their cold brew, which sometimes can be bitter, but with creamer it helps! The food also always comes out at a reasonable time, even when the place is packed. I love the interior and how spacious it feels. There are lots of different sitting options, ones in low chairs, circle table and hightops. My only complaint is how busy it is sometimes, it can be a little overwhelming. But besides that it's always worth the drive to scarborough for me.
