Made an appointment again but ended up not getting started on for over 45 minutes. When I walked in I was a bit grossed out by the sewage smell that never went away. I asked the head lady in charge if they had the color I showed her on my phone...she said yes. I finally get Lisa who asks why I'm getting powder and tells me UV gels better and kept asking why I don't get it instead...I said I'll look into it if it's healthy or not...she persisted...I declined repeatedly..she started laughing and talking to the technician next to her-all I could make out was uv and powder in what sounded like a complaining, condescending tone. (The first time the leading lady tried to convince me to get gel as well but in a much nicer way-so it appears they don't like doing powder and removing it) Once she's done removing my last manicure she pulls out uv gloves and tries to put them on my hands...I asked her if she was going to do UV gel anyway even though I said no....she says yes, I tell her no, she starts complaining again in her language to the technicians near her. I had to ask if she knew how to do powder as I was beginning to get worried. After 2 hours the end result was fine, but in a color other than what I asked for and I'll probably have to go get them redone. So Be warned if you do go here...make sure you get gel! (And bring a translator) *also know they do not give complimentary massages while your nails dry as most other salons in the area do, instead they have a man who asks you if you want a massage, starts and then tells you the fee. Thankfully I picked up on this from seeing him do this to others before he got to me.

Alyssa started off with my legs and worked her way up to my face. By the time I was done, I was so relaxed, I almost fell asleep on the table! So so so impressed by Sugared Beauty, I actually ended up signing up for the membership! I can't wait to come back and get another massage, and try some of their other services! The ambiance of the location is so zen, so cute, and so perfect for a relaxing massage. The location is prime, parking is easy, and they have the best bagel place and coffee place on the same block :)

The place is rather plane in style, but its clean and that is sufficient. My massages was wonderful. Neck, shoulders, arms, head, legs and feet all included in the reflexology massage. There were a few annoying things that I could do without and they could improve on (they dumped the buckets of foot bath water into the toilet, which is very close by. The sound of a gulping, slurping toilet doesn't really match the environment you want to create for a place like this. Then there was the pause in the middle of the massage to answer the ringing phone. But I understand in a place like this it is maybe too expensive for them to hire a receptionist). Though I'd been to her once 2 years before, I was still nervous however once she started massaging I relaxed and though it was painful it was so much better afterwards . She really tried to work the knot out and help because she could see I was in pain. I only wish I could get back there weekly. The place is not fancy but it's neat & clean and she's very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to her in the future.

The first time I came here the woman giving me a pedicure offered me a massage for my pedicure which I had already had on my gift card. When I went to go pay they told me I asked for another ADDITIONAL massage so I had to pay more $$. I was upset, but paid and let it go. I received an email later from the salon that they would give me a $10 coupon to come back for the miscommunication. So here I am, finally about 8 months later making my way back here to use my coupon. I ask how much for callus removal, which they say $15. Again, overpriced but I accept. The girl doing my pedicure scrubs my feet instead of using the scraper and I ask why she didn't use the scraper. She said they couldn't use it because of covid. Which would have been helpful to know PRIOR to spending the $15. This place is a rip off and I'll never come here again. The pedicure isn't great enough where it's worth $40 even. It's a normal pedicure. There is absolutely nothing special about it. Worst of all they don't care about taking advantage of people and their money. It's like they don't realize people won't come back again. Both times I've been here the place has been absolutely empty. Recommend going somewhere else. Anywhere else at that. I needed that time to allow the last haircut to grow out. I was given an appointment with Barbara who was very nice and friendly. She took the time to speak to me about what I wanted and a lot of time cutting/ styling my hair. The results were amazing, but most importantly, exactly what I wanted. Everyone at the salon is super nice and friendly and the salon itself is beautiful and clean. I am so happy to have found a new salon!
