What kind of billion dollar dealership steals money from a client? And it was less than $100. If they're willing to steal that from me what are they going to take from you? We all know car dealerships tend to be dishonest, but there's dishonest and then there's outright theft. They bought my car for me and promised to write the memory that night for whoever the new buyer was. But they didn't and then they continued to charge my car using the money that was assigned to my car. My money. I reached out to them several times and never heard back. Mind you this was after I also reached out to them to see if something had been left in the car because I was missing something and they never got back to me about that either. Someone who is rich but will steal pocket change from you is somebody you need to watch out for. That level of dishonesty is psychopathic. read more

Ok. It would have been 3 stars but two bafoons (my wife and I) with fairly embarrassing credit drove away with a nice rig, so, I gave them 4. They made it happen. The entire experience was about 4-5hrs, the ambiance is nice, nothing really to entertain the youths if you have them with you. I'd like to think that I'm a straight shooter. So this markup stunt dealers pull needs to stop. Anyway, they got me for a few extra bucks. It's ok, because if I didn't see my wife smiling when she returned from the test drive I would have left. Those ridiculous paper numbers, in this economy, should be illegal! While the transaction felt disconnected, the service folks did their best to make it all feel personal-able. I purchased a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium from Beach Cities Toyota and as part of the purchase, I was charged $1,895 for a Karr alarm system. The alarm system was never installed or activated. * The dealership's own representative confirmed this in text messages. * The dealership's manager later admitted via email that there was no pending installation or activation. * I also received written confirmation from Karr Security that no alarm system was ever installed or activated on my vehicle. Despite multiple refund requests, the dealership has refused to refund me for the product they never delivered. For comparison, I later learned that Longo Toyota charges approximately $500 for the exact same Karr alarm system. Beach Cities Toyota charged me nearly four times that amount -- for a product I never even received. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I waited a few minutes before a sales person approached and when I asked to see the Camrys told me that they didn't have any. Given I'd been waiting for some time, I'd already seen a couple on the lot and pointed to them. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Poor service and unprofessional staff. I had an appointment, but no one was available to assist upon arrival. Salesmen at front were arguing about who to assign to us, saying "no I don't want them, give them to someone else". I was lied to from the start when I got a call from Abby saying I got approved for a specific car and could 100% walk out with the car given my credit score, history, down payment etc. After running my credit score and getting approved, speeding hours at the dealership, they were not able to sell the car due to an issue that we were not warned about prior to running my credit score (I already don't have the greatest credit score). So I walked out with no car and lower credit. They were not open to negotiations and added an extra $5000 to the retail price. Caught them in lies along the way. Toyotas are great cars and I love my Grand Highlander, but don't buy from this dealership. My car was being built and transported to the dealership during my negotiations. The dealership gave no opportunity to put down a deposit like other dealers do and demanded that I come in person, which was not the easiest since I live 100 miles away. I agreed to a price with one salesman (Juan) for $70.5k only to get a call from his boss Phil Columna who said the OTD cost was $70.8k. We agreed to that price and he said he would in fact give me the ability to put down a deposit. I provided my drivers license and insurance but no link came to give the deposit. I followed up a couple of days later and Phil said the car would be there the next day and that I needed to come and sign the contract and could no longer give the deposit. When I said I would come up and asked for confirmation on the price Phil said it was now $71.54k OTD. Phil's excuse for all the price changes was that it was coming from the owner and they had people that were willing to pay more. Knowing that these cars are in demand and needing a new car I came up and signed the papers. I was planning on paying cash but to get that price they made me finance. The only spec sheet I had ever been provided was one that had black wheels for an additional $1,600. However when I arrived to sign the papers I signed for a different vehicle that in fact did not have these wheels. I was never informed that I was signing for a different vehicle. I never thought in a million years a dealership with the name Toyota would do something like that. The cherry on top was their finance department did not collect the right down payment and had to call back the next day to ask for additional cash of $5k. I never got an answer on the wheels and my car which was supposed to arrive the day after I signed the papers ended up arriving 5 days late with little answer for that either other than it was out of their control. I will say I enjoyed working with Robert and he was very helpful, but would recommend that Robert finds employment at a more reputable dealership. I love my car but best to give your business to another dealership. read more

Brought my car in for maintenance they told me they are just going to do tire rotation and check up nothing more. They said oil change would be done next visit. I took my car in at 10:30am and waited until 2pm to get it back I had to wait there for all those hours. When I asked why it was taking a while they said it because they had been on lunch. I'm just confused why they let me book an appointment during their lunch hour I would have rather them tell me so I could book it after or before. Ridiculous. read more

I would give it a 5 star rating except for the fact that someone in the service department felt the need to steal my TRD valve caps and replace them with janky plastic caps during a tire swap. There was no need to touch my valve caps. Just take my wheels off my old truck and put them on the new truck. So for the theft of my personal property, I take one star away. I bought the $1000 AUTOMATE clear coat protection that was suppose to guarantee my 2017 Tacoma paint job. AUTOMATE guarantee was only for 5 years, I thought it was longer, that is on me. However almost exactly 5 years later I noticed my paint was peeling off the roof. I went to Elmore Toyota and showed them my roof, they passed the buck to AUTOMATE. I spent $2200 to repaint the roof because AUTOMATE informed that my warranty period expired. AUTOMATE clear coat won't protect your paint. Look at the roofs of Toyotas purchased in the last 10 years or so and you will see paint coming off. Shame on Elmore for selling this AUTOMATE SCAM! This dealership is unprofessional, lacks good technicians that actually do the work. I took my Tacoma TRD pro with 10,000 miles and left it there for 3 days for a oil change, tire rotation, and a safety recall for the airbag. When I picked up my truck, it was dirty and dusted. They didn't even bother giving a complimentary wash, the tires were not rotated as the lug nut key was still in its new factory bag inside the glovebox of my truck and when I inspected the tread of the front and rear tires, the front ones had less tread just how I brought it in. Based on this evidence how can I trust that the oil was even changed. Lastly, I called the finance department on Friday and requested the bill of sale for insurance purposes. They're response was first that they cannot email that for some stupid reason, they didn't even bother taking my personal info or the vehicles. Then when I proceeded to let them know that I was heading to the dealership if that's the only way I can get that file/document, they claimed that the finance department closes on Friday's between 12:00-1:00pm. Mind you this was approximately 12:30ish, I just wonder how someone would buy a car if they come in after 1:00pm and need the finance department to complete the sale. This was just a waste of time and hopefully who ever reads this will consider another option instead. Also this is no longer Elmore Toyota but now it is called Beach Cities Toyota. read more
