3 stars Short story version: Got my 2026 RAV4 and am happy with it. Long story version** (includes some issues I feel I should mention): Purchased from Toyota Place primarily because they had one still available to prepurchase, (& hesitantly due the lack of stellar reviews on here) Worked with one of the internet sales rep, Mark. He was available when I arrived, not pushy and easy to talk to... the negotiating was primarily done with the sales manager though. So it was kind of working with multiple people. There were definitely good and bad overall experiences here. 1st flag was the dealership add ons. It was $$$. Of course you can negotiate some down, but BE PREPARED. It's something that's normal around here but outrageous at the same time. 2nd flag: Over the period of my initial visit then picking up the car out the door-- my credit was run THREE times! 2x during the deposit/initial loan application which Jip (finance) discussed. But, Then again when I picked up the car. The last time, I couldn't believe it. 3rd flag: Got a rejection of loan letter mailed to me due to incomplete information. No heads up. And trying to get help over the phone was frustrating. It ended up just being the vin# BUT had to go through hoops to try and get help over the phone. It was like if they weren't your original contacts, you weren't getting help. (I think you know you are. Mr P) 4th thing. When my car finally arrived, it was missing a couple accessories I originally signed off for. I was missing the crossbars (and mud-flaps which I didn't even think to look for). I felt like something was off. No one wanted to bring up the original listing or sales info to double check. They just said it doesn't exist anymore. Mark did make sure I got my missing bars.. but not from verifying more like "if you believe you were suppose to get them ". And Jip even mentioned the sticker price was close to $1k off. So they wrote a receipt for a $750 roof rack. Keep in mind roof racks are more expensive than crossbars so I thought maybe they are making up the difference in value. Naaah I got crossbars. $750 crossbars apparently (which doesn't exist). Although it's what I initially thought I was getting...The way they wrote up $750 of value on a $350 part didn't settle well with me. At the end of the day I got my car, with the original accessory I signed for (minus mudflaps). But buyer beware. Keep track of your original order especially if you're prepurchasing. I'll give a benefit of a doubt they aren't tracking everything to the T but either this is a huge Quality Assurance issue or someone is trying to take some revenue by leaving accessories off. Again. I love my car so far. And the purchasing was otherwise somewhat ok. read more

I wont buy another vehicle here... bad service experience Mechanic left screen stuck on am radio and I couldn't get it to switch back after about a half hour of attempting to myself with guides and ai. I called back and was told it was too complex to do over the phone and had to drive back. Situation was remedied and I was told the issue was the service team member didn't know the proper way to reset some things and the way he had been doing it caused the issue because he wasnt aware he could reset the car through the head unit (I know this from just reading the manual) if the tech fixing my car isnt aware of that and I am, and im not a mechanic should i trust my car with them? read more

Instead, Kate dismissed the concern and told me those lights "go on all the time" and that it was probably just a sensor and that would cost me an extra $200 just to check it out. No one took the time to properly check my tires. Turns out there was actually a nail in my front right tire, something that should have been caught with even a quick inspection. It was frustrating to feel brushed off, especially for a safety-related issue. I expected a lot more care and attention from a Toyota service department. This experience came across as dismissive and careless, and I wouldn't trust them to thoroughly check a vehicle based on this visit. read more

Sleazy place to get car repairs. I forgot to leave a review, but I came here to get my Camry tire rim replaced a few years ago. I was first quoted $1,000, then later after a few hours they called me back, saying that there was a built in tire pressure sensor that would cost an additional $1,000 to replace as it was attached to the rim. I was a college student at the time and didn't really know how to get about these situations especially as the car was already in their shop and had no idea of the fair market/labor value until in retrospect. Highly recommend finding a different dealership that doesn't try to rip customers off as drastically as I was here. read more

I bought a $20,000 dollar vehicle from here, not only were the workers garbage but they sold me a trash vehicle. You find out the vehicle is treated poorly after you drive it more miles than the test drive but they also don't inform you of what is originally wrong with the vehicle. They made me wait 5 hours just because they wanted me to purchase this with credit, but I had the cash to outright buy it, not against the law to do. They delayed it annoyingly and I was about to leave, then suddenly the stupid person became available to take my money. This guy suddenly didn't care about the finances and sold it to me, but it wasn't a Toyota, this was a Chevy Blazer he sold me, and he didn't sell it directly to me because some lady inside the place behind a computer sold it to me. This is how the dealership screws you, they pretend they want to sell you a vehicle and end up playing stupid like they're selling it as a bargain. The only reason this vehicle is driveability is when you put the most premium gas in it, you can't drive it with the cheap stuff. You step on the gas or break, it's not reliable. I looked at the windshield, looked under the hood just the other day and found out these crooks didn't replace my windshield fluid cover, when it gave me a warning that it was low. Knew something was wrong, but I thought something so insignificant as washer fluid wasn't a big deal. Then you look up on the Internet and find out the rear view mirror was replaced, then you find out the windshield must have been replaced, you basically find out the vehicle was treated poorly by it's owner and the dealership dumped it off on you. They do minor repairs (to make it look like nothing is wrong) and when you actually look under the hood and find all these issues, this place is garbage. Not only that, the previous owner had a dog (multiple different dog hairs), and that's the reason why the backdoor doesn't open all the way. He must have closed it on his dog. If I'm allergic, why doesn't the dealership inform me that the previous owner had a dog in his vehicle? Why didn't they properly clean the vehicle? Just don't trust this place, they knew what they sold me. They knew exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and handed me some Carfax junk that had no information what the previous owner dealt with. They knew exactly what was wrong with this vehicle, and they didn't inform me. I found out after watching videos on YouTube that the rear view mirror was replaced, because dealerships don't inform anyone something was wrong with the vehicle they bought. Not only that, they also made me contact "On Star" (and Sirius) and my local police department because they were too stupid to replace my license plates. So that was another $50 and another $280 I had to pay. Don't trust this dealership. read more

Today was going to be the last time I ever came to this dealership for service--because of how bad the experience was when Randy Doan was not here. Ironically, the only reason I ever got to meet Randy was because of that terrible service experience. I left a review, and Randy personally reached out to me. That call completely changed my perception of this service department. Randy Doan is an exceptional asset to this dealership, and he is the only reason I drive nearly 40 miles to have my car serviced here when there are at least four or five Toyota dealerships much closer to me. Unlike another manager I dealt with during Randy's absence, Andy actually listens. He does not dismiss concerns, minimize issues, or deflect responsibility--he addresses problems head-on and follows through. The other manager Andy was, quite frankly, absolutely useless. When I heard Randy was back from his leave today, I was genuinely elated. While he was out, I needed basic information from the service manager for an insurance claim after another car hit me. What should have been a simple request turned into an exhausting, frustrating ordeal--it was like pulling teeth. Randy's professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability stand in stark contrast to how poorly the service department was managed without him. I truly hope this dealership understands what a gem he is, because I am certain I am not the only customer who continues servicing their vehicle here solely because of him. If Randy had not returned, I would never come back. The only reason this dealership receives five stars from me is because of Randy Doan., WITHOUT RANDY HERE ZERO STAR IS TOO MANY FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT'S MANAGEMENT. Ordered 4 new tires and set appointment online 04/11/26 appt., for 04/18/26. Had to reschedule for 04/25/26 and at drop-off, was informed the tires are only kept for three days and then returned. The Service Advisor went above and beyond to acquire the tires to ensure excellence in customer service. The disappointment came from the tire service department sending out 4 new tires covered in white grease and scuff marks/scratches on rims and tires. For 50yrs buying tires no shop has ever been so disrespectful to a customer, not even when buying used tires, still given better customer service. read more

Came here interested in a used Prius Prime on there lot. Coming out of my car, I was greeted by salesman named Chi. I asked about a car that was in stock online and that I was gonna utilize a RYR voucher. Chi proceeds to spitball and just say "oh we already sold that, we only have these. You can only pick these" without checking anything. I pull up the website and show him stock, and then he proceeds to walk me inside and actually find the cars location... Cool no issues there for me, dealerships have cars placed everywhere, its understandable. However, as soon as we sit down, this is when his energy flips a switch. I ask if prices are flexible and negotiable. And dude begins getting pushy out of nowhere, saying he needs to run my credit, get all my information, scan my ID, scan my voucher, etc... I told him I can give him proof of funds, my preapproval, voucher, and whatever he needs, but I dont want to run my credit nor make copies JUST TO SEE A CAR first (NOT EVEN TEST DRIVE). Can he atleast show me the car first, so I can see it... ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS GOT A MINOR ACCIDENT ON ITS RECORD. How you gonna skip all the steps, and JUMP STRAIGHT to running my credit. We didn't discuss any numbers, you haven't even shown me the car, and have been pushy from second I stepped on your lot. If Chi were busy with other buyers and felt like I was wasting his time off based off his judgement of me, okay sure. But you were outside hanging around on your phone at 11am with no one in sight. Showing a car as a CAR SALESMAN, isn't a crazy ask. I told him I have personally never seen this before even AT OTHER RYR dealerships, such as Carmax or Claremont Toyota. I guess he has a personal vendetta against CarMax because he instantly starts, saying "go there then, GO TO CARMAX" and gets even more disrespectful. ... Say less sir, have a good day. You're unprofessional, emotional, and are the reason car salesman get a bad wrap. If you can't do something thats unreasonable or meet at a number, I completely understand. But don't start acting up and being disrespectful to your perspective buyers, when things don't go your way. Especially when none came your way to begin with. Not only that, but you chase me down as I'm leaving, to try and tell me a plethora of nonsense. How the car price is negotiable but I gotta pay your $4,000 dealer mark up fees (which you stated as conviently being installed right now as we speak), how the dealership doesn't honor the PHEV sales tax exemption even tho its a LEGAL BILL(Senate Bill 1382), how I have to finance with you guys and not the preapproved lender I have in hand, or how you knew what you were doing and flaunting your number of RYR sales. Don't act disrespectful and then try to pull the "I have a son your age" card as I'm walking out, or the "we're Vietnamese" card. Being located in a dense Vietnamese population, maybe this sales strategy of being shady, pushy, and acting like a know it all works for you, with other less knowledgable buyers in the community, but don't begin getting all emotionally winded up and disrespectful when buyers come prepared, especially in this internet age. If your a RYR candidate/buyer, just go to a different dealership on the list or Carmax. Because from my experience, as soon as you bring it up they'll begin to look down on you, and try to bully you into every trap(credit check) and mark up set in place, to take a cut. As a dealership, if you can't handle the nuances or delays with the RYR program, then why even sign up to be a dealership that does support it. Its a weak and copout excuse for these dealership to constantly use the RYR payment timeline as a reason to strong arm and mistreat the buyers using it. *Attached* The Prius of interest that I never go to see, that was also convienently getting $4,000 worth of dealer added accessories, that I would have to pay due to being a RYR user... Today, I just got the unprofessional behavior from the line support (714-895-5595) at 11:22 AM. I received the miss call from them for the pick up my car. When I called back to ask for information, the woman who answered the call was not helpful and had a bad attitude. During the call discussion for the support, the attitude from the supporter is really bad. At the same time, I received the other call from the dealership to let me my car to be ready for pickup. I said to thank you to the woman for the support. But no one spoke and then I heard the call suddenly get disconnected. This is not level of customer service I expect from a big dealership like Toyota. Hopefully management team can improve the customer service. read more

We've been searching for one particular new Toyota vehicle. The dealership had one coming in and the price seemed right. Yet, they wouldn't go over the finer details over the phone, we had to come in and talk to them directly. Once at the dealership we talked to a young salesman who brought over the closer within the first ten minutes. The closer used to live in my neighborhood. What a small world, right? BTW, the last 3 time share salesmen we met also lived in my neighborhood as well. So, the first warning sign was that three other people also came in the same weekend to see the car and nobody bought it. Why would a sought after car be so hard to sell? There were four add ons that you had to buy to get the car. Well, they would get rid of 3 of them. The add ons were low quality, sold at premium prices. The closer at one point just said "Okay, I can just get rid of everything and charge a $5000 premium." This would have been an entry for me, I could have started with this and worked him down to a point where I would have felt like it was a good deal. But, just before I was about to jump on this, a voice in my head said it's time to walk. There is no point in entering into good faith negotiations when it was clear that they weren't dealing in good faith. The young salesman mentioned "earning your business" as part of a sales pitch, which in reality is an empty platitude. They were using 1960's used car salesmen techniques while believing that some other sucker will walk in and put money down on the vehicle, eventually. How exactly was this earning our business? As it turns out, the car buying experience is a two way street. When I compared ToyotaPlace with other dealerships they offered fewer add ons with lower prices. Sure, these cars take longer to get. We can wait. I don't blame the salesman as much as I do the dealership general manager and owners. They opted for a circus environment. This is a different era, the bad press catches up eventually. read more

Bought a new 4Runner here in 2018, even bought the additional service to 45K miles, well they did oil changes but at the 30K and 45K mark, they only did visual inspections.. per the manuel they were suppose to lube the propeller shaft as well as change the oil in rear differential.. I spoke to the service lady and she said only the visual was done.. that's BS, how do they know the state of the fluid by looking outside.. that's like looking at a gallon of milk and saying Milk is fine.. where the milk is rotton.. Also in one of the routine oil changes, they used a torque wrench on my oil drain plug stripping it out and had to replace the drain pan.. read more

At first the process of buying a car for my mom went well. After the purchase he said your car is being cleaned and gassed up. He said it would take about 5 minutes. As we were approaching the car he handed us one key. I asked where the other one was and he said we sell you the car the same way we purchased it and when we purchased it only came with one key. I asked why did you not disclose this in the beginning? He simply kept saying that it was the policy. I also noticed that the gas had not been filled up like it was promised and then the sales person said oh o forgot it's only for new cars and it was a mistake. I said understand, but you said it was going to get filled up. He said sorry it was a mistake.I then went to the manager and he said their was nothing he could do about it and blamed it his own sales person saying that the new sales representatives makes mistakes. I asked is that an acceptable explanation? He did not answer me and I left livid. This was probably the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a car and then the manager and staff were just awful. I will never be coming back. read more

I was driving a corolla and back in 2004 to 2006 I was working in santa monica so it was a long drive, but I took good care of my car. I got regular maintenance. But everytime they would charge me $1000 to fix some bullshit scary talk. Back then that was a lot of money and now it still is. I was a new driver and a girl so I trusted them. I was so naive.
