Staying at this resort was everything we loved! We didn't tho down to the restaurant or had time for the pool but everything looked so nice! Great access to the beach. Elevator was very slow as the one elevator is being worked on. Stayed on floor 3 and was right above the place that host parties so we can hear music up to 9-10pm which for us it's ok . Will definitely stay here again.

Where do I start. The owners that own these rooms need to be checked and rooms need to be updated. We stayed here for our family vacation and let me tell you it was the worst day ever to see what kind of room we got. What we booked was not the room we saw it's embarrassing to see what they put people in these rooms that have mold animal toys clogged toilet leaking sink refrigerator not cold washer not working ripped carpet and mold smell coming from AC unit . We walked out and went to other hotel only to be told everything is booked. I complained to desk only to be told we are sold out no more rooms but speak to manager tomorrow. I have to say the owners should be ashamed they rent rooms like this to people. I do have to say thank you to Marvis , Melissa , Mariana and ladejah for helping us and being very accommodating and getting us another room that was clean smelled good and was just like wow these owners like to take care of their place . Totally opposite of how the other rooms were. Thank you for making the vac right but the headache we had knowing what room we had at first was very upsetting. Owners need to be held accountable for not keeping the rooms up to par and safe for people to sleep in . Mold is a big issue and you can get very sick . All the beds and roll out couch should have a plastic covering over them so they can be cleaned the proper way. Would not stay here again after this room and a lot of people were complaining of the rooms they had . It's not the hotel it's the owners of these rooms that need to clean up the rooms.

The elevators working would be really nice!! Waited 45 minutes to get on the elevator and finally gave up. Carried our luggage down the stairs from the 7th floor

The positives: - Nice Pool area and proximity to beach. The lazy river is being renovated so that was closed. - You are a short walk to the beach! You can rent 2 beach chairs and umbrella for $45/day - There is security walking around often. - Close to many restaurants and activities. The Negatives: - The rooms were dirty, outdated and falling apart. - There is no maid service, so getting extra towels toilet paper, etc was not reliable or timely. - There seemed to be no one working inside as it was hard to get service In the restaurant and often long waits for help at the front desk or with the arcade. The staff complained to me that they had no manager on the weekends. If you will not be in your room much it's an okay place to sleep. And spend your time outside ....

We really enjoyed our time at this resort. We rented a ocean front condo for The 4th and it honestly looked better than the pictures shows. It was family oriented and had something for everyone to enjoy. From Restaurants cocktails pools game rooms etc. We walked from the resort right onto the beach and didn't have to leave the property unless we wanted to. The rooms were a little pricy however I would still recommend and return.

Clean pools, beautiful views and a nice rental unit! Our family had a great time and would stay here again. The location was close to many great dining and shopping options too.

We stayed for five nights and four days at Beach Cove Resort. My initial impression wasn't great. When we arrived, there was no one at the counter to talk to. But we didn't need to check in really, because we had the door code. There weren't any carts available to haul our heavy luggage up to our room with. When we pressed the elevator button, the wait was long to get an elevator. And then the elevator door wouldn't close. When we arrived at our room, the beds weren't made, there were items in the refrigerator, and the garbage cans were overflowing with trash. Our room wasn't ready, so we called the owner and they sent a cleaning crew. We left to buy some groceries while the cleaning crew tidied up the place. The beds were warm and there was cable TV and excellent Wi-Fi. The restaurant/arcade was closed at night. The pools were also closed at night and gates get locked, so you can't get to the beach at night either. If you're looking for something to do between 10 p.m. - midnight, you might as well just go to bed, drive somewhere else, watch TV, or just hang out on your small balcony. The view of the beach is beautiful. There are many pools, a floating river, and two hot tubs. Unfortunately, there was something floating in one of the pools that looked like puke. It floated there most of the day and people just swam around it or splashed water at it. I didn't get into that pool after I saw that. We mostly swam in the ocean, which had nice waves for body boarding. The place was quiet enough so there were no disturbances while sleeping, except the fireworks outside because it was the 4th of July week. We saw police ticket people on the beach for illegally launching fireworks. We enjoyed the fireworks though. The air conditioner in our unit on the 5th floor worked wonderfully. But the unit, and our entire building, frankly, was in need of maintenance. It was dirty and a lot of things were broken or malfunctioning. Most, if not all, of the units in the building were occupied. This place should be making a killing, so maintenance shouldn't be an issue, but it is. There were cracks in the cement support beams above the main door. There is a five-story parking garage that is open to the public. It doesn't require any card or code to get in. There is a bridge on the third floor connecting the parking garage to the building. Overall, I will not stay here again. We paid a lot of money for the time that we stayed, but we felt it wasn't worth it. We'll do a little more shopping around and read more reviews the next time we stay in Myrtle Beach.

Clean room. But, lacks the on site food amenities. Breakfast buffet is over priced, why no short order? No coffee bar deal either. Grab N Go really isn't. Bar never properly staffed etc. if you want a meal, you really have to go off property all of the time. Staff is friendly, but, after this stay wraps up, this is a one and done deal. Has potential, but, yeah... they fall short outside of the clean room and friendly staff . Sigh.

    Blood on sheets

Overpriced! 20 dollars to park? Are you kidding me!!! The room was dirty with sand on the floors and we didn't go on the beach. Mold and slime that fell in the bathtub! Blood stains on one of the bedsheets! Our last time staying at this overpriced place!

Ask the Community - Beach Cove Resort

Will Parking be an additional charge? (we are considering a 7 night stay, Saturday to Saturday). And how about amenity fees (Resort Fees) or fees for beach tags? Thank you!

We booked through VRBO & there were no additional fees at all. No charge for parking. If you're going through the resort, that might be different.

Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay!

Resort amenities are abundant and include direct beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, (small) lazy rivers, a fitness center, an arcade, and a fire pit. We made a relatively late reservation here for five nights when we learned that international guests would be visiting. There would be seven guests (all adults) for two nights, and only four of us for the other three nights. We used extra timeshare points (making it more expensive) in order to get a unit on an upper floor, hoping that the upper floor would give us the best ocean view. Unit. (3/5). Our unit in Tower 2 was spacious (especially when there were only 4 of us), and had everything that we needed and was clean. We especially appreciated the fully-stocked full kitchen with generous pantry space, having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the jacuzzi in the main bedroom (which we under-utilized!). The beds were comfortable, and had high quality linens. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the unit as our ocean view was limited (although you could see the ocean, beach, and one of the pools from our balcony). And, as the resort was built in 2002, and last renovated in 2011, it's now beginning to show its age -- with sofas and chairs that were no longer firm, some chips on furniture, and the musty smell that comes with high humidity. Amenities and Activities. (3.5/4). Tower 2 was convenient, and had many amenities that we utilized. It was home to the Lobby and Registration, had direct beach access, a lazy river, access to indoor and outdoor pools, game room/arcade, activities center, gift shop, and fire pit. As with our room, some of the amenities need upgrades. For instance, the hot tub was lukewarm at best, and the markings on the shuffleboard had eroded off. The resort also had a full calendar of "Resort Experiences", which included arts and crafts, shows, fitness classes, and more. HOWEVER, we were three days in before we even learned that there were resort activities, as we weren't given a schedule at check-in. For instance, we would've gone to the Sunday evening "Karaoke Welcome Party" at the fire pit, but we weren't aware. We DID enjoy the "Hula Fire Show" a few nights later. A few other random points. (1) Parking could be challenging if it's important to you to have parking close to your unit. If not, there's plentiful parking (and a free shuttle, which we didn't utilize) behind Tower 4. We were able to get parking in Tower 2 most evenings, except one evening when we got back late. (2) we were surprised that the concierge did have discount tickets to the shows in Myrtle Beach that we wanted to attend. (3) we would stay here again, but probably wouldn't pay extra again for a higher floor.

The weather was nice, although the water was a bit cold, but the view from the ocean-view villas was spectacular and truly beautiful. One thing I really liked was the on-site kitchen! It's a huge money-saver, especially for families. Even making one meal a day at home helps offset travel costs, and it was convenient to have that option. The hot tubs were a lifesaver since it was so cold outside, and they offered fun classes like s'mores for kids and aqua exercise classes, which added some extra entertainment. The gym was well-equipped, and the service overall was great. However, on our last day, the housekeeper knocked and entered immediately without giving us a moment to respond, that felt a bit unprofessional. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and modern, with an incredible view of the beach and a well-stocked kitchen with practically everything you could possibly need including a blender, toaster, coffee maker, and ice maker in the freezer. It also included all of the pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and utensils you could use, which was great for us since we cooked multiple meals during our stay. An unexpected but wonderful surprise was the paperback novels in the drawer, which I enjoyed reading on the 2 beautiful balconies. There was seating and sleeping for up to 10 people and the space felt light and airy with colorful seaside decor. The beds were comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was almost a luxury. The pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers were all great and the location couldn't be beat - only a mile away from shopping and less than 5 miles away from any type of cuisine you could imagine to eat when dining out. Now the not so good - the breakfast buffet does not have very many options and is grossly overpriced for what it offers. Yes, there is an omelet / waffle station, but it was very difficult to get the attention of the person doing the cooking and he seemed irritated when asked to actually make something. The maintenance person called us to tell us that the master shower had an issue with a broken handheld shower hose, which he would fix while we were here, but we didn't see him after that during our 5 day stay because the part had to be ordered and it was a holiday weekend. The kitchen is well stocked with everything except cleaning supplies and there is no housekeeping, so we had to buy our own dishwashing liquid to do dishes, paper towels, and scrubbies to be able to hand wash dishes. They only provided a single kitchen trash bag and a single dishwasher pod as well as one kitchen washrage and one kitchen towel. When we called down to the front desk to have someone bring us more, it took 2 phone calls before someone came and dropped them off. All in all, the stay was relaxing and wonderful with only minor inconveniences. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on the beach with all of the comforts of home. The owners of this condo are to be commended on how well they decorated and stocked it.
