This place was amazing!!! We had it every day on vacation -- just steps form out hotel and the beach. Cute ambiance!! They could def use more employees on busy mornings, but we were in no rush! The coffee was amazing, good prices, and OMG the apple turnovers were amazing!! We asked for them again before we left after a week -- but the never showed up again. If you see them -- get one!!! Crossaint was a little dry and flaky -- but good. Coffee cake was a pit "mushy" for me (more like a butter cake) but tasted great. Overall - we will be back next week for sure. My only complaint is there on our 5th day, we realized they had a punchcard. Would be great to offer as we have been every day with 3-4 people each day. We will remember for next year. read more

The iced americano was good but the plain croissant I bought was hard and not very edible (I threw more than half of it away because I couldn't eat it). If I'd still been in the area, I'd have taken it back but I had already left the shop. The staff were polite, there was lots of available seating including at the counter looking out on the street, and service was fast. Weekend fun on the Oregon coast... what could be better, right? Well coming to this coffee shop was a bad choice. Not only were our cups over 50% of nothing but foam but the bagel I had really didn't act like a bagel, no chew, more like eating a roll. The hubby had the coffee cake and said it was good. Beach Day Coffee was a super cute little beach themed cafe! I love it so much. Food: This place is also a small bakery, besides serving coffees, Italian sodas, smoothies, and the like. I ordered a white mocha with oat milk and it came up to about $7.50ish. The coffee was super good though and I would definitely get this again! The service: The staff were kind and service was super fast, I got my coffee within five minutes of ordering. The environment: It's kind of beach/rustic themed and it's a super cute, all lit up place. Small, but has room for tables and chairs without feeling too crowded. Unfortunately, I was not happy with my purchase and most of it went in the trash. Their 'bagels' are NOT bagels. Not even by a longshot. They are like wonderbread and don't even toast well. Absolute mush. Had a few bites and threw it out. Speaking of toasting... their toaster only toasted the bottom third of my so called bagel after 4 cycles on level 9. I bought a chai latte, forgetting that it's not actually a coffee. Basically got 12oz lightly seasoned half and half. This could be my fault... but it seemed awfully milk heavy to me. The coffee cake is amazing. Macrons are so crispy and chewy. Loved all the flavors. Not sure if they make them there but they are worth $2. All our servers have been very sweet. Between my husband and I, we came into this business twice in the last week and had a terrible experience both times. The first day he came, he just so happened to witness an employee come out of the back of the building hysterically crying. Told me I t was disheartening to see, but I gave the benefit of the doubt -- things happen. I ordered basic menu items, and while they were okay. When he asked if it was fresh, he was assured by the employee that it was. Unfortunately, it was very clearly not. The bread was dry and stale, and based on the texture alone, it had to be at least three days old. I decided to give the place another try the following day, but it somehow got worse. There were only two employees working -- a young girl and a man. Within minutes, it became very clear why that poor girl was so upset the day before. The man spent the entire time being rude and condescending, not just to customers, but openly toward his coworker as well. They were gossiping loudly behind the counter, mentioning another coworker's name several times in a completely unprofessional way. Not once during either visit did we feel welcomed or valued as a customer. Between the questionable food quality, the inappropriate and uncomfortable atmosphere, and the general lack of professionalism, I won't be returning -- and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to others either. There are too many businesses out there that value both their customers and their staff to waste time or money here. read more

I stopped by Beach Day Coffee after running the Hood to Coast Relay Race. They were understandably swamped but did a great job making my drink efficiently and well. I got a blended matcha. It was refreshing and sweet. It was a bit weak on the matcha flavor. The cafe is small but looks good. 3 stars is for the drink and my overall experience warranted 4 stars. I'd love to come back and try a pastry from them. They had some good looking ones. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stop here to get a good beverage. read more

I came in asking for a hazelnut latte with extra cream--something I've ordered dozens of times at cafés across the country. The barista chose to launch into a lecture about what a latte is, then ignored my clarified request for extra milk and handed me a breve instead. No explanation. No double-check. Just a smug substitution wrapped in condescension. Coffee shops are supposed to be welcoming. If your staff wants to gatekeep drinks and correct customers instead of just listening, you're not running a café--you're running a stage for someone's inferiority complex. Won't be back. read more

The staff: a grown older man and the two female younger baristas were all extremely unwelcoming and off-putting. They gave off the vibe that all of the customers were a total pain in the ass. It put such a damper on our first vacation morning. For that reason alone I would never ever go back and feel bad for all the costumers that hope for a nice happy welcoming experience and then get exactly what we got. On a different topic, I drink espresso on ice every day and the espresso from here is so absolutely disgusting that I couldn't even get through more than a few sips. If I don't care for a coffee usually I can just get through it (at least to get the caffeine hit), especially since I just blew $7 or so, but not this one - no way. There's 3 signs on the door that says they're supposed to be open. 1 is a neon light sign on saying "open", and then a sign that says "be back at 8 am" and then also their hours of operation are posted saying they're open at 8 am Monday-Friday. We are staying at Shilo Inn, and the room coffee isn't very good. So we went across the street and got coffee yesterday and today. The owners behind the counter make me wish we lived here and could visit every day. Today, we got a cinnamon roll and strawberry/blueberry scone and two large coffees.
