    Random hole with tin foil

Honest review: Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is centrally located which is really nice. We had the queen bedroom with a view, room 504. The view was really nice, but it was also right next to the road so it can get pretty noisy when you're trying to sleep. When we checked in, the lady who helped us wasn't rude but she wasn't warm and friendly either. I was kind of put off, but the room made up for it though. It was really nice and had plenty of room, the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows and towels. It was clean and they had a microwave and a mini fridge, coffeemaker, and hair dryer. However, the room had a strange smell to it. Maybe it's just old? We had to leave a window cracked open to air it out. There were random holes that were stuffed with tin foil. The doors get loud when other guests slam their doors. Parking is small but we never had issues with parking. This place is close to the skunk train and is walking distance to glass beach so that is a HUGE plus! And last, this inn is right across a cemetery (you can check it on maps), if I had known I probably wouldn't have booked it, but if that doesn't bother you then you'll like staying here.

Work sends us to Mendocino County a few times a year, so this review is long overdue. This was the only available hotel when we stayed last spring, and we're so glad it was this place. Our corner room faced Pudding Creek and the bridge. We kept the window open to enjoy the cool, refreshing breeze. Our room was clean and cost less than expected in this area. We loved the balcony and all of the birds flying around. It's so peaceful and gorgeous here. Would love to return when there's no work involved, just relaxing and soaking in the scenery.

Their sister motel is right down the road that is 24/7 so if you're ever too late for check in they have your stuff seriously 30 seconds down the road waiting!! The room smelt really really good and had such a beautiful view, we will definitely be visiting here again. Idk how they feel about the cats being fed that roam around the inn but we fed them treats and watched the sunrise with the kitties:)

The room smelled like burnt crayons and my best efforts to air it out failed. I could overlook the aged design, but dang, the burnt crayon odor was terrible! The customer service also left something to be desired.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff! Nice soaking tub

Even though the description on Booking.com says they provide breakfast and they don't, I still give it a 5* The location is perfect, it's freshly painted and so clean. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The location is great- quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back!

The location is amazing with incredible views of the ocean. Whether you get a hotel room with a view or not, you are steps away from the ocean. You can soak in the views, walk along the rugged coastline, or walk down to the beach. If you walk or ride a bike a little over a mile to Otsuchi Point (a little past Glass Beach) you will have panoramic views that are breathtaking near sunset. I loved the large jacuzzi tub, sitting out on our private balcony and watching the waves and sunset, and it was very convenient to walk our dog along the old railroad path, which is flat and paved. There is a decent size fridge in the room and a microwave, which is nice. I got a good nights rest. The only downside I would say is that there is no breakfast due to Covid. There is also some street noise since it's near the road. All in all, it's a great hotel due to the location, ocean views, jacuzzi tub in some of the rooms, private balconies in some of the rooms, and that it's pet friendly. We will definitely be back!

We thought it was a saw, sounded like someone was doing renovations above our room. No 'continental' breakfast, just coffee pods and tea bags. Agree with Doreen B - rooms are shabby. Don't expect daily room service as that must now be a thing of the past. Rates don't reflect the lack of services or condition of the property. Location is fine. Not far out of town. Does have access to the beach - with a walk through a field and then a hike down a cliff. So if your up for that? There is a paved walk/bike path that runs behind the property and is heavily used. Don't expect privacy on your little deck - if you are lucky to face the ocean. Parking is slim, but there is a public parking lot right next door that you could walk over from. The staff is great. They are well aware of the properties shortcomings. Would I come back here again - no.

The views with the two arms of the harbor wrapping around the hotel...it is magical. I was worried when I read and saw how close it was to the highway, but with the way its nestled into the hill, road noise is no problem. As for the fog horn, yes, it is noisy and annoying. But we were provided ear plugs and a box fan. Due to the excessive heat this year (and probably every year moving forward--thanks a lot consumerist culture and climate change), we were roasting the first night. No AC. (And I hope they never get it. More wasted energy.) Used the box fan the second night and it was perfect. During the day, opened the glass patio door and enjoyed the ocean breeze. And did I mention the views? I could sit on that patio and watch the water, listening to seals barking, all. day. long. Lastly...it is walkable to the Noyo Headlands Park. This open space is magical. We learned that the neighboring wastewater plant helped replenish the soil after the conservancy obtained the land from the old lumber mill. Volunteers seeded plant life. Brilliant use of local resources! The birds and sea life were incredible. So glad to enjoy nature's glory, and just a walk from the hotel room.

We called ahead to see if there was a restaurant on sight. There isn't one, but they have a sister restaurant that is about 3 min away that if you get their coupon you get 20% off. It's only 3.5 stars on Yelp so we passed and ate on our way. We were running late so that was really our only option to get lunch on our way to work. On the phone they asked us our arrive time and according to the gps it said 1hr and 12 minutes. She said she'll try to have our room ready as people were just checking out now. We arrived at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4th 2026. To our amazement our room was ready, we weren't expecting that as we were so early. It was a blessing as I had to get to work in the room, we can work remotely sometimes. They also upgraded us to a room with a view. And it's a remarkable view of the ward and harbor. You can hear the sea lions, I believe barking at each other and many species of bird singing. There is a balcony with chairs you can sit out on too. The room has its own thermostat which keeps the room toasty warm on low and it's quiet. I can't recall what kind of unit it is but it's in the blood bad it quietly pushes hot air out. The room has a kireg type machine with sorted coffee, large mini fridge and freezer, and microwave. There is a desk and lounge chair and big screen tv with multiple channels. The shower/tub and toilet is separate from the vanity. The light to the tub/ toilet are is on the outside and the fan is extremely loud, so loud that it will wake up your mates who are in a deep slumber, so that's a minus. They have a ground floor that requires no steps and has a ramp that goes around to additional rooms. Other than that there are a lot of steps and no elevator that we've seen. So if you don't do stairs pick the ground floor and walk in on the lobby side. The lobby has all day tea, coffee, hot chocolate complimentary. They also have snacks and drinks for purchase: rice a Toni, Mac n cheese, spaghetti o's chicken noodle soup, tuna/chicken and crackers, chips, jerky oatmeal, and cold cereal. As for drinks they have juice boxes, milk, Gatorade, matcha, ect. No alcohol that I could see. The wharf is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive and they have seafood restaurants there. Across the street is Homestyle cafe for breakfast and lunch and you're a few min from downtown. This is a great location.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor and highway 1. Be forewarned, this hotel is definitely outdated, but it had everything we needed: it was fairly quiet, had a comfy bed, good water pressure, and was clean! Since our room was closer to the highway, it was a bit noisy with the sliding glass door open, but was fine once it was closed. It didn't bother us at night. Your room will also not be turned in daily, but they give you plenty of towels and the garbage cans are big so it was fine for our stay. Overall, we we'e very satisfied and recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.
