This is place is unsanitary. From the sandwich maker walking thru the dining area and touching walls while not wearing gloves as she's walking back to the kitchen and then touching the meat and dragging it across the counter where she's had other meats, to picking up her soda can without gloves on to take a drink. We have given this place several opportunities to win our business. The sandwiches are usually pretty decent when you finally receive them BUT on multiple occasions THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Many times our orders were not even started when we arrived to pick them up. We were on hold one time for over 20 minutes while we were driving home and wanted to stop by to pick up some sandwiches. We walked in the store and told them they might as well hang up the phone that was on hold for over 20 minutes because we were now there. Staff doesn't wear gloves when we have seen them prepare sandwiches. Staff attitude is poor and no one seems to care about it or they would handle it. Taking our business somewhere else. The owner and staff are all great and even though the space isn't huge, it's very well utilized and includes a tropical bar setup as well as outside seating. Don't go here the staff is very rude they dont even acknowledge you when you come in. They take way too long to prepare the food, the music is horribly loud, the food isn't even good, and when presented with this information the owner didn't even care. I was really excited to hear there was a new Beach Hut Deli in Cameron Park. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a spot I will frequent. It is attached to the Chevron gas station. There is not really any parking as it's attached to the gas station (just one single parking spot in front of the restaurant), so we parked on the street and walked over. There were only two street parking spots near by, and the other one was already taken, so parking is a definite problem. Not sure what the thinking was putting in a restaurant that only has one parking spot, and two nearby street parking spots? Inside is really cute, the same decor as all Beach Huts. It is pretty small. I think five tables. The girls at the counter were friendly. There were three of us in our group, and it took a long time for three sandwiches, over twenty minutes, despite there being no orders ahead of ours when we arrived. They messed up the order on two out of the three sandwiches, but we didn't bother bringing it up as it had taken so long to get the sandwiches in the first place. Other than the errors, the food was good. There were no lids available for fountain drinks which was weird, and the only straws were gigantic and super long, obviously not the proper straws for the cups provided. All in all, I would give them a pass on everything and give them another shot because they are a new business, but the location and parking issues will probably prevent me from coming back. There are so many vacant spots for restaurants in Cameron Park, I really wish this had been put somewhere else. On the other hand, it definitely classes up the gas station and is a nicer option than the fast food restaurants that are usually attached to gas stations. So if you frequently dine at gas stations on the go, this might be more up your alley. read more

my family and I live right around the corner from this BH location. we have always got it before camping....we come here even when not and as of lately, our experience has gone down hill. today we got sandwiches and when we open them, the bread is all torn and the sandwiches are falling apart. Sadly this isn't the first time it's happened. most recently before this, the cashier was obviously high out of his mind, struggled to count back my husbands change and so he laid it all out on the counter.... once he "counted" it, he SCOOPED it all up with both hands, crinkled bill.. changed and all, and awkwardly handed it to my husband who then had to uncrickle and organize his change....... I'm over this location. The service is terrible. my sandwiches are not worth the price these days and I'm tired of going and thinking my crappy sandwich and experience was just a fluke. It's clearly not and their standards have dropped...... I wouldn't waste your money here in the future if I were you. read more
