[[HIGHLIGHT]]So after not having OG for quite some time, the wife and I decided that Wednesday night while it was all rainy, we would visit this one because they have a Fireplace in the middle of the restaurant that you can sit by. Perfect for a cold and rainy night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So we asked the Hostess if we could sit there and we were accomodated with our choice of seating. After a few minutes my Waitress showed up very promptly, friendly and ready to serve us. We both ordered our drinks and in the process we waited for her to come back as we looked over the menu to see what we were wanting to eat. After she came back with Salad, Breadsticks and my wifes Gnocchi Soup, we then ordered. My wife actually went with that because it was a cold night and she needed something to help warm her up. So then I ordered the Muschroom stuff Ravioli and we just devoured the salad and waited on my entree to come. When my entree arrived it was hot, tasty and spicy. Being that I am not a big fan of spice, but hungry I decided to eat it anyways. The next time though I am gonna go with the Creamy Mushroom because to me that would be a better idea for Mushroom Stuffed Raviolis. Soup, salad, and bread were great. Zappu Tuscano was the highlight of the meal, so good. Entrees were ok. My daughter had the Chicken Alfredo, which was good. I ordered the calabrian steak and shrimp bucatini. Steak had a weird rubbery texture that was hard to get over. Shrimp was ok, but also a bit rubbery. Spicy sauce was good, but would not order again. Recently I was able to enjoy a weekday lunch at the Folsom Olive Garden (OG). It's one of my favorite places to eat. We timed our visit to intentionally avoid the peak high noon lunch crowd. Hubs and I got there a bit after that. Less hubbub. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our lunch was fantastic from the service, food, and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As is the majority of our experiences here. Lunch specials run about $15 (without a beverage) and only offered on the weekdays. Hubs got spaghetti n meatballs and I got chicken parmigiana. All meals include choice of salad or soup and garlic breadsticks. We opted for the salad. Our server did an awesome job of making sure our beverage was kept topped off and offered more salad or breadsticks. Endless! Bring it. I luv their salad, it's always so fresh looking and tasting. The bread is deliciously addicting. My chicken parm was tender at a nice thickness. If you order food to go, it's beautifully, meticulously packaged. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is always kept clean and comfortable. Devoid of clutter and unnecessary kitschy decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You have a choice to sit in a table or booth in the dining room or to eat in the bar area. The bar is a separate room. They can accommodate solo diners to big ole groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were a couple of slight hiccups in the beginning of our meal. At first the host sat us right next to an occupied table even with four other unoccupied tables around in the same area. We asked for one of those. No biggie. When our server left after dropping off our drink orders, he didn't immediately come back. But Hubs wanted to order with him and not use there electronic tablet on the table. But that was quickly communicated. So our server must have taken a mental note and assisted us without the use of the tablet throughout the rest of the meal. Awesome. Plus I keep reminding Hubs he's not telepathic. At the OG, you can use the kiosk to order and pay. And even play games. read more

Out of all the Olive Gardens, this location is by far my favorite! We popped by on a Friday night preparing for a long wait but we were seated immediately as a party of 4. While staying nearby for a high school theater festival, the kids - all 47 of them - unanimously announced that they wanted to eat The Olive Garden. The restaurant was fantastic at accommodating our large group last minute on a Friday night - while the entire group couldn't sit together, they were able to set up multiple tables for us, arrange for separate bills so the kids wouldn't have to worry about splitting bills, and food came out quickly so everyone was fed. At our table, we had the pleasure of being served by Desmond. Desmond was very accommodating and polite, and he genuinely seemed eager to serve. When there was a miscommunication regarding bringing our table soup - we had spoke to a busser about getting more soup and the information relayed was to bring us a full table of what we ordered previously instead of allowing us to choose a different variety - he was extremely gracious about bringing everything back and taking the orders of what we wanted for the second round. When we were ready to pay and there was a computer back up, he apologized for the wait. As a server, he was very attentive and really tried to go above and beyond - you're in good hands if you get him at your table. As for the food, the food was honestly mid. It's definitely not anything you'd get at a mom & pops place, but for the price and for endless soup/salad and breadsticks with every entree, you really can't go wrong here. It's a really budget friendly meal place and perfect for ensuring hungry teenagers are well fed. The food was hit or miss, my Five Cheese Ziti with chicken was dry with hardly any sauce, while my husband's Chicken Alfredo was fine. The Zuppa Toscana was mostly broth, like the bottom of the pot. Service is where things really went downhill. I asked for a water refill, and the server asked if I wanted more water, but I never actually received it. Later in the meal, she oddly thanked us for paying when we hadn't paid yet. Then, when it came time to pay, we ran into issues with the table tablet (we had wanted to use Apple Pay). The server said she could take a card to the back, but since I only had cash on me, I gave her a $100 bill. Instead of bringing back a receipt and change, as is standard, she immediately asked, "Do you want your change?" without ever telling me my total. When I asked what was my total, she said she'd be back with it, but then returned with only the receipt and again asked, "Do you want your change?" By this point it was uncomfortable to even say yes, because she had asked twice already in a way that felt pushy and entitled. For context, my total was $75.91. That means she kept $24.09 without me ever handing it to her as a tip. That's about 31% of our bill, an amount no reasonable customer would tip by default, especially given the service we received. As someone who has waitressed for many years, I found this to be extremely unprofessional and misleading. A tip should be freely given for good service, not taken by making a customer feel pressured or uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the experience left a very bad impression, and I will not be returning to this location. read more

We've all had Olive Garden, however, Olive Garden catering was such a good idea!!!! We catered for a work lunch for about 30 people. We ordered the endless pasta, salad, some baked ziti, chicken parm and dessert! We ended up with lunch for two days thanks to Olive Garden. The delivery was perfect and right on time they even walked the food to the back of the clinic to help set up. They brought everything we needed for this lunch event even ice to go with the tea. We had one of the worst dining experiences here. Service was almost nonexistent--no attentiveness, and it took forever just to get basics like breadsticks. Most of us ordered the "Never Ending Pasta Bowl," yet it took nearly an hour just to receive our first plate, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. To make matters worse, in one of the chicken Alfredo dishes we found a large piece of plastic mixed in with the pasta (photo attached). That alone was unacceptable, but what really shocked us was the lack of response from management. The manager never came to address the situation, and no sincere apology was given until we were literally walking out the door. Between the long waits, careless service, and the serious food safety issue, this was absolutely disgusting and incredibly disappointing. read more

Our host was on his first day of work at Olive Garden and kept his cool despite the confusion we brought with us. The biggest rave review is for Heaven, our server. I was celebrating my birthday with family and Heaven made it just extra special!! She was knowledgeable, yes, but above all she was just sincerely kind, funny and hospitable. I can say - without resevation - that it was the best birthday dinner ever! I think I lost every calorie I consumer by laughing and talking. It was, in a word, Heaven-ly. Went here a while back for the 14 dollar all you can eat pasta. They were very cheap with their breadsticks. When we'd ask for more we'd get sometimes just 2 breadsticks! Also the breadsticks were pretty stale and not very good. The pasta was average at best. Nothing there was good. And I went to a different olive garden a month later and it was great. This was one is sadly bad. Nothing good about the experience really. I hope they close down and a more deserving restaurant takes their place. Just seemed like a restaurant that couldn't care less about Quality or Making their customers happy. Most of the food was barely edible! read more

My wife and I took our daughter and son in law here to celebrate their anniversary. We order aptitizers and dinner for four the aptitizers were deep fried so Crisp that none of us could chew them. My wife pointed this out to our server but she did nothing. My wife had the tour of Italy. The chicken was so hard so could hardly cut into it. I had the Manicoti. It was so crisp that I couldn't chew it. I sent it back. I then ask for Lasgna with an Italian sausage. The Lasgna was cold. The sausage was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. I wasn't told of it being spicy or I would not ordered it. Our daughter's dinner was cold. I had a cup of coffee. It was cold. I was never offered another cup. Our meal was about $135.00. To me, it wasn't worth $5.00. This one restaurant we are crossing off our list for restaurants never to go back to. If I could give less than 1 I would have given a zero. read more

One of my mom's favorite places as she lives the salad and breadsticks. I mean, who doesn't love a freshly baked breadstick? We were there a bit later than normal dinner time and so it was blissfully not busy nor was there any wait. We were seated pretty quickly and our server was very polite and friendly. The restaurant wasn't noisy since we were dining late. I was tempted with the AYCE pasta, but controlled myself and instead went for the spaghetti and meatballs, which was really good. My son even said the meatballs were very tasty and properly seasoned. He ordered the chicken parmigiana which came with spaghetti and a marinara sauce. He didn't talk much so he must have enjoyed it! It looked pretty good, not overdone and the cheese nicely melted and a bit browned. Mom had her favorite shrimp Alfredo, that came with mushrooms and lots of shrimp. Went here because my daughter is obsessed with Olive Garden. I think that's because it was one of the first Italian places that we went to when we immigrated to the uS and she was very young. But for some weird reason, my son also loves Olive Garden so much. I don't get it. I mean it's decent but why do the kids love it so much. We went here for a super late lunch or you can call it a super early dinner too. We are not from Folsom but are in the area running some errands. When we got there, the restaurant seemed pretty empty but they made us wait. I don't know why. Anyway, we got a small booth but it was so small and I didn't feel it was cleaned thoroughly in the corners. I didn't want to get too close to the walls. Food was decent as always, depends on what you like. We ordered a calamari for starters. My son ordered a raspberry lemonade and some basic cheese ravioli pasta from the kids menu. I ordered the salmon with broccoli. Too many broccoli and a tiny salmon fillet. It was okay. My daughter ordered ravioli and my husband ordered chicken Margherita. The latter was really bad. Service was decent. Ambiance was not that great. I would not want to go there again but I'm sure my kids will drag me again. read more

If you go to Olive Garden, you probably like the bread. It's my favorite part of coming here.

The Alfredo was cold and powdery. And we only wanted a small sauce of marinara to dip our breadsticks in but they brought out a boat size and charged us $5.99 for it. When we questioned the servers get in trouble if they bring out a small one and it's a mandatory charge. Our 2nd round of drinks came in the glasses they use for beer. I believe that because they were so busy they didn't have time to rinse them properly before placing them to frost- the drink tasted like dish soap. Our server was great, very helpful and super sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the atmosphere- nice but super busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After this meal -I knew there was a reason why I hadn't been to any Olive Garden in a couple of years. You know it's really sad because I love the Olive Garden. I've been going to the Olive Garden since my daughter was a baby. My daughter loved the Olive Garden. I started off in the area. I'm here in Folsom. I like to give this good ratings, but it's very difficult last time I went there. I didn't like my steak Alfredo. It was sour to me. I complain three times. The waitress just ignored me. I left there without no dinner and it cost me $70. It's my grandson's favorite place. He loves this place. He loves the breadsticks. He loves the croutons and the salads. It's kind of sad but I'm gonna give a bright side because I complain a lot. I'm hoping that the gift certificate that's on my phone for 25 bucks from Olive Garden works for me because it's kind of sad. Went there yesterday and I went to the bathroom and I saw an African American worker use the bathroom, I heard the toilet flush, and he didn't even wash his hands. He just walked out and went right back to work. There's also signs in the bathroom telling their workers to WASH YOUR HANDS. Absolutely disgusting wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

If you don't mind microwave food then you might like it, Olive Garden does not make their food on site for the most part it is sent to them and then the cooks open the bags and basically heat it up for most of the food I know this for a fact. We have given this resturant a few tries but not going back... three strikes you are out. We also noticed they bring your food while you are still eating your salads like trying to get you in and out ASAP also the service is fair nothing to write home about and their prices aren't that great so save your money and go to another Italian restaurant where they make their food on site because it sure beats airplane food that has just been microwaved read more

Me and my friends went here for our Homecoming dinner. We made a reservation at 5:50, but once we got there we had to wait 25 minutes. I mean what's the point of reservation then? We asked them maybe two times when we would get our table but they said 10 minutes both times. An employee. Aarayha, seemed annoyed with us even though we made a reservation and ignorantly led us to our table. We felt really uncomfortable and were definitely dissatisfied with this service from the employees. Just picked up a to-go order. Was supposed to be curb side pick up, but they got my order wrong so I had go inside to fix it. When I went in I waited 15 minutes to be addressed, and I have to initiate the conversation ‍ (see photo). I leaned over and saw about 8 people in the kitchen including the manager joking around. At least have 1 person in the front watching for customers... there were people behind me waiting to get seats. Thank God they have good food. I enjoy my minestrone , salad and breadsticks. The fried ravioli was decent as well. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence. I'll reassess my review in a month. read more
