We really enjoy their sandwiches. When we are near by we try to stop in for lunch. We haven't tried their pizza or tacos yet. But we hear they amazing. Every time we are there getting our sandwiches others are leaving with pizzas. This last time a couple ordered sandwiches and a half baked pizza to go. We tried different sandwiches this time also. It doesn't matter what day or time you come in, whether they're slammed busy or it's a slower day, these guys always deliver excellent customer service. The young ladies working here are always friendly and have genuine conversations with customers that never feel forced. During the summertime, we usually stick with getting a sandwich. The sandwiches are very delicious, but I will say they aren't always consistent. Last week, my sandwich was loaded with meat. This week, the meat was a little more "missing in action." Tacos served only on Tuesdays. The sign they posted near the road worked. The tacos has a fried corn tortillas shell taco, it is packed with your choice of protein (ground beef, chicken, spicy chorizo, and carnitas) and topped with shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. onions, sour cream, and jalapeños. It is served with a side of homemade salsa which is quite flavorful. $4 a taco. Basic, fresh ingredients, and all so simply tasty. Yum. I gotta say they are not authentic Mexican tacos and not meant to be. They even have a vegetarian version with refried beans and avocado. Did ya know the biz started as a take n bake pizza joint? Well they still make those. I bought one. Oooh it was way better tasting than the big chain take n bakes. A higher quality of ingredients. They provide baking instructions. I followed them and got a perfect bake. The crust bakes up to a heavenly light crispness with a fluffy, moist interior. The crust thickness is not too thin or thick, just how I like it. I hear they serve up mean tasty sandwiches including some signature ones. They serve breakfast burritos and muffins in the morning. They have a daily specials menu that rotates weekly. The WORST experience I've had in the 30 plus years going to this sandwich stop. I arrived 15 minutes after placing my order. Candice took my usual order. When I arrived, I realized they messed up and gave me a different sandwich. At the counter, the girl stated that she was going to have them make the correct sandwich. It was only gonna be a few minutes. I walked outside purchased a bag of chips came back in and they gave my sandwich away to somebody else. no apologies. No communication. Not even an offer to make the order right. My business must mean nothing to them when I asked for a refund because I unfortunately could not wait any longer due to going back to work. I was told the refund on my card and I got eyes rolled at me. This was not Candice typical behavior however she looked very tired and distraught. Unfortunately now after 30 years will be not be going to the sandwich place after this negative experience because it wasn't just Candice who took the order was also the girl at the register who could've apologized but nothing was said except for my refund is on my card. I know my absence from this place will not affect the business as it is a very busy location. I just know Candice's mother who ran the shop would never approve of the way that things are being ran now. It's sad to see how things are progressing. read more

Went to lunch with a friend today and Gularte's was our choice. A small family owned deli that's always bustling with happy patrons. The staff is always cheerful and helpful. Today I tried the turkey sandwich with chipotle, and cheddar on a roll. The sandwich was absolutely delicious! I don't know how they do it; everything is always spot on!! The spice level was perfect, the roll was perfect, the texture of the sandwich was one of the most wonderful things I've ever had for lunch! I think I literally love the sandwich I had today, no kidding! My coworker had the beef dip sandwich that he devoured. Service was great, our sandwiches were delivered to our table professionally. It is a small joint in the corner of a strip of stores sharing the parking lot for a gas station. On arrival, the line out the door is probably a clue. The first day I got a ham and turkey sandwich on jalapeño cheddar sliced bread. It was a decent sandwich.. the potato salad was very good. Day 2, cheesesteak on French with cheddar. It was not exactly a Philly cheesesteak, but it was pretty darn good. The meat was super tender and flavor was solid. Lots of salads in the refrigerator if that's what you are looking for.
