Friendly and quick service! Fresh ingredients, and good portions. A little on the higher priced end but you pay for quality. Woody- very good, the fresh cheese was great. The only complaint here is the ratio of bread to filling. Way too much bread compared to meat and veggies. If you want a quality sandwich, stop by. I will say the pricing is a bit higher but you're paying for better ingredients.

Always good food and a fun place to hang out. My 2 year old loves roaming the shop with the tvs, booths, and the games. That said, it also helps keep her in one place with the tv in the booth. Staff is always friendly and pretty efficient. Their sandwiches are really good too, getting cream cheese on them threw me at first but I really enjoy it at times. They do a great job customizing any sandwich and the local specials are all really good. They really load up the sandwiches which is great. I love that getting a large sandwich is definitely enough to feed our family of 3. If you are ever looking for a great salad, this is on of my favorite places to get it. They do a great job with little ones too, they have a nice coloring station to grab a paper and crayons. Decent menu for the kiddos as well.

Picture does not do this justice. Beach bites. Garlic toast with cheese and hot marinara. DELICIOUS

Visiting the area & used yelp to locate this establishment. Empty upon entering. Order food at the counter. Their is a tv at every table. Pool table and arcade game. Variety of food options. Received food within 20 minutes. Staff is friendly and provides very good customer service. We ordered food to go and it was packaged well. Food was fresh and hot food was hot. All of the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

We ordered the beach bites as an appetizer and our entrees were the Marley nachos and chicken pesto sandwich. The food was delicious and the customer service was amazing. Shout out to Haley, Josh & Makayli

    Running to get sandwiches.

On our way to Montaña de Oro and my kids see this deli. They went to one in Morgan Hill and begged to stopped for sandwiches for our hike. We ordered 2 sandwiches to split between 4 of us: The Spiccoli with avocado and The Sunrise. The sandwiches are huge!! It's practically all meat. They're good for sure. They have so many sandwich choices. It was difficult to decide. They had some speciality sandwiches that had cream cheese instead of sliced cheese. I should've tried that.

These sandwiches were the bomb. There sandwiches are amazing!!!!! Stuffed with all the goodies.

The best sandwiches!!! Fast service. And love the tv screens at the tables. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed

You can get a 26 oz mug of Lizard's Mouth IPA by Figueroa Mountain (10% abv) here, which I think is technically illegal, but awesome!

Memorial Day weekend on the Central Coast is always a negotiation with chaos. Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

Problem...the stores have different items. I had chosen a sandwich that wasn't offered here. We filled out our order forms. I recreated that sandwich to the best of my ability. It had turkey and veggies and cranberry on Dutch crunch bread. We also ordered a Dutch Punch sandwich and a build your own chicken cutlet sandwich. We got two orders and fries, an order of onion rings and 3 fountain drinks. The food arrived at different times as the order was ready. All the food was good. The sandwiches were good sized with lots of filling. The fries were great. The onion rings were the star. They were light and crispy and we all loved them. Parking is not easy in this area. It took a few circles to find a spot. We got a table right away. There was a kitchen-like play area for the kids. That kept them busy while we waited 20-30 minutes for food. Cute shop. They had stickers and baked goods and gifty items. Woman at the counter was a little impatient with customers. One surprise was the total price. Three sandwiches, three drinks, two fries and an order of onion rings plus tip was almost $97. Never had such an expensive sandwich in my life!

After 4 PM, they offer the "420 Special," which makes their sandwiches only $9. They also have online ordering, which I attempted to use, but they had already reached their limit for online orders because they were so busy. And after visiting, I can see why! Despite the crowd, they've perfected their sandwich ordering system, it's super efficient. When you walk in, you fill out a small paper checklist with your order and hand it to one of the employees at the register. They submit your order, you pay, and then wait for your sandwich. Expect at least a 25-minute wait, especially during busy hours. I tried the Tropical Vacation sandwich: smoked turkey, jalapeño havarti, "the works," romaine, sprouts, avocado, honey mustard, cranberry sauce, and sliced sourdough. I swapped the sourdough for Dutch Crunch bread, and it was PERFECT. It was the thickest, juiciest, and most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. I'll be dreaming about it until I can have it again. The pictures truly don't do these sandwiches justice, they were massive. I also tried the Spring Club sandwich. It was just as thick and delicious, though not quite as juicy as the Tropical Vacation. Honestly, I want to try ALL of their sandwiches because I have no doubt they're all amazing. The shop itself is super cute with a vintage feel, and they also offer a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

Unfortunately, their sandwiches are about the same - at least the one I try. I ordered a turkey on a roll with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. The bread was still SO DRY that I couldn't like the sandwich at all. I did order a small pizza and a hotdog. These are new to the menu since I was there last. After waiting an incredibly long amount of time to get my order, I was at least happy with the pizza and hot dog. Glad to have a hot dog option next to the theatre so I can sneak one in!! I ordered extra cheese on the pizza but I didn't need to. I am happy to upgrade my star rating to 3-stars for those two new items. I am picky about the bread for my sandwiches and honestly the only one I liked was when you had the sliced wheat bread option available one day as a fluke. I will go to Mr. Pickles for my sandwiches from now on, but I might stop in for a pizza or a dog.
