Pork belly quesadilla
Mitzy A.

We ordered the pork belly quesadilla, the pork belly was very good, but the tortilla was over toasted for my liking.

My, my, my. This was introduced to us by a friend and coworker of mine and I am eternally grateful for them because this place is DELICIOUS. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the 3rd Street Style Quesadillas family style. Those two dishes were enough to feed a party of five! The quesadillas were to DIE FOR. We ordered them and added chorizo and onions and it was perfect. And not to forget, their rootbeer was a favorite by the table! The outerior was also super cute and definitely just a great place to hangout at.

The "new improved" slider...

Beerwood has some new items on the menu as well as a redo of some favorites like their sliders...new buns, different meat and a spicy juicy taste!

Stopped in just minutes before closing to get a bowl of tomato soup and a salad. Everything always tastes great, and I especially like their bottles of root beer.

Grilled cheese, sliders, hatch green chile soup

One of the best lunches while visiting Morro Bay. We stumbled upon a farmers market right in front that day. Simple ordering at front and quaint seating outside. Split plate charge is $2. My kids shared grilled cheese with lots of fruit. Hubby loved his sliders. My soup was mainly broth, not chunky at all and bread was rather hard, but overall still happy. We also tried the carrot cake, more dense but still good. Def recommend.

Kimchi Rice...

Wow, new top 5 place. AWESOME FOOD. I had the Kimchi rice and my husband had the breakfast burrito. Super fresh and delicious. Lovely 66 degrees sitting on the patio enjoying mimosas and brunch. We need to check out Los Osos way more ofte

Bread platter

I visited Beerwood for a late lunch and had a fairly mixed experience. I started with the bread platter, which was unfortunately underwhelming. The sourdough was on the dry/stale side, though the olive oil it came with was adequate and added a little life to it. Things improved a lot with the grilled cheese and chipotle bisque soup. The grilled cheese was very good and crispy, the bisque paired really well with it. I also tried the Alaska Amber cider, which was smooth, easy to drink, and rounded out the meal nicely. The ambiance was good with music and helpful staff. Overall, some hits and some misses, but enough good elements that I'd consider coming back.

The most delicious tomato soup and grilled cheese I've ever had...

I love the sweet spot close to the ocean. Nice outdoor patio and relaxed vibe. I also like sitting on the barstools hanging out by myself. Great beer and non-alcoholic drinks... such an eye to detail here, local produce and sustainability. Use of everything so there is no waste and a true sense of a community circle with local farms and farm to table in a real sense. I love everything Chef Jessica and team create from soups, salads to desserts. Highly recommend!

Daily Special Tri-Tip Sandwich (come w/ side)

Beer Good Locally-owned brewpub that features house crafted brews and a curated menu of tasty eats that has something to please everyone in your party. The Good: *Friendly service *Order at the counter and then they bring it out to you (i.e., fast casual) *Nice selection of beers and the two we tried were both tasty, altho the Hazy could've been a little more grapefruity for our liking. *Dog-friendly outdoor dining with some firepits for added warmth. *Tri-Tip Sandwich special was fabulously tender and had great flavor. *Carissa enjoyed her BetaBel salad but she said it definitely needed the extra protein or she definitely would've been hungry an hour later. The Meh: *French onion soup side was just OK. The broth wasn't nearly beefy or oniony enough for my liking, but the crispy parmesan cracker on top was a nice touch. The Ugly: *Beerwood is located right in the middle of a Baywood residential neighborhood so it's clientele will be 90+% local yokels who will stare if they don't know who you are. Idgaf, but some people might not feel the same way. Conclusion: Tasty brews, delicious eats, and a great space. I'd definitely be a regular if I lived nearby, but I promise not to stare. :)

Breakfast Sando with guava mimosa

Cozy atmosphere, excellent food, and great prices! What a gem! Service was quick also! Had the breakfast Sando which was tasty with lots of fresh fruit on the side

The Primo sandwich

The place is very chill and the staff friendly. The host offered me tastes of the cider and wine before buying. We sat outside near the heating lamps. Lots of local families with kids and friends hanging out. It was great. I got the primo sandwich (BLT with avocado) and a tomato bisque. It was so good, I finished it even though I was full. My 14 year old was able to order sliders off the kids menu. She was a bummed that no fries were available. But the sliders were gone in no time. I highly recommend this spot.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work here. We visited on Monday night, so not a very busy atmosphere but still they had customers coming and going and lounging too. There is mainly patio space for seating and then a very small indoor area, so definitely plan for an outdoor experience here. There was a variety of high tops, low tops, and patio furniture throughout including a toddler size picnic table that had some toys on it. Such a blessing because my almost 2 year old was with us and I have been having such major anxiety about taking her to more "adult" type restaurants. When we pulled up to park i had only seen high tops so i got super nervous and instantly relieved to see it was going to be kid friendly. They even had high chairs. It is also very dog friendly. This place feels homey and chill with a super small brewery vibe though. The food/bar was walk up order and you can leave a tab open for easy reorder. There is also a window to the patio for that. They bring the food out to you when ready. The food was pretty decent variety without being chaotic. Mostly American food items with little twists. I ordered a hard kombucha, which was probably the best I have ever had. I also had a rose hard cider which was pretty good, but the kombucha was better! My husband ordered a tri tip bowl. The tri tip was perfection, the beans lacked some flavor, and the veges were really fresh. We got a "shark cooterie" board for my toddler which was semi successful, we didnt realize how large or how adult some of the snacks on there would be such as nuts. Would have been cool to have more crackers..she loved the bread, the fruit, and the salami. The shark shaped board was adorable! I ordered a grilled cheese with fruit on the side. Fruit was great and the grilled cheese delivered on gooey and salty and depth of flavor. I wish I had put mushroom or something else delicious on it as an add on to take it to the next level. The customer service here was top notch from everyone we interacted with which is what will bring me back on future trips ultimately. So kind to my daughter and just interesting people who served well. Food all came out in a timely manner as well. The customers were all quite friendly and open, especially those with dogs we were admiring and those who interacted with my toddler. Great experience! Support this business and check them out!

Memorial Day weekend on the Central Coast is always a negotiation with chaos. Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

The chicken cutlet sandwich and classic club were both top notch…read more Grab your sandwich and eat by the bay. The location is so close to the water and there's really no better way to enjoy it. This is a must stop if you're on the central coast. Long bathroom line, so plan accordingly.

Super cool bar. We were driving into town at night and randomly stumbled upon this place and…read morestopped in to have a drink. The funny statues at the front give the place a unique atmosphere, and the architecture/interior of the building has a classic Cheers-like feeling to it. It's spacious and roomy on the inside with nice furnishings and it has a beautiful wooden bar area if you appreciate those things. There's also a patio with tables out front which is perfect if you have dogs. The service was super great and friendly, and also everyone we met was really friendly. It's definitely a locals hangout, everyone there was a local. While we were there we ended up talking to several people and they were all really nice. My friend and I were both clearly out of towners and both the bartender and the local people were super cool, so we definitely had a difference experience from the last two reviewers. I will say though, they do close on the somewhat earlier side, I think they closed around 12-12:30 on a Thursday when we were there so don't expect to be staying there till 2am. If you're stopping through town, honestly I think this place is a hidden gem that's worth putting on your list of places to visit.

My girlfriend, her cousin and I came here after one drink at the bar across the street because my…read moregirlfriend and I remembered how much fun we had here last time (with a different bartender, important) and wanted to show her cousin a good time in this town. As soon as we walked in the vibe was weird- it reminded me of the movie Get Out. There were zero women in the place- just the male bartender and 3 male patrons. No music playing, no conversation. Just silent. We were 3 women walking into this creepy male dominated bar but didn't care because we were just there to have fun. In hindsight we should have walked right back out. My girlfriend and her cousin had to use the restroom so I sat down at the bar to wait for them and order us drinks. Right away the bartender approached me and in a very unwelcoming tone told me "just so you know I've already called last call". I checked the time, it was 12:30. We had had a late dinner the next town over and had just gotten back and were looking forward to a nightcap in this town we love to visit so much. Now, we all know that bars close at 2, (it even says that on their hours when you Google it) so I was confused. I looked at the clock, looked back at the bartender, and said "it's not even 1 yet. Are you not open until 2?" To which he VERY rudely and condescendingly replied, "what, did you see that online somewhere one time?" and was visibly annoyed that I dare even ask a harmless question. At this point I had felt completely unwelcome and was basically in fight or flight mode because I could tell he just wanted a problem. Ok, you got it. I asked him what his problem was and he stammered over his words like he was surprised I could even hold my own. His goofy ass buddy playing pool stepped in as his backup at this point reiterating that last call had in fact already been called. I said "ok, that's fine, but he didn't need to be so rude about it". To which the dork playing pool replied "he wasn't being rude at all actually", like ok, are you hoping to go home with him or something? I said "you must have not heard the way he was speaking to me then" at which point this man towering over me started raising his voice and YELLING at me "I'm standing right here I heard the whole thing!" at this point I was honestly ready for whatever was coming next but by then my girlfriend and her cousin were coming out of the bathroom completely unaware of what was happening so I just called them all assholes and told my girlfriend "we're leaving, these guys are f***ing weird" and we left. The 5'4" male bartender followed us out and stood on the sidewalk as we walked to our car, I guess he was trying to look tough but our group of 3 women were all taller than him. I said loudly that he clearly has little man syndrome as we left and that was it. I have no idea what his problem was. We are very friendly and respectful people and were there to have a drink or two and a few laughs before going back to our hotel for the night and instead I was met with *attempted* intimidation by *mostly* fully grown men. I guess they wanted the place all to themselves for their little circle jerk sausage party. Won't be back. Ever. I've been a server and bartender for over 15 years and could never imagine treating anyone this way. It was truly disgusting for absolutely NO reason at all, and based on all the other reviews complaining about what is clearly the same guy, it astonishes me that this is the type of person they want representing their business. Horrible service and environment. Legends owner, I'm talking to you. Shameful.
