If you want great tasting food and quick service in a laid back atmosphere this is the spot. The menu has a good selection. Our party was served very quickly. The stuff was friendly and helpful, the food tasted fresh. We'll be back next year!

Grover Station Grill in Grover Beach, California Inside and outside seating

Walt from Walt's Adventures reporting in from Grover Beach, California. I am eating my lunch in an area that used to be a railway station. This is, in fact, my second visit to the Grover Station Grill and I am pleased to report that the quality of the food, customer service, and the overall ambiance of the grill remains the focus of the eatery. If you are looking for a quick getaway from hustle of tourists and a meal that is less than the average tourist amount in price but not in quality, then travel down the road to the Grover station grill. It is a wonderful establishment for taking a breather from tourist central of Pismo Beach. The smallest of details would be that my chair was a bit wobbly but it is really splitting hairs for the station is a wonderful place to eat and I am sure that it will remain on my agenda in the future.

One slice of ham, cheese on one side. Not to mention this was supposed to be GRILLED Ham and Cheese sandwich. Weird spots on the ham

I hate to give a bad review but this was probably the worst Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich I've ever had in my life. One slice of ham and one slice of cheese just on one side of the bread and cheese isn't even melted (see the picture) The quality of ham was frankly disgusting. It comes with the option of fries or side salad for $12! The sandwich I had probably worth less than $5. Service was friendly but not going back.

Had a tuna sandwich with a side salad. The tuna sandwich was very bland and mostly bread. The side salad also had pieces of rotten/mushy lettuce. Waited 30 minutes for my food because there was one person in the kitchen. That doesn't make an excuse for subpar food. Will not be back.

Delicious little spot we stopped at for lunch. Close to the beach. Friendly and quick service. There was even live music when we were there.

Beachin' Biscuits had amazing reviews and I do love a good biscuit so I headed out to order some takeout. Super cute location with both indoor and outdoors seating. It was early, but there were a few customers already there eating their breakfast. The customer service was outstanding. The young man who took my order was really friendly and helped me decide what to order. I opted for the scrambled eggs that came with cheese on top the homemade house, potatoes, and an amazing biscuit. I also got the honey butter and the strawberry jam. My order came pretty quickly and off I went. Eggs - perfectly cooked and loved the addition of the cheese on top. Wasn't overpowering at all. Potatoes - I actually really loved these. They had a smoky flavor to them that was just delicious. Biscuit - this was one of the best biscuits I've ever had. It was light and buttery and just delicious. I could easily eat two or three of these myself. Thankfully, I only got one and shared it with Mom. The honey butter was delicious, but the star of the show was that strawberry jelly oh my goodness it's so good! 10 out of 10 I will be back!!

Most of the parking you will find is "paid parking "...ya sorry, I don't "pay" for parking...just not a "believer", I rather park farther away from a venue and enjoy the walk to and from. Lucky I didn't have to do that because just as I arrived at the restaurant another patron was leaving the small parking lot between Beachin Biscuits and Alex's BBQ ...amazing! The "order line" was out the door and all tables (first come first serve) were occupied by customers, but not to worry...the tables "turn over" pretty quickly and again, I got lucky and seating wasn't a problem (but it could be). The associate who took our order was cheerful and all associates were seemingly very busy. Our order: from the "Gravy Lovers" section...GNARLY BISCUIT SANDWICH (5/5 - truly a magnificent dish...and a great introduction to this restaurant's "best"), from the "Breakfast Burritos and Tacos" section...SUNRISE TACOS (5/5 - very tasty) and THE PABLO (4/5 - flavorful and a great "hand-held" food), from the Lunch Menu "Sandwiches" section...THE TIDE POOL w/Spicy mayo (3/5 - this was the "lowest rated offering"...wasn't hot/warm when it was served - felt like it had been left "standing for awhile" before being served...needed more spicy mayo and the chicken seemed "dry".), from the "Homemade Biscuit" section...BOARDWALK BITES (3.5/5 - really good when hot...but after a few minutes were very "dry" ...I should have had these w/coffee). The "value factor" is high here my dear Yelp Review Readers ...everyone had leftovers to "take with" and mine last 3 additional meals! Also (FYI) there is only 1 bathroom...so be prepared to "wait" if the need should arise. Nevertheless, all in all...the vibe is energetic and fun, parking isn't the best or pleasant, the food is, by enlarge, really good (recommend ordering an offering in which a biscuit plays an integral part...it is after all "Beachin Biscuits") and the service (for our experience) was good. On this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, Beachin Biscuits is in fact "worth the hype" and truly earned this "highly recommend" 4.5 Star "we'll be back soon" review.

Overall, the name of this dish was 100% spot on as it was messy as hell. It was a super generous serving and definitely covered two meals for me, which was impressive. It also came with a choice of more-different-carb, so I opted for a biscuit. It was surprisingly crispy on the outside and made for a nice contrast-y dessert bite when topped with their homemade jam. I recommend checking the spot out, and try to nab a seat outside.

A family owned business, open for breakfast and lunch and serving great home-cooked meals. We had to wait for a bit for a table; they have a pad and pen on the stand outside and you put your name and the number of your party on the pad. As spots open either inside or out, a young man would come over and scratch off the next in line. Once called, our server, Aaron, came over to offer drinks and see if we had any questions. It was busy and he was definitely working a large number of tables but at the same time he was attentive and pleasant. Wife had oatmeal with the addition of blueberries and nuts and I chose the hamburger patty with eggs over medium. The oatmeal was good, nothing out of the world and the berries were fresh...she had to ask for the nuts because they didn't come out initially. My breakfast was good...burger was thin and cooked through but not dry and the eggs were almost medium! Served with home fries, which I think were a bit greasy but tasty. Daughter and son-in-law had the strawberry waffle and she said it was tasty, malty, and fresh strawberries (not that gel-like goo some places cover their waffles with) and lots of fresh whip cream. They also ordered bacon, well done and it came without that well-done crispy way of cooking bacon. Overall a good, solid breakfast spot with good food. No pictures this time around...

They have both open air patio and fully cover patio that's perfect even when the weather outside is a little chili. There are even toys and kids book for the little ones in their cover patio. 1 star Customer service: Jaimie, the owner, is one of the most personal and interesting person you'd ever meet. The very first week that I started coming here consistently, I was so surprised when I CALLED, not even ordering in person, to order my usual Dolomitti for the 3rd time in a row, she immediately recognized my voice on the phone and knew my usual preference of coffee ice cubes in my drinks. I soon became the "Dolomitti lady" lol. It still amazes me how she can remember that given all the customers she gets each day. 1 star Quality of coffee/drinks/food: One of the reasons I can't help but keep coming back to Perfetto is the wide range of food and pastry goods that they have to offer. I try not to drink coffee first thing in the morning, knowing it would turn into a very effective laxative. It's definitely a huge bonus that not only does Perfetto offer plenty of sandwiches/paninis/salad options, but they're one of the best I have had. My go to every time is the Tuscany panini. They use sourdough bread from Grover Beach Sourdough, which cannot get better than that. The bread is perfectly pressed and toasted with the perfect crunch and cheese pull. Besides, it's a given that I love the coffee here to keep coming back and ordering the same thing. 2 stars! I don't think I've ever gotten a hot drinks from here, so I can't personally tell if they do latte art or not. However, when the drinks and the food are too good, I could care less about the latte art and keep coming back here at least once or twice a week. 1 star If you're in the area or just passing by, I highly recommend checking out this place. Plus it's conveniently located just right off of 101. So no reason not to. I just wish they stay open later and all 7 days a week! This is the breakdown of my rating for coffee shops: Quality of coffee/drinks/food: up to 2 stars Consistently offer latte art: 1 Star Atmosphere: 1 Star Customer service: 1 Star
