Ordered the dirty buffalo wrap or so I thought I did but then received the dirty bird (pictured) which is essentially just chicken strips and bbq sauce. I was so disappointed and thought they completely messed up my order but then when I left I rechecked the menu and there is a god awful wrap that has these ingredients. I should have probably spoken up to an employee immediately upon reveling my order. Either way the taste was very mid, big portion size I guess but really it's just all the curly fries taking up all the space. Had a rice krispy as well and it was just all right, tasted a bit old and not so fresh. I probably would not return, it was all very expensive and my boyfriend was not a huge fan of his 805 wrap as well.

Food was ready for the time slot we ordered. Nice and hot. Great service, we would go back.

Food: I had the hot pastriami. It wasn't too wet, it wasnt too dry, it was perfect. I had a of week but it was fantastic. service: it was decent. No one was really there so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. ambiance: very pub like, i can host a lot of people and a great spot to watch sports or have a great time.

Can't go wrong stopping for some tri-tip cheesesteak in San Luis Obispo! My photo is of half the sandwich (asked to split for two), and it was a perfectly hearty portion served steaming hot with tender meat and soft bread. I'd skip the brownie next time, it was quite thick and not as moist as expected, but the cheesesteak was super satisfying. Love the ease of parking and plentiful seating both indoor and outdoor. Highly recommend for a good hot sandwich!

Y'all it was gem after gem on our overnight trip to SLO. After checking into our hotel we were hungry and looking for something to eat. I wanted something on the light side since it was a little late. Of course YELP to the rescue. Hoagies is a cute little spot in the downtown area of SLO. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as TV's and a small bar area. The service was impeccable. The menu made it hard to decide what to try. My hubby had the Pastrami and curly fries, and I had the Dirty Bird. First let's talk about the Pastrami. I'm usually not a fan of the meet because it's not cooked long enough, but this was perfect it had little burnt tips which were perfect. Now the Dirty Bird. Let's just say the portion size was amazing and the wrap was past delicious. It was crispy chicken, pepper jack cheese with curly fries, and bar-b-que sauce. We hung out and enjoyed our food. But wait let's not forget the deserts. I tried the homemade chocolate chip cookie which was superb. They also had cupcakes and Rice Krispie treats which looked just as delicious.

This place is pretty good. We ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage with light cheese. Sorry there's no photo we ate it. I would highly recommend this place. If you're visiting Cal poly San Luis Obispo great place for breakfast lunch and dinner have to come here again.

Came here for a water polo team lunch, and it really didn't disappoint compared to the other location in Pismo when it comes to service, atmosphere, and pricing. I had the Pismo wrap, and it was good. Tri-tip with fries, avocado, and BBQ sauce, but this had a bit too much. The guy at the counter was nice when he told me I couldn't have the sauce on the side and suggested to order light sauce, but it seemed like they went heavy on the sauce. This is the only reason they lost a star. Otherwise, reasonably priced, especially $2 Red Stripes! The Clam Chowder, club sandwich and Big Italian were all tasty.

Ambiance: we were digging the vibe and decorations. Everything about this place was pleasing to the eye, CLEAN, and cute! We loved the VW planter! Service: Super fast service, very friendly and helpful explanations. Food: We came specifically for the chili and the pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was hands down the best pastrami I have had! For me in my personal opinion the chili fell flat, I had super high hopes for it. The texture of the tater tots was on point they were fried to crispy perfection. The seasoned curly fries were good, but those tater tots were perfect. The portion sizes were huge! Would I return? Absolutely for pastrami and tater tots!!

All I have to say is, get ready to EAT! We had the cali cheese steak and the BIG Italian. Both sandwiches were huge with a good serving of curly fries. We also order onion rings and they were so crunchy and delicious with the accompanied ranch sauce. Make sure you get the ranch, it's not your typical bottled sauce. This place was so good we ate lunch here twice for a 3 day trip! Outdoor seating is cool if you have your furry friend with you.

I was on the bus on my way downtown and already had decided on a place to eat with a friend, but as soon as I opened Yelp and saw the size of Hoagies' sandwiches, I knew I had to change my plans. Hoagies is solid sandwich spot right next to the bus stop and a couple of blocks away from the main part of downtown SLO. There's plenty of seating inside with a lot of TVs to keep you entertained. The menu here is very extensive; they have a plethora of wraps and sandwiches to choose from, ranging from the popular chicken Caesar salad wrap to your classic Club sandwich to the Pismo wrap stuffed with tri-tip and fries. They have something for everyone. I ordered the Cuban, which came crammed with sweet juicy pork, salty ham, and a spread of dijon mustard. Now I've had authentic cuban sandwiches before--my great aunt is Cuban and has made my family a killer cubano--and this one tasted pretty close to it. It's also worth mentioning that the portion sizes here are massive. You could easily save one half of your sandwich and curly fries (one of the best fries out there) for a second meal. They also have some sweet treats on display, so I'll have to make my way back to try those...

Ordered the veggie sandwich to go. Drove home to Margarita, opened the container and this is what I got. Are you kidding me? No pickles, no onions, no avocado, no mustard, no balsamic vinaigrette and no cheese. Unbelievable. Called as soon as I got home and call went to voice mail. They were busy so I expected that. This sandwich use to be on my weekly rotation. I teach at the college up the street so always super convenient. Not anymore. Check the box before you leave I guess. Huge disappointment.

Went to Hoagies for the first time yesterday! The interior was beautifully decorated, it was very open and had lots of seating. I ordered the Pismo Wrap with no avocado and added sour cream inside. It was so so so good! Putting fries inside the wrap made it so much better. Extra sauce was not charged and was given! The service was quick and easy. Will go back try other sandwiches as well as their drinks! Pro tip: use sloeats to get bogo sandwiches :)

FIVE STARS!! Dirty Buffalo Burrito is where it's at. Period! Hoagies will forever be my favorite place to grab lunch and/or dinner. Always a staple and go-to. The staff are always friendly and the service is quick.

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

I don't know if it was because of the soccer game or if it's always this busy, but that's usually a good sign. Even with the crowd, our party of six was seated almost immediately. The menu was excellent--not one of those places with ten pages of random items. It was well thought out and made it easy to choose. My wife and I both ordered the jalapeño burger (I can't remember the official name) with a side of tater tots. My son ordered the tuna, my daughter had the chicken tenders, and my nephew and niece both went with the barbecue burger. The food came out surprisingly fast, and then it was time to eat. Wow. This was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. My wife would not stop talking about hers. Her exact words were, "This burger tastes beefy." I'm still not exactly sure what that means, but judging by how fast she finished it, I'd say she absolutely loved it. To top it all off, our amazing waitress surprised my wife with a complimentary cookie sundae for her birthday. I really wish I had caught her name. She had curly hair and glasses, and she was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I was not impressed with their margarita flight but who cares, it was about the food. It really needs the goat cheese though. Otherwise it lacks dimension. I was able to sprinkle on my pieces. Made a world of difference. 4) bee stang: crust had crisp edges. Service here was excellent, we were checked up on enough and our server gave great recommendations. Thanks to our server Talia D! We sat in a cute garden area with vines, plants, and fairy lights, very cozy like you're in a friend's well-decorated patio. They also gave us complementary bread before we received our meal, and a lot of the dishes were unique and plated well. I would come back if I'm ever in the area and would recommend this place to all my friends! All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

Say yes to the menu!!! That's the first thing that came to my mind when I visited Novo in SLO. Once…read moreupon a time, I saw this restaurant be featured on the iconic Check Please, so needless to say the award winning food speaks for itself and I was ready for this experience. I came into Novo with high expectations and my expectations were exceeded. Calamari: Who doesn't want Calamari on the Central Coast, for me it's a must. But can we take a moment to complement the sauces they pair with the calamari. Novo's calamari is paired with a tartar sauce and a sweet chili sauce. Definitely a first experience for me and I was beyond impressed. My taste buds danced because, whoever, is out here making many and flavor pairings for Novo has unlocked a new game mode for me. If you ever are wondering what appetizer to try, this right here is my first recommendation. Blackberry Ginger Cooler: The mocktail was beautiful and also a great pairing. I would love to try their other drinks soon. Matcha Strawberry Trifle: My mom, sisters, and I agreed on this dessert and let me tell you, I'm so glad we did. The matcha trifle had so much goodness to it we spent time trying to guess what flavors were in its profile. Think a berry chantilly from Whole Foods, but with matcha flavor and so fresh! Immediately after finishing my little sister said I had to learn to make this specific dessert and needless to say I don't disagree. It was balanced in sweetness, very light, and a great summer dessert. King Salmon: 2 please! The king salmon comes with Tabbouleh and green beans. This dish was my mom's and she was very pleased. One part of food I enjoy is not just the eating and experience, it's the aspect of reminisce in the flavors, analysis of the cooking, and trying to gauge cooking technique. For this dish, the salmon was perfectly cooked and it is not what we expected in the best way possible. This dish had so many different flavor profiles and wait until you taste the added kick of wasabi. Can I get another round? Korean Short Ribs: When I first saw this on the menu I was struck with asking myself how this dish might taste. It was one of those dishes where I thought, I have had plenty of short rib, I have had kimchi, but I have never seen them on one plate. More than that, I was hesitant as I like kimchi but not my to go to choice, nonetheless, I was drawn to this dish so of course I ordered it. Wow! Was I glad I did. My sister had the same order and we agreed the kimchi had such a nice kick to it. The spare rib was also thinly sliced making this dish easy and yummy. Now don't let that kick of heat scare you, I encourage everyone to try this dish. The rice sort of acts as a contrasting agent to help tone down the flavor and you just have to try it all together. All that said, I think service was awesome, then again SLO is a beautiful heart in California. But seriously we had an awesome waiter who shared with me the history of the restaurant. The story is also on their menu, but Nova's little sister restaurant is Red Luna and the big sister restaurant is Robin's Restaurant in Cambria. So good to know because I can now see how all this deliciousness connects! Big fan of these places and it's great to know they are one family. I don't think I have a favorite sibling of the three, but here's to another 5 stars for the middle child.

A number of venues are here, so drop by, at least for a walk-around. Large kitchen in what would have been an outbuilding, we joined a few other people to make our order. The genuine friendliness from everyone was nice. And the menu was wonderfully different from any other breakfast/lunch place you have been to before. Very cleaver mix of Mexican and traditional entrees, along with a full scale coffee bar that would compete well against any of the commercial brew houses around. KV Lemon Poppyseed Waffle ($15) with real maple syrup, Carnitas Scramble ($16) bowl with three eggs, salsa and feta, Bonetti Bowl ($17) of potato hash and sausage saute topped with 2 eggs, bacon strips, and chipotle aioli and, Biscuits & Gravy ($14) topped with country sausage gravy, 2 over medium eggs and two bacon. Getting the idea? Wife loves lemons and her love was reinforced with the waffle and I just loved the biscuits and gravy, with the sausage dominant. Both breakfasts were loaded with flavor and the freshly brewed coffees topped it all off. We ate inside, as it was chilly outdoors, but there are tables outside on a patio and deck. We will seek Kitchen and Vine out for a return meal and our guess is that the lunches will be just as good as their friendly service. Yum.

Fabulous meal, so delicious. The flavors, the presentation -- off the charts. Lucas K. was the best server. Here, not here, but with perfect timing and in the perfect ratio, know what I mean? Asked the bartender if they had a good stout. He let me taste test the one they had on tap -- Ales Smith Speedway Stout (out of San Diego). Notes of chocolate and coffee.... Oh...sooo good. Went straight to my head. Do you see me complaining? We will MOST definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the service from one particular waitress hasn't matched the quality of the restaurant. Each time we've had her, she's made us feel a bit uncomfortable certain remarks and her unwelcoming attitude. On one visit, we were left unattended for most of our stay and were only able to order appetizers before she disappeared. When she returned, she assumed we were done ordering instead of asking if we wanted anything else. As a business manager I hope the service improves because the food and vibe are definitely worth it.
