Pretty pretty pretty good. This was my second time here. It's in the heart of downtown Oceanside just a block from the beach but also the train station. The train can be a bit disruptive but there's also something awesome about trains. They're patio is very dog friendly! They've got a decent selection of craft beers and the necessary domestic beers to keep everyone happy. According to cicerones bubbles are not supposed to stick to the glass. It's an indication they're not "beer clean". The bubbles stuck like a mother on these cups but I couldn't tell a difference in the taste. For the non beer drinkers they have bloody Mary's and wine. You better like sandwiches if you come here. Their menu is very sandwich heavy but they also have salads and some side items like baked potatoes. The Hobie ordered hot is freaking delish. Pastrami and salami with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, pepperonci, Italian dressing. I opt for no mayo cause this Sammy is juicy enough without. Previously I've ordered the sunburn with chicken and Frank's red hot. It was good. Anytime you combine chicken and Frank's red hot it will be good but it was a mess and a half. This was a knife and fork Sammy. I'd rather skip the bread altogether. Service was friendly. Bathrooms we're clean. read more

Went on a little get away to Oceanside and found this sandwich shop. So yummy! They have amazing sandwiches and the girls working there were very nice and friendly. I was confused by the crowlers and growlers they have in the counter, but sell beer in to go cups. Would have preferred a growler or crowler. Being a local from Oceanside I'm very skeptical of new establishments that pop up. However this place is not some generic tourist trap. Beach hut deli not only puts out a good product but has a laid back local vibe that makes anyone feel like they fit right in! When I'm feeling like a cheat day I'll order a skinny dipper which is a French dip but with thickly sliced meat, cheddar cheese, sauteed onions & mayo. All the sandwiches come in different sizes so you can share or pig out! If I'm feeling healthy I'll get the super salad with quinoa & lots of yummy! They don't have full liquor here but do you really need that with an awesome sandwich & great local beers?! First time coming here and I'm very disappointed I've heard alot of good reviews about this place and I was craving a tuna sandwich so I decided to try it today. I walked it and it was dead maybe 3-4 people sitting down , Specifically ordered a build your own tuna sandwich and told the girl that was taking my order I was really craving it so she kindly took my order. I ordered tuna Sandwich and 2 bags of chips As I was waiting for my order it took them me finishing a whole bag of chips and about 20 min for one sandwich like they were talking and taking their sweet time, on top of that I ordered to go and got home to excitedly eat my sandwich ...I opened the bag and my order was all wrong There's no tuna it was a deli meat and I asked for toasted/melted That wasn't done either ...I am very disappointed. I have given this place two chances now and it's the most poorly run, slowest deli I have ever had the misery of going to. The sandwiches are fine, like a Jersey Mike's level place. Atmosphere is beachy and chill. But so far every time I order they tell you forty five mins. So i order and come back after fifty mins. Each time they had not started the order. Each time it's been an additional thirty minutes. The manager or owner peppers you with curse word laden excuses. Then still moved so slowly. They don't know what they are doing. To get cheese and meat on bread is like stepping into and alternate universe where time stands still but rest assured you will still age at an alarming rate. This place should be six stars, no doubt. The Beach Hut is a Northern California staple, and I've been to locations in South Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, and Fresno. They have all been universally awesome, laid back, great and exciting menu, with a very well procured draft beer list. The Oceanside location is no exception. This is bar none the best Beach Hut location I've ever been to, just a stones throw from Oceanside pier. The interior was immaculate, patio awesome, service exceptional, and food offerings all enticing. My big problem at the Beach Hut is trying to narrow down what it is that I'd like to order, because so many things look incredible. I settled on the La Jolla veggie sandwich which was perfect, avocado, tomato, blue cheese with balsamic on toasted wheat, and it did not disappoint. Paired it with an Alpine Duet, and I was a super happy camper. My wife got the Marley nachos on recommendation of the guy taking our order, and they were to die for. Pepperocini slices, cream cheese, red onions, nacho cheese, avocado, and bacon served generously over tortilla chips. Sounds weird, I know, but I'd order them again in a heartbeat. I'm so glad The Beach Hut made it to San Diego County, and look forward to patronizing this location often! read more

Came here for the first time with a buddy after a relatively long bike ride. In other words, I was starving and, if required, would do anything for food at that point. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, which comes open face, and a tall Coors Light (yeah, I know Coor's Light, but it was hot day and we were on bikes so it was perfect). My buddy claimed they only serve beers in liters. Whether he was lying to me or not, I still opted for the giant beer mug. Anyways, back to the food. As I mentioned, I was starving and - sure - I would have eaten almost anything. BUT I honestly can say that this sandwich was simply amazing. A righteous Sandwich joint in Oceanside! This place has a killer menu with some of the best sandwiches in Oceanside! Sooo many to choose from! My girlfriend and I got the North Shore and the Pig Kahuna. The North shore was stacked with meat and toppings, you will get full off a regular size sandwich without a doubt! The pig Kahuna had some delicious pulled pork and the Bread is just perfect! The staff was friendly and got it out to us in no time! Okay. We love living in O-side and really try supporting new and upcoming places. I know this place is a chain, but it's right downtown, so I decided to give it a try. The reviews looked okay and the pics of food looked pretty good. The first time I tried, I thought it was pretty good. Not amazing, but definitely a place I'd return to. The second time, unfortunately not so great. It was a weekday around 3ish. Not busy at all. Only myself, and two other who were already eating. One young lady at taking order, one gentleman making sandwiches. I ordered a turkey w/ provolone, and avocado. No pickles or pepperoncinis, and lots and lots of onion and lettuce. That's it. My order was so fast, I couldn't believe it. When I took my bag, the guy told me to wait because he forgot to add avocado. Whew, good thing. I would have been a bit upset, if I got home and didn't have avocado after paying for it. About 10 minutes later (live about a mile and half away), ready to indulge in my meal, the first thing I notice is that it is completely soggy. Not sure why because it wasn't last time. I try to overlook it and begin to eat. Eewwhh. I stop and open up. Full of pickles and pepperoncinis, and barely any onions and lettuce. Seriously? Why? It was one order. I was the only customer. Now, unfortunately this is going to leave a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively). I would really like to come back, especially since we have so much company and it's right at the beach. Wow! That's all I can say! Beach Hut Deli was located across the street from my Hotel (Spring Hill Suites) so I thought I would check it out for dinner as I'd read some positive reviews here on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised to find it totally lived up to all the hype! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was AMAZING. I ordered The Woody, loaded with roast beef, melted cheese, mayo, barbecue, cream cheese, and all the fixin's, then added some more hot sauce on top. I'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs and their Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. This--dare I say it-- actually stands above that! The ingredients were all fresh, the bread delicious, and everything melted together to create one heck of a sandwich. My only problem now is I want to try everything else on the menu but am only in town for two days... :( Maybe they'll ship to Washington, DC?? Awesome little sandwich spot. I moved down to Oceanside and have been dying to find a solid little sandwich place/deli. This might be it. Although it isn't exactly what I think of when I see "deli", they make sandwiches so I don't care. Nothing super special as far as creative sandwiches but that's right up my alley. Most of them are pretty close to traditional sandwiches you would see at any other place, with some variations and the addition of cream cheese on a few of them. I got the Surfin Bird (Turkey, bacon, avo, +cream cheese) and it was great. I would probably go without the cream cheese next time but it wasn't bad by any means. Great amount of Turkey, cruchy, real bacon, and they didn't jip on the avocado. I will absolutely be returning to try some others. read more

Within walking distance of both the Pier and the Regal Theatre- BHD is the perfect weekend lunch spot. The friendly staff and fast service round this place out nicely.
