I came for breakfast but I remember their fish was pretty good from the last visit. So I got both! I love that they offer "half portions", so I got a 1 piece Fish & Chips, and a half order of Eggs Benedict (1 egg with house potatoes). Everything was excellent. For the five of us, the total came to $109, which is outstanding considering we ordered six entrees. Prices are great for what you get. Service was nice too. Can't be it. read more

Sometimes you just want a good sit down type of breakfast! So I ended up at Grandma's Restaurant! Got the corned beef hash & eggs. Asked for the hash browns to be extra crispy. The portion was good enough for me to make it two meals, since I usually don't splurge too much on breakfast. Definitely would come back to try the other items on the menu! Pros: Foodserver is very nice, funny, happy, works HARD and takes an accurate order. Food is aesthetically pleasing. Bathroom was clean. Cook makes food EXACTLY how ordered. Cons: Steak was COMPLETELY inedible. Usually I am cursed with the gristlely steak. This was my boyfriend's turn. I have NEVER seen him have to spit bites out into his napkin before. He could not find one edible bite, sadly. (Steak and eggs.) My pancake sandwich had no flavor. Pancakes were blah. I didn't even take the leftover home. And I generally LOVE pancakes. We were never checked on, (server was working alone and busy, so I understand.) Indifferent: We didn't notice anything scream 'Grandma'. Unclear of the name. Seems to have a good patronage. That was quite some time ago, but even though they have changed locations the quality of food is still top tier. Great home cooking. My husband and I stopped in here for breakfast while visiting the area. It is a small little place that has indoor and outdoor seating. We got greeted right when we walked in. Our server was super friendly. It has a small town friendly feeling to it. We ordered the spinach surprise omelette and the vegetarian omelette. Our omelettes came with potatoes and toast. They let me substitute a pancake for my toast. There was a lot of food and the prices were very reasonable. All of the food came out hot and fresh and very tasty. Great food amazing service. Very kid friendly and make cool versions of the food to peak their interest. Potatos are fresh not frozen bulk stuff from Sysco or US Foods. And the coffee can be drank black because it actually has flavor and isn't super acidic. read more

The bacon cheeseburger w/onion rings were really good. The restaurant has been there for 45 years! My dining partners had the breaded tenderloin. Hit this place on a Sunday morning. Servers are on top of things, good service and ready with more coffee at all times. I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy with sunny side up eggs. We came to this restaurant for the pork tenderloin sandwich (Midwest specialty) and my SO said it was the best version he had locally (he was born and raised a Midwestern). Only diff, according to him, was instead of using a special machine to flatten it into a large circle, it was butterfly cut into more of an oblong. But the thickness and taste were spot on. I had the garlic burger and house made chips. This burger was borderline gourmet. Whoever is cooking absolutely knows his stuff. Perfect burger to bun ratio. The chips were fresh and crunchy. Had to add a little salt but not an issue really. And all the food was very fresh, from the entrees and sides to the condiments. My omelet was good but not much bacon despite substituting sausage for more /and at 18.95. Friend chose biscuits and gravy and said it tasted " doughy". It wasn't good. The service was fine, there was outdoor and indoor options, but for the price it just left us unimpressed sorry to say. 25$ plus tip for omelet and cup of regular coffee If an ocean view instead of a parking lot, I might justify some of this but I think menu was too much, too confusing, and nothing that really stood out being special. We used to go to the breakfast club every now-and-then, until the owner closed shop and moved to Arizona, and since then, we have been looking for a place that offered that home-cooked feel and taste. I had heard and seen of grandma's restaurant, since we also go to Felix's and Big Bob's pizza so it was time to give Grandma's a try with hope this establishment will be our new breakfast and maybe lunch spot when we don't feel like cooking. What a gem!! With all that said, we have officially made this spot our go-to definitely for breakfast. I didn't think anything more of this and ordered and ate my meal. After I paid, I went to use the ladies bathroom and there was still no toilet paper in there.
