3 1/2 stars really, but I'll round up because I'm feeling generous. Decent pizza, but inconsistent as of late has made me second guess. Last couple of times I ordered, the cheese on the pizza has been anemic. And one time I ordered extra cheese, and it was what most good mom and pops put on a normal pie. Their steak and cheese pie is definitely my favorite pizza on their menu. It's unique. They sub a cheesy romano sauce in place of marinara and slather the pie with fresh spinach after it's cooked which somehow works. Definitely worth ordering if you're up to try something different. The wings are usually pretty good too,but make sure you ask for them extra crispy because they have a tendency to get soggy to go. The deli stromboli was also different, and was like eating an Italian hoagie in a hot pocket served with mustard. Overall, if they could improve on consistency, this would be an easy 4 stars. Our last night on vacation at Redington, my wife and I ordered a Mediterranean pizza (with chicken) from the Gulf Boulevard location. The delivery was right on time and the pizza was totally delightful in all features (crust, sauce, toppings, flavor...). What can I say? We order from this location quite often. It's usually wings, extra crispy, with ranch. Every time we order the wings come very crispy, with plenty of sauce, and the ranch is the best around. Only once have I had a situation where the wings weren't what we ordered. I made that dreaded call to the manager, which I didn't want to do, and informed them. After that, wing showed up at my door in 15 minutes. I cannot say enough good things about this location, and the chain. Their wings and ranch and pizza or some of the best around. I highly recommend ordering from here! read more

Difficult to rate. Ordered to-go the same Beach combo pizza 3 times: 1st 2 were good with a great crust. The 3rd (when we had guests) was awful. I was embarrassed. The crust was limp, the pizza cold and not fresh tasting. We picked it up when they said it would be ready. I wonder if the person taking our order over-estimated the time, but even if that's true, it's still a big failure on their part. First 2 pizzas were 4.5 stars, but the 3rd brought it to 3 stars. We'll probably give it one more try. No, I didn't contact the restaurant because they closed shortly after we picked it up and we had guests. read more

Pizza is ok. Being from the Philly/Jersey area I'd give it a 6/10. Sometimes it's seriously lacking cheese, so a few times I've paid for extra cheese and it's so much it's sliding off the pizza. Kudos on actually giving extra, but a happy medium (a regular amount of cheese regularly) would be great. I've had several good experiences with them, but recently a pizza with a side of "Texas cheese fries" was way less than satisfactory. I literally received around ten fries (not steak fries, the regular ones) smothered in cheese. It was all cheese. And no bacon at all. I called the order in at 9 and they close at 10,so I'm guessing they had staff that didn't want to cook new bacon or open a new bag of fries... so they passed this off. It's a rectifiable situation, but tonight when I called to order a pizza I told "Kelly" about my experience TWO NIGHTS AGO and she told me there was nothing she could do. I ordered wings, French fries, pizza, ranch dressing, and garlic knots. The food is amazing all of it. The wings were cooked to perfection I ordered them crispy. The ranch is perfect. You know the kind you order and think you wish you had the recipe. Ranch lovers know what I am talking about. My only complaints are when I ordered I realized that I wouldn't be able to pick the food up for an hour and a half. I know.... why did I call and order. I was with family watching the sunset and didn't realize how long we had until the sun actually set. I called back immediately and spoke to the same person who took my order. I explained the situation and asked her to hold on placing the order for about an hour. I know having worked in restaurants that my order couldn't have been started due to I called back in less than two minutes. The order was never held back so when we got the food albeit delicious the food was cold - really cold. Also, a small fry is really small. Will feed one person. 3 orders in 3 weeks. First night they sent the wrong pizza. They gave me a credit on the next order. Okay, mistakes happen. Second order was okay, but a long wait for delivery, but glad they're busy. 3rd order got subs. Mine was an Italian cold cut. plenty of lettuce,very little meat. Was very surprised to see Mayo squeeze out on every bite. No where in America do they put Mayo on an Italian sub, unless u ask for it that way. I watched the interaction between one to many coworkers, 10 minutes in not one person washed there hands - no sanitizer. Anything is good here. Pizza and full menu with fabulous cheeseburgers, and buffalo shrimp. Pasta salad is so good. Across the street from the beach on Gulf Blvd, this tiny spot is fabulous! We've eaten here for as long as we've been coming to our condo (decades)... the last few times the order has been wrong (EGGPLANT not CHICKEN?!) and they want me to bring back the wrong order and get the correct one... ew... I tip at least 45% to the driver even though it's LITERALLY across the street and have been super disappointed in their customer service... what are you going to do with the wrong order? Why did I wait an hour to receive the wrong order? Why would I wait another hour for what I already waited an hour for?! Super sad because when it's right it's pretty good but I can't deal with that anymore... so yeah... if you eat there or pick it up and can check it, it'll probably be okay... I eat here 1-2 times a week. Pizza is excellent, as are the wings, antipasto salad and especially the stromboli. Prices for slices are great. The girls up front are always courteous (with the exception of one sourpuss). I recommend the steak stromboli and honey buffalo wings. Edit: They don't appreciate regulars. What has happened to this restaurant ?? New owners? New managers? We have been loyal Beach Pizza fans and customers for YEARS!!! We always ordered the "Beach Special pizza" and LOVED it. Delivery staff has always been very polite and responsible. We recommended them to everyone. On October 13, we celebrated our first night back to the beach house with a "Beach Special pizza" from the Madeira Beach - Redington location. It was inedible. It was burnt, had about a third of the usual ingredients, and cold. Literally, we could not eat it! My husband immediately called the store to discuss it, and apparently they told him to bug off. Didn't care. I contacted them by email that night and again a day later, asking them to please call us. We have never received a call or an email from them. The pizza here is quite good, not particularly fancy, but that's the way I like it. The wings are very good as well, but I'm no connoisseur. What's surprising is the burgers! (and fries!) I had been going there for years and never thought of getting anything but pizza. Then, one night, bored of pizza, I ventured over to the other side of the menu. Toasted bun, plenty of fresh lettuce, tomato, and what look/tastes like gourmet pickles and a nice big beef burger. The fries are tasty and the price is sweet. I'm not sure why so many people have had issues with the service. I've been to this location several times and fortunately haven't had an issue with bad or slow service. The pizza always comes out hot and fresh, so it's worth the extra few minutes it takes as opposed to getting it immediately from somewhere like Sbarro. As far as beachside pizzeria go, Beach Pizza Plus has the best tasting pizza you're going to find. It's "New York Style" but with a sweeter sauce and thicker, chewier crust than most other places. Even my friends from New York enjoyed it, though they weren't ready to admit it was better than what they could get at home, go figure! The fact that you can get two slices and a drink for $3.99 doesn't hurt at all either. The only downside to this location is that it's right next to the high school beach hang out, so chances are good that you will be swarmed by loud high schoolers in sandy bathing suits. I agree that you're better off taking this home. So order a pizza or maybe a nice big calzone and enjoy it at home! read more
