I discovered this gem of a bar & restaurant called KT TOUCH * Food & Drinks . KT TOUCH is a bar that offers local seafood dishes, as well as chicken and pork and of course, they have a full bar available to make any drink possible. Being they appear to be heavily influenced by the Santo Dominican culture, they also carry mamajuana and it's pretty solid! I recommend giving it a shot! You can see KT TOUCH from the road and it basically just appears to be a shack with a small canopy seating area and a separate kitchen. They also have porta*potties behind the bar area. The service is friendly, but there is often a slight language barrier because the wait-staff is proficient in Spanish; but they know enough English to take orders and it's definitely not a dealbreaker. Parking is simple & easy to access and it doesn't seem too crowded during my visit. I love the Latin vibes with the music playlist and the ambiance had me feeling like I was in some bar on the side of the road in the Dominican Republic Food was tasty and seasoned well. I recommend their fish plates and I highly recommend their sancocho (a hearty soup that's packed with goodness and great for sobering up). Sancocho isn't easy to find on island, so it makes this place a gem and easy to access. Overall, I really liked KT TOUCH Food & Drinks and the only thing that's a slight bother are the mosquitos in their open-patio seating, but that's really just part of island life I recommend checking this spot out!

The chicken with rice and beans is seriously one of the best meals you will ever have. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and super satisfying. Every bite was amazing. The drinks are also top-notch -- super refreshing and strong in all the right ways. The atmosphere is full of energy with loud music and a fun local vibe that really makes the experience special. If you're in St. Croix, you have to try KT Touch. Incredible food, great drinks, and an unforgettable island vibe. We'll be dreaming about that chicken and rice until we can come back!

His specialty of smoked chicken has just the right amount of spice for me. My wife's lobster roll was freshly made from scratch and perfectly seasoned. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Everything is made fresh to order and may take a little time. But it will be brought to your table after a generous serving of chili that can compete with any on the main land. While you wait, enjoy a Painkiller. This is another specialty that can now be bought by the gallon and brought home. The location is right off of the main road, but you wouldn't necessarily notice except when a truck drives by. His friendly dogs will keep you company and are always protecting you from local wildlife. Coco Jim's is a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting St. John. We plan one more visit before our vacation has ended.

He offered to take a photo of us together & even gave us a free t-shirt. I also appreciate his honesty - He told us that the smoked chicken entree was good enough for two. It was, indeed, good enough for two! That saved us some money & from creating unnecessary food waste. I would recommend skipping some of the other tourist traps on the island & heading straight for Coco Jim's for lunch instead. Tell him Rachel from Providence sent you!

My burger was juicy and had that deliciously bbq charred flavor. I asked for extra caramelizad onions thinking they were just grilled onions. I got a mountain of sweet, seasoned glazed onions. The bread was soft and perfectly sized for the monstrous burger. Now the meat, it was definitely hand crafted and seasoned. The house sauces perfectly complimented the burger, what appeared to be some type of aioli sauce and a herb sauce. As a local who lives on the Island part time this is my go to spot for a quick deliciously made meal. Another thing I tried was the Chicken Papi pincho (skewer), the meat was fall off the stick tender, juicy and seasoned to perfection. It was accompanied by a giant toston (fried plantain). For starters it cannot be beat. The atmosphere is not fine dining but for me it is just perfect. Great little spot under a few white tents in a lot. Plenty of parking and stores in the same street. Sharing the lot is the best froyo on the island. So there you have it, a fine damn burger and delicious fresh froyo! That can't be topped. Service was spectacular I might add. The gentleman serving me was sweet and attentive. So sorry I forgot his name, I know he was an employee, not the owner. We talked a bit while I ate and he made my experience perfect in every way. Thank you!

Some in our crew had the chicken burrito- it was large and we kept some to eat as a snack the next day. We agreed that it was yummy. The pinchos were (was?) so delicious- we only got one stick and we agreed that we should have split entrees and ordered more. My children got quesadillas and they were yummy- both chicken and beef. The meat sandwich (forget what it was called- sort of a cheesesteak) also got rave reviews. We did not order burgers but were told by someone else that they were delicious. Most in our crew wanted to return for a second meal on day two, but were informed by the person driving the car (who was therefore the final decision maker) that we needed to try a few more places before we do repeats. Sigh.
