Our host with Beach Time Rentals was professional, friendly and prompt in any response to any of our questions. The property was clean and stocked with anything we may have needed. I was a customer of this vacation rental company for five years, with a solid track record of renting for long stays (a month each time) and leaving properties in excellent condition. I even accepted them telling me a month before my stay last year that the rental home they had assured me had suffered NO hurricane damage had actually failed inspection and instead, I either had to accept a different property several miles away or give up my reservation entirely. What a disappointment to communicate to them recently, with almost THREE months notice, I needed to adjust my reservation length due to family issues and receive a very harsh response that led me to cancel my entire month-long stay, knowingly losing my deposit. I will never rent through this company again. I advise you to re-think your options if you are considering them, too. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had with a rental company in my entire life. I would recommend to not ever book with Beach Time Rentals - my customer service experience was absolutely horrible and I can't put into words how awful it was to deal with them. I inquired with Beach Time Rentals directly through their website for a house rental. After receiving their contract I noted they required check or cash payment for the final payment. I preferred to use credit card to get points and frankly, more security as I've never heard of this small establishment. Given this, we chose not to book with beach time rentals. I went on VRBO looking for a house for the same weekend and found a home. I did not see that it was managed by Beach Time Rentals, but turns out it was. OK no problem - I'm booking through VRBO. It turns out their payment policy remains the same, which is fine even though VRBO told me not to pay BTR via cash or check as we can pay credit card. After quite a bit of misinformation from VRBO it turns out they can request cash or check for payment - fine. We will pay that way. However, Heidi from Beach Time Rentals had offered me a full refund if I told her I was cancelling by 12 PM the following day. I accepted thinking, I've already had a questionable experience with this company and frankly they have been difficult to deal with, I'll take her offer which I thought was a kind gesture. Beach Time Rentals then withdrew their offer to give me a full refund and used my acceptance of their offer to cancel my reservation. They cancelled my reservation, kept my $1100 deposit, and refused to communicate with us any longer. If that doesn't sound wrong to you, I don't know what does. Unfortunately I have no recourse through VRBO or our credit card company because Beach Time Rentals has used our "request for cancellation" based on *their offer* as validation to cancel, even though we only requested to cancel based on their offer and I said numerous times "Please do not cancel if you are not honoring your offer of giving a refund". I have never experienced such horrible customer services or questionable business practices. PLEASE do yourself a favor and rent from another company if you are looking for a short term rental. Honestly the last thing I wanted to do is write negative reviews, but we gave the business every opportunity to do the right thing and give us a refund. We even stated we would accept a credit towards a future stay but they have no interest of making this right. After reporting them to the BBB, this is our only recourse at this point. read more

We spent the first 2 weeks on Clearwater Beach at 15 Glendale. The 2-bedroom rental on the fifth floor was perfect! We overlooked the Beach & had front-row seats for Sunsets! We rented through BTR on Clearwater Beach. Great clear communication, courteous employees. Check-in was easy, they provided 24 hr support in case of any issues. They have been responsive and attentive to our requests. The property was clean and well mantained, close to secluded beach and within walking distance to main tourist area. their prices competitive. will rent through them again. read more

We had a reservation 9/28/22 for 5 nights. With hurricane Ian, flights were canceled and the Florida governor declared an emergency. BeachTime Rentals will only reimburse for 2 nights because that is what the evacuation was ordered. Beware renting from BeachTimeRentals!! read more

We booked our place with Beach Time Rentals through VRBO. The home got nice reviews on the VRBO sight, but I wish I had done a little more digging prior to booking about this management group. Before we arrived, we had to make our final payment. They state that they will not accept a credit card for this payment, which is very strange to me. After much persuasion, they did allow me to pay with my credit card plus an additional fee. I was willing to pay it because to me it was most secure and easiest. We also wanted our pool heated and willingly paid the fee ($140.00) to have it as we had very eager kids who were excited to swim. The house was in the most perfect location and was very nice, well appointed and clean. We had a couple of issues: One of the toilets didn't flush and the washer leaked. We also realized the pool was very cold. They sent someone to look at the toilet, but he said he wasn't the right person for the washer (which was fine by us as it was reported). When we asked about the pool heat, we were told that the heat was turned on and the reason it wouldn't heat was because it was too cold outside. The highs were in the 70's and lows in the 60's, which is hardly cold out, but cold enough that we wanted the water to be warm. You also have to understand that this is what they call a cocktail pool, about the size of a large hot tub at a resort. It's TINY!! We asked the couple who live in the same gated community right across from us with a pool at least 5 times the size of ours if their pool was warm, they said yes. They also told us they lived there and it was not a rental for them, but that the heater for our pool should not be having issues to heat. The management company sent a text message that showed a picture of the pool heater with the heat on as proof. We purchased a thermometer and put it in the pool to show them what the temp was (71 degrees) and that's when they fired back about it being too cold out and there was nothing they could do. We uncovered the mechanics of the pool heater and it read "Gas heater is off. Press pool or Spa". We realized that this was why the pool was cold and why they would not come out to look at it. They knew all along. They turned the heat on, took a picture of it as proof, then turned it back off. We didn't say anything more for fear that they would falsely find reasons to charge us fees after checkout. No one was able to swim though which was a huge disappointment. For me it's less about the money as it is about their dishonest way of conducting business. I wanted to write a fabulous review, but I couldn't. For all you others that claim to have had charges upon checkout, I can see them doing that. It's disappointing that they would knowingly do this and lie about it. read more

Horrible place to stay... my friends and I have all stay there for four days during and during those four days no heat was supplied to the hot tub, the owner made surprise visits, and even walk through the house without our consent or knowledge. Then come to find out after we left they charged us $500 claiming we smoked in the house... The owner said the smell was so bad he had to scrub the walls. NO ONE smoked in that house period!!! This is just another way to scam people out of there money.... Also come to find out in Clearwater Florida you can only do 1 month rentals and these people are doing weekly rentals which is not allowed. So what else are they cheating on! We rented a property form Beachtime Rentals while attending a firefighters conference in November of 2019. At first everything was great. The accommodations were right across the street form where the conference was being held, so it was very convenient. The trouble started after we checked out and 5 days later received a email that said we had violated the contract by having pets in the apartment. Problem was, we never traveled with any pets. NO one in the party did. They claimed that pet hair was everywhere in the apartment. I asked them to provide me the footage from the security cameras on the front and back doors. Surely, if we had taken a pet in the apartment then over a span of 6 days there would have to be evidence of it coming in or our in that time. They sent us on video in which a member of the party, who is a photographer was carrying her camera bag, and they claimed that she had a pet stuffing in the bag. They charged a $350.00 deep cleaning fee to my credit card that I have turned in as fraudulent charges. They refused to explain or provide proof of the pet, and I questioned who may have been able to have access to the apartment after we left. We left on a Tuesday, and they sent me the notice on Sunday night that they were charging my card another $350.00. These people are scam artist. Do not stay at a Beachtime Rental Property!!! read more

My parents rented a house through Beach Time Rentals for a vacation at the end of this month (May 2020). They booked the end of December and paid their deposit. In full disclosure, the paperwork said there would be no refunds. However - my dad was diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer in mid February and passed before February ended. I called to try to cancel the reservation and see if there was any way they would do any sort of refund, even if not fully, given the circumstances. They REFUSED to do ANYTHING other than the $85 fee reimbursement. There was zero compassion, sympathy, or just any general human concern for what our family had just gone through. This was before Covid-19 was prevalent and I find it hard to believe they would have had any issues finding another reservation in our place to make up for losing ours. Bottom line, we will NEVER use this rental company for ANY vacation and we will be telling everyone we know that they are only concerned with money, not their actual customers. read more

Company is very professional. Had a minor dispute with them. We worked it out and came to a resolution. The Bella Beach house we rented was beautiful and is a great location. Just beware of owner he lives close and shows up unannounced. read more

We stayed at the house in Clearwater Beach and it was gorgeous! We had a great time and loved the private pool.
