Talk about a waste of money. My friend and I went down the multiple bars on the boardwalk. We decided on making a stop at the Beachcomber. What a let down. We ordered two beers from the bartender wearing a terrible Batman shirt " be yourself unless you're Batman , then be batman" something ridiculous like that. My friend put on some cool music on the jukebox to liven up the place. And quickly the bartender threated to skip our song if the customers started leaving. He basically made us not feel welcome or wanted. We just spent money on drinks and the jukebox just for a terrible experience. My friend told him to skip it. It's ridiculous. This bartender is a bully and that's why nobody wants to be there. He obviously does not have regulars and that does not surprise me. I wish he was Batman but since, he's not he can keep the BeachCOMA to himself. PS why would anyone eat sushi here. Yikes. read more

Beachcomber!!!! Yes I am obsessed with this place! Why? Because it literally has everything. Seafood, sushi, pizza, fried food, sandwiches you name it! I love the sushi, it is literally melt in your mouth good. Pizza is decent, and my mom is obsessed with the king crab legs (the price for these are a bargain) Drink prices here are also highly reasonable. The bartenders and very nice an quick with serving. There are quite a few different bars inside spread throughout this establishment. They also have a patio upstairs with another bar and usually they have a DJ playing. On the weekends you can find a bunch of people dancing around on the rooftop. Downstairs they usually have live bands playing. Me personally...I love coming here on Saturdays at 3pm during the summer to watch The Flying Mueller brothers play! True beach band that really knows how to get the party started! I'm not going to lie... I totally came in here because Snookie got punched here. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a "Jersey Shore" fan so I had to check it out. The place was super packed when we went and there was a pretty decent band playing. Their music was a mix of R&B oldies to alternative rock. Everybody looked like they were having a good time. We were kind of confused where to go since we'd never been here before. First we sat close to the back at a table but never got service. Since we wanted Sushi, we moved over to the sushi bar. We ordered our food straight from there. Our Drinks we had to order at the bar since no waitress came over to us. We ordered a plate of Edamame and a few different rolls. The prices seemed really fair and the food was pretty decent for being a Bar in the middle of Seaside Heights. The atmosphere was fun and that's what makes this place enjoyable. I have been to the Beachcomber for many years when it's been on either side of the boardwalk and now in its forever spot. It's always been about a live band and alcohol at this place. Having the second floor really gives it a nice addition. A couple of drinks, good music, and a beach breeze is all you need sometimes. A restaurant with a large assortment of foods by the shore. It's an open seating area so you can still enjoy the sun and breeze outside. No AC, but the shade is good. Old leathery booths for seating. The place isn't the cleanest but I guess that's what happens when it's an open place by the sea with people trecking in sand and boardwalk dirt. Food was OK. Nothing special, this place had choices from sushi to cheesesteak. They have come combo meals that you can get a few bucks off instead of buying the items separately. No free refills on drinks. I had the cheesesteak-it was OK-not the best I've had on the boardwalk. Came with onions and peppers. Bun wasn't toasted but I guess you can ask them to toast it for you. My friends got sushi. It was OK. Didn't seem like the freshiest of the bunch but decent tasting. From what I experienced, there was no wait staff. You order at the counter and you clean up yourself. If I could give no stars, I would. I have been here dozens of times in the last two years. I can get past the plastic cups for $6 draft beers. I can get past the horribly disgusting bathrooms (ok I can't - I go elsewhere to use a restroom). What I cannot get past is having a bartender call me and my family names. And this should be handled by a manager. Not someone who comes out at says that he cannot address the issue because he is not a bar manager. Bar issue? Send the bar manager. Scene: we are sitting at the end of the bar. The bartender is difficult to flag down because she spends a lot of time chatting with her non-ordering customers. She is offended when we tell her not to clear the cash from the bar (had paid for drinks, left enough on the bar to get more rounds). She then refuses to come back to our side. When people next to us close out, she again takes our money pile. She then proceeds to call us names as she walked away and then proceeded to talk smack to other customers. Where is the manager? No one can find him. Instead, the owner/bar manager sends his very polite son who admittedly can not address the situation. Again - he was great. Super polite. But if you can't address a situation, then niceties aren't sufficient. If you don't mind being called curse words because you tell the bartender not to steal your money, this is the place for you. If only those walls could talk! The Beachcomber in Seaside Heights is everything that comes to mind when you think all thought of summer on the boardwalk. It is loud and crowded and not overly clean. The bathroom walls are sticky and there seem to be a lot of drunk people walking in and out. On the other hand, they have a roof top bar, which is a great spot in the evening. They have live music, great pizza and french fries, AND a large open concept which provides an endless stream of people watching. While I sat there eating an eggplant parm sandwich (pretty good, not great). I watched two men in their 50's dressed as patriotic cowboys, hit on girls that could not have been older than 25. While right next to them, a couple, with two babies in a stroller table side, munched on pizza. Understand all of this before you commit and your are very likely to have a good time. my boyfriend and I decided to go here one night since we heard it was a cool nightlife spot with an open air rooftop dance floor and bar when we first walked up, there was this heavyset girl laying on the ground clutching at one of the bouncers ankles whilst he tried fighting off one of her friends. we waited off to the side for that to end so we could show our IDs and simply enter the place. the music was alright so we were dancing some. However, the whole time I kept getting approached by men, making suggestive comments or just standing off to the side leering at me and trying to make eye contact. when I would try to get away from it, go to the bathroom or something, they would catcall me too. this all was happening directly in front of the DJ stand, with at least two other bouncers hanging around nearby. Although, one of them was getting high laying on a bench in a corner, and didn't seem aware of much going on anyway lol when we decided to just go to the first floor, a group of about 3 men who had been giving me trouble earlier with the comments/catcalling actually FOLLOWED US. my boyfriend nicely asked then to leave me alone, and they took that as a personal affront and wanted to start physically fighting him. They got worked up enough and kept making increasingly violent threats that my boyfriend talked to a police officer on the way home because he was worried about his safety. This happened on the first level, in front of at least 3 bouncers. As these guys were making threats at my boyfriend, I felt something wet hit my shoulder and a small object go sailing past my head. Sure enough, there were some people on the rooftop area THROWING GARBAGE at us - half empty plastic cups with booze, beer bottles, cans - and some unknown liquid got poured on my head. The security there did nothing, we'd had enough and left. It could be a great place- an open air area overlooking the ocean, but the employees are too busy doing drugs in the corner to make it a safer environment were all this behavior wouldn't be tolerated. read more

I would expect this of a drunk customer or of a 12 year old boy, but not staff. The food is mediocre, some is a win, some is a rip off. The pizza slices are huge so $3.50 isn't that bad. The sausage and peppers is always either drenched in salt or flavorless. The decor is really all over the place but the staff is alright. The bathrooms are really nasty, there's always toilet paper and writing on the walls and none of the stalls lock so you're stuck leaning completely forward while pissing to keep the door closed from someone trying to open it. read more

Terrible place that continues to go downhill. Besides the fact that Yelp doesn't let you give zero stars, they'd get 1 anyways only because the rooftop is nice. But the crowd that comes is terrible, and the bouncers they hire are even worse. All rude and nasty and would find anything to kick you out. It's nice to see them handling problems by knocking people out. Makes you feel very uncomfortable to even be called a bar. There's much better places to go in Seaside. read more

Also witnessed a woman pee with the door open and walk around the ladies room in just her underwear because she was so incoherent. Bar is cash only and service is slow. It's nice that the patio is upstairs but nothing else about this place is worth it. This will now be known as the place snookie got punched in the face. Riding up the boardwalk at night on your cruiser is how we do it. Seeing the new breed of Guidos and Ghettos, it's easy to say this place is a safe haven. Live band kicks ass. So sick of hearing the same pop song played 100 times everywhere you go. Beers is cold and cheap. Service is on point and quick. They own the outside booths next to the walk-up ramp, which is great for sitting outside and having a chill drink and a smoke. Also a great spot to people watch since Steaks Unlimited is right across the street. It can get pretty interesting sometimes with all the characters walking around during the summer. Great spot within steps from the beach. prices are so cheap but its mostly basic , fried food. Pizza is okay. Crab legs are $10. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Stopped by this weekend to support local businesses as we all Phase into the new world with COVID19 restrictions. Very disappointed. The employees are simply not wearing masks or they are wearing them underneath their nose, or they are removing them to talk. In fact our waitress informed our group of 4 that it was all a hoax and she had no intention of wearing a mask. I had written off this place twice before - once for service, a second time for the way security "handled" a drunk female patron. Health violations is a third strike, they're out. Other places on the boardwalk seem to be taking the rules more seriously, so just keep walking. read more

I was here pretty much everyday during my vacation. This is THE place to be on the boardwalk. The upstairs open deck is amazing. You have fabulous views, sun, cool breezes, great music, and ice cold beers. I didn't eat here, so no comment on the food, but it will be my go-to bar the next time I'm in Seaside. Truthfully, I'm not much of a shore guy anymore. I'm not really inclined to throw rings at a lily-pad or "WATCH THE TRAMCAR..WATCH THE TRAM-WATWATWAT WATCH THE TRAMCAR PLEASE". I spent some of my summers as a kid in Wildwood which, if your parents didn't have money, was like Jersey Disney World. As an adult though, I guess the novelty wears off as you find less to do and the draw becomes eating and eating and eating...which I'm more than fine with. The Beachcomber is my go-to and has a bunch of different serving stations and bars inside selling all different things. I always get the crab legs though. $10 gets you a nice sized plate of 'em and $5 for a solo cup-sized mixed drink or $4 for a Corona. The place is a little short of four stars but I rounded up for the food quality and not sticking it to the boardwalkers and tourists with the prices. The layout is pretty free-floating and ambiguous and people tend to walk in confusedly, wondering if they have to sit and order or if they go up themselves. I've seen servers there but only at certain tables so I'm still uncertain about that. Also bands play sporadically and annoyingly loud sometimes in the afternoon. Your best bet service-wise is to pick a station, place your order and then grab a drink from a bar inside. Then retrieve said order, sit at a table top, rinse and repeat. read more

Went here with a group of friends for no other reason than we wanted to go where Snooki got punched :) Maybe during the Jersey Shore height it was the place to be but its kind of this sad bar now where you're more likely to find Snooki's parents hanging out. They did have a cover band that was pretty decent but I can't imagine I'd ever go out of my way to come to this place again. read more
