I didn't eat here but saw the good coming in and out and it looks wonderful. Drinks are good and bartenders are great.

Our service was spotty, as our waitress was new. Or possibly just uneducated on the menu. Either or, she wasn't able to answer a majority of the questions we had. The Lavender Lemonade I ordered was Tito's, lavender infused simple syrup, and a lemon garish- nothing resembling actual lemonade. An overly sweetened vodka cocktail, that was much to strong to drink on its own. On the other hand, my wife enjoyed her Shocktop- how can you go wrong with an on-tap beer. Because we were so hungry, we dug into our appetizers, forgetting to photograph them. Pictured are the BBQ Grill Kissed Wings, while they tasted great upon first bite, we discovered half of our order were raw at their center. Howbeit, my in-laws fancied their crab cake special. Our entrees pictured, arrived with mix reviews. Granted those who ordered the Crispy Flounder Fillet again, favorited their fish dish. My wife noted the seafood in her meal was prepared to perfection, but the undon noodles that accompanied it were much too hard, and had not boiled long enough. My gnocchi were large in shape, and much to heavy, and salty. The live music was this establishment's saving grace. This place is delicious! It's pretty small, but I enjoyed getting away from the noisy beach and boardwalk for a bit. The appetizer salad I had was so crisp and refreshing- and the dried edamame beans on top were unexpected and really brought other flavors out. My chicken dinner was also marinated perfectly and the vegetables tasted very fresh. The tear drop plates everything is shaped on adds to the classy, beach vibe here. It's a bar with food inside the "hotel" building of the White Sands (the building with the lobby that's across the street from the beach). We've been coming here throughout its different incarnations over the years and I think this one will stick. What I would like to see is a little more theming. Not because I love hokey anchors everywhere (although that would certainly be very fitting and I wouldn't complain) but because without any Decor at all, it looks like they haven't committed to being there and it will close or change over (again) any minute. I say this because I don't WANT them to..the food isn't bad at all and it's very nice to have an alternative to Arugula (the OTHER White meat ;-) ahem, White Sands restaurant across the way, Oceanside, who has to start getting their act together a little bit (another story) at least for breakfast/lunch. My other suggestion for Seabase is to better monitor OR not monitor and give up management to the hotel front desk your game area which is actually in the adjacent "courtyard". This area serves as a space for ping pong, an area to sit and eat (but there's signs to not eat?), and also a cocktail hour space (?) when there's a function in the event space across the hall. This area is confused and could be fun...but when we passed this area at night, it was a weird mix of people (not guests of the hotel?) and not a family friendly looking crowd. This is a family friendly hotel. So make it a hotel-run family game area OR a bar-run drinking lounge area. What I will say is you guys make a GREAT mixed drink, some pretty tasty lunches AND the highlight of your place? KATELYN. Promote her. Don't lose her. She's smart, personable and hardworking. You're very lucky to have her and we came back a second time because of her excellent service. PS. Can you work on doing room service/delivery to the room? :) read more

Horrible service! They forgot to add grilled chicken to the house salad which was a small bed of lettuce opened from the grocery store! Old cherry tomatoes, I could've made this home! When we asked for ketchup they also forgot to bring had to ask again, wings suck horrible and old! Burger also tastes disgusting and come with bag of chips instead of fries or salad! Everything sucks! As soon as we were brought to the table it was dirty and of course a lot of flies around! Do not waste your money and time!!! read more

Where the hell do I begin? Stopped in to watch a Giants game ordered a Martini and the bartender Kevin nailed it, mind you I'm very particular about my Martini's. I actually was so impressed that I stayed for an early dinner. I ordered a nice Ribeye and it came out in a timely fashion cooked perfect my hats off to the chef as well.
