We hired Beachfront pools to care for our newly built fiberglass pool in 2022. We used them up until this past June (2026). Paul almost never cleaned or serviced our pool. Two different guys from his company did the cleaning and any maintenance. This past May we went to use the pool and it was filthy. We actually never saw the guy cleaning the pool it just seems like he checked the water. He would throw in our Hayward Shark vacuum and leave. We paid $165 for the basic monthly service then it went up to $175. Almost every other month the bill basically doubled for maintenance like filter cleaning, etc. We were not told of charges beforehand, they would just appear on our monthly bill. We trusted and paid because we wanted to be diligent with the care and upkeep of our pool. The communication was very minimal. So after the charges and negligent service we called Paul and parted ways amiacably. We had also noticed a lot of pooling water around our pool equipment. Our pool equipment is next to the AC unit. When I asked him about it, the guy who was servicing our pool told me he'd checked the equipment and nothing was leaking and that it must be the AC. So after we had cancelled with Beachfront I had my plumber look at the AC. He said the AC was fine and it was clearly the pool heater leaking. Once we hired a new pool serviceman he told us our salt was too high. Then figured out it was our chlorinator that needed replacing. I think it had needed replacing for a while because our automation system had been saying low salt. But Beachfront Pools had just been pouring more salt into it without checking the chlorinator. They were making our pool water way too salty. Apparently the chlorinator needs to be changed often but the heater now needs to be replaced way earlier than it should be. It's only just outside of the warranty windowand it still heats great! Both the new pool serviceman, and the product representative said that the heater is leaking because the pH on our pool water has been off for so long. So now I've not only overpaid Beachfront for years of negligent service but I'm also in over $5000 in repairs because of their negligence. We've been using Beachfront for a little over 2 years. Paul is our point of contact but he's not the one that comes out for the maintenance. Last year, we needed our pool slide scrapped and re-coated as the initial construction of the slide was done poorly. We asked Paul if this is something his company does and he said yes. Tells us he'll send his stone guy to take a look at it. I emphasized that I wanted to use whatever material would last us the longest. He quoted us about $2k. It's steep, but we know Paul and trusted him (or so we thought). It has been a year almost exactly and the coating they did is now peeling. We reach out to Paul about remedying this and he's basically washing his hands of it, saying that he has no affiliation with the person/company he sent out and that he had called his stone guy. I've attached photos of what the slide looked like before, after, and now and part of our conversation where he explicitly stated his workers and not some referred outside company. We paid the invoice sent through Beachfront, not some 3rd party he claims to not be affiliated with. This is not to mention that our pool has had issues with algae for the last 2 months and they claim that it was a pipe leak which we paid for to be fixed and look at the state of our pool now still. I would stay far away from this company. I don't know why they have so many stars but my experience with Paul and Beachfront have been disappointing and expensive. read more

Great Service and Quick Responses We have been using Beachfront Pool Services for almost 2 years now. They are consistent with their service dates and times and they respond quickly whenever we have a question. Most recently, our pump stopped working and they informed us of the problem. They were able to provide a repair the next day. Unfortunately, it was not just the pump, but a short in our breaker box that they found and fixed as well. I first contacted Paul through Yelp and sent some photos and videos of the problem. The pool pump was broken and was making a loud whirring noise. After contacting a couple of other businesses, I decided to go with Paul because he was the cheapest option. California's has newly updated laws about pool pump efficiency - so I would just make sure to ask about this in the future. Mine ended up not being up to standard, but it is what I was willing to pay for at the moment. Paul told me there was a shortage in pool pumps so he had one delivered straight to my house. It came about a week later and someone was there to fix it right away. There was a bit of miscommunication that happened here when I saw a strange man in my backyard replclacing my pool pump without me even letting him!
