First you have to understand that spa covers and their installation are labor intensive. You can't do this yourself. It's sketchy to try to measure and do this online. Jim Nance is amazing. He has been doing this for 35 years so he knows what he is doing. We have a large 10'x20' Catalina Spa that i love. When tops leak they become very heavy. He came out and measured and we paid him half. We replaced our top with Spa Tech and it is beautiful. I can lift it myself and I'm a grandma but I'm ordering the spring shocks to make opening it easier. It took us about 4 or 5 months to get the top. Jim removed the old lid which was huge. I am so happy that I called Jim to help me with my spa repair. I had ordered a replacement part for a broken jet that I could not install myself. I have a 15-year old Sundance Denali spa that has worked like a trouper from day 1. Last week I drained and refilled it, and after all these years - the pump motor just made a whirring sound and nothing happened. I called Jim based on the reviews here, and I'm glad I did. Jim works constantly and takes his calls from the field, so he got back to me as soon as he could in the middle of a job - and was great about communicating. He had me take a few photos of the old pump and text them, and he figured the problem out immediately. He also had a new matching pump in stock already. Jim worked me into his schedule as quickly as he could, which was pretty darned fast. He was friendly, efficient, and had my problem solved in less than an hour. Had an old Charisma Spa that stopped heating. I have two young girls and no hot tub wasn't going to fly for long. I contacted my manufacturer of the heater unit and was referred to Jim. Called at least two other repair guys that just referred me to dead ends. Jim called me back and we scheduled an appointment. He came right on time with a call prior to so I could get home from work. He was upfront about costs and diagnosed my unit in no time. Turned out to be a fried board and he gave me a couple options for repair. I chose what I though best with no pressure. He even came inside and checked out replacement option on the web with me. Jim up spending twice the time he quoted me on, at no fault to him but a factory recommended board that was not a perfect fit. He knew what to do and did it. Honored his original quote even though it took way longer than either of us anticipated. Also got a new Made in the USA Spa Cover ordered through him.
