My recent visit to a well-known chiropractor in Newport Beach had left me reeling. Dr. G is the best!…read more I've been meaning to look for a chiropractor due to my back and poor posture. I had a thorough exam with Dr. G and he was very precise and to the point. During the X-ray, he told me I had mild scoliosis which I never knew. The thing I appreciate about Dr. G is that he'll do the adjustments a little bit each time. I can't imagine going through all those cracks and manipulation like the videos on social media. There's also a therapy room in the back for ice/heat treatment as well as a roller table. They also have an in-house massage therapist. Everyone is really friendly and I enjoy coming here for my sessions.

If you are a car accident or personal injury patient treating on a lien basis, my experience was…read morethat this place felt, in my opinion, like a treatment mill focused on pushing as many different modalities as possible, whether they were discussed with me in advance or not. When I declined certain treatments, such as acupuncture or additional injections, the coordinator, Tatiana McClure, sent defamatory emails about me to my attorney labeling me as an "uncooperative" and "wishy washy" patient. In a recent email she complained that I am continuing to "dictate my own treatment" because I simply wanted to stagger PT, decompression, and chiropractic treatment across multiple days due to time constraints in my schedule. The overall communication here was awful. Conversations had with the treatment staff or the front desk got distorted and passed along to Tatiana, who then further distorted and outright fabricated details and passed it along to my attorney's office, which then put me in a difficult position with them having to explain and clarify what really happened. For example, I declined to sign the chiropractic waiver because I am not comfortable with having my neck manipulated. I did, however, tell them that I am not against chiropractic treatments entirely, and would like to have them done excluding neck manipulation. This, of course, was classified as a "refusal" and communicated to my attorney as such. Eventually, when I did start chiropractic treatment, my neck was adjusted anyways. I didn't say anything to avoid further friction, but this is another example of the poor communication here. I will note that the chiropractor, Dr. Tanner, was nice and knowledgeable and this is in no way a critique of him personally. A side note regarding physical therapy here: the environment is extremely unprofessional, with the staff constantly talking among each other about pop culture, sports, weekend plans, and general gossip while they "treat" patients. I did have a positive experience with Melissa, however, and this is not a critique of her personally. So if you're a car accident or PI patient who is comfortable going through every recommended treatment, and deferring your treatment plan entirely to them without questioning whether each modality is actually helping, I guess this place would suit your needs. But if you want to actually recover and have a voice in your treatment plan without being criticized or guilt-tripped for it, go elsewhere.

But I called today (Friday 4/24 at 3pm), and the receptionist was incredibly rude. I asked if I could make an appointment and gave her my name. She said, "you haven't been here in a while, you'd need to make a new patient appt... and I'm not sure we take your insurance anymore anyway." I asked why I would need to do a new patient appointment (which includes X-rays and is more expensive), and she responded, "uh you haven't been here since 2024." I then asked if that was a policy because I don't remember being told that, and she said, "uh no but it's been 2 years and I don't even know if we take your insurance anymore." So I said okay, can you check if you still take my insurance and I'll make an appointment for a later time. Her response: "the person that checks insurance isn't here but I can take a note." The attitude throughout the entire call was rude and unprofessional. I would understand if this was clearly explained as a policy, but that wasn't the case. I just wanted to come in for an adjustment, but after this interaction, I won't be back.
