Dr Rockenmacher is a life saver! A few weeks ago, I woke up with a pinch in my left lower back and after two visits with another chiropractor it was only getting worse. My fiancee told me to come to Rockenmacher, and I called for an urgent same day appointment. Even though they were closing at noon, he took me for an 11:30 appointment and I didn't leave until after 1pm. Ive been going to Dr. Rock for about 7 yrs. I have always had a bad lower back due to degenerative disc disease and a few car accidents. My pain level varies from low to barely can walk. Dr. Rock always makes it better. I've been going to Dr Rock for almost 2 years now. I used to see a different chiropractor, but I really wanted to find a doctor who specializes in sports medicine. I am a runner, and I lucked out because Dr Rock is a runner too! I feel he completely understands my needs. Earlier this year, I found out my insurance would no longer be covered (they were also giving me a hard time because I wasn't getting "cured") - which I think is unreasonable because I have bulging disc disease (and 5 bulging disks). Dr. Rock has been my chiropractor now for several years and I feel that I am in better form after seeing him. Now that I work out of state, I come back to see him when I am in town. He is very thorough in his explanations and he answers all of my questions about any concern I may have. I drive for most of my days during work and I play basketball on the weekends, so it helps to know how to take care of myself and keep myself straight. I am very active and kind of clumsy. I get hurt often but also with trying to deepen my practice of yoga I get hurt often. Due to a car accident many years ago that didn't heal properly, I've been repeatedly going to a chiropractor again and again. Chiropractors are awesome but having to go again and again and feeling so delicate was frustrating. When I came to Dr. Rockenmacher's office, I assumed it would be a visit like any other chiropractic visit. Not only was Dr. Rock very thorough and assessing my pain/body/history, he adjusted me without the abruptness I was used to in other adjustments. I left and felt great but the biggest WOW factor is that even after 4 visits, I'm feeling really good. I used to have to go 2-3 times a week just to be able to sleep or not have pain. My ribs kept popping out and would so easily. Ever since going to Dr. Rock's for my adjustments, I'm intact. I don't know how this happens but it feels soo good. This chiropractor is hands down the best. I call him magic fingers, though he really throws his whole being into his treatments. His approach is holistic and he has wonderful vitamins and protein drinks/diets that help with overall well-being. I don't know if this is specific to him or to chiropractic, but Dr. Rock fixes me (and others I have recommended) and I stop going for a long time - it's not something I have to pay for week after week. My mom(65 yr old) came to visit us from overseas. She was in some strange pain on her back left lumbar area for the past month. (She took a wrong step in the park a while ago and since then the pain was permanent at her back side). She even thought it was kidney pain but pain went down to her buttocks then down to her leg eventually, it was so intense when she landed in the airport she had to take handful of very strong painkiller despite her medical conditions diabetes etc. At night she was crying in her bed whenever she needed to move from left to right. After 3 days she landed L.A. I start looking for a good doctor and one of my friend in Los Alamitos Dr.Atay immediately referred us to Dr. Rock. ! What a blessing ! I remember how he carefully examined my mom through my translation and found the knuckled up facet in her right side, he find the problem in seconds.We thought it was just Sciatica pain but it was a bad case of Spondylolisthesis. He showed us through body atlas and a spine model where exactly the problem was and what happened to the bones involved. I thought she can not recover from that with her age and bone condition. First sessions were painful she used to scream from the pain that's how tight up her facet was, then she improved after each treatment with lighter pain and then almost normal. plus electro therapy after that, Dr. Rock kept telling us it will improve just needs some patient. I am almost certain without Dr. Rocks treatment she would only go worse and would have a permanent bone injury. What a relief, within days she improved could walk without skipping, 2-3 week went she could turn around in bed without the torturing pain, its been 5weeks now and our twice a week treatments went down to once a week. July 1st, MY MOM IS ENJOYING SWIMMING POOL AND WOBBLING AROUND, she though at one point she could never walk comfortable again. and here we are! THANK GOD. Both office staff ARE awesome, sweeeet people, both so nice and respectful, fast and efficient work.My kids can have coloring pages in the waiting room waiting for their grandma, its a nice place. I have just recently started seeing Dr. Rockenmacher due to vertigo and neck/shoulder issues. I am very uncomfortable with traditional popping and cracking chiropractor treatments and shared this with the dr. He was very open to that and said he'd work with it. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rock and his staff. I went to Dr. Rock unable to walk without crutches due to a fractured pelvis (the bone had healed by that point, but I was still unable to walk) and on the verge of an emotional breakdown because I did not have insurance and could not afford physical therapy. Dr. Rock really listened to what I had to say about my injury and was able to explain what was going on with my muscles that was preventing me from being able to take a step with my left leg. After the first visit, I was able to walk short distances, and after the second and third visit, regaining my athletic lifestyle actually seemed like a possibility. I also have to mention that I ran late one day due to an accident on the freeway, and though the office was busy, Dr. Rock fit me in. Additionally, his staff worked with me on my payments because I was waiting to receive disability checks. They never called to harass me or ever made me feel bad about not being able to pay right away. I would recommend Dr. Rock to anyone. I saw Dr. R 2-3 times. While he did a great job adjusting me and alleviating my pain, I don't feel comfortable see a provider that expects to see me 2-3x a week, indefinitely. I find that very excessive. I prefer Chiropractors that only ask you to come back 1-2 times tops for your current pain complaint and then as necessary from then on out as you need them. My final appointment with him also ran very late and he was juggling patients between rooms to try to fit everyone in, and then I felt , spent very little time with me. Also, after I had canceled my future appointments they were trying to call me and get me back on a "treatment plan". I have never gone to a chiropractor that required continuous care like that, I don't even see my primary doc that often and I have multiple health conditions! While he is a perfectly capable chiropractor, I just can't trust that all the appointments are in my best interest, verse the interest of his own pocket book. read more

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Roc! I'd been dealing with hip pains for 4 years and it suddenly got to the point of not being able to walk, stand up straight, or lie down without extreme shooting pains. Very disappointed at the fact that even though I had an appointment for a specific time I waited for over 45 minutes past my appointment time and then to top it off they call a regular patient that had a later appointment, before me. I was forced to change chiropractor because my new medical insurance wasn't accepted at my chiropractor which I had seen for the past few years but I guess that was a mistake. This was only my second time coming to this chiropractor in the span of 3 days and unfortunately it was my last. When I inquired as to why I still had not been called, I was told by whom I presume to be the office manager that they had a lot of walk-ins because of the rain and that the doctor was running behind. I was polite and I said but isn't that the point of making an appointment, so that you are seen at a specific time? She just repeated that the doctor was running behind. I was so accustomed to receiving excellent service not just by my previous chiropractor but by the support staff, that this experience left me extremely disappointed. Absolutely no regard for my time. I asked to please cancel my appointment and left. read more

About 5 years ago I started seeing "Dr Rock" after lingering lower back issues would constantly interrupt my active life and other chiropractors never seemed to be able to get the issue corrected.
