Beachside Optometry is amazing. I went here after having trouble seeing the white board in nursing school. I work with many medical professionals and was so impressed by how professional everyone was that works here. Everything went super smoothly from scheduling my appointment to picking up my glasses. I saw Dr. Arboleda who was really friendly and actually listened to my concerns. She explained what was going on with my vision and didn't make me feel rushed. Never ever come here for eye infection help. Do yourself a favor and go to a real ophthalmologist. I had a stye and these doctors gave the most awful advice. They prescribed me steroids to combat a stye and told me to massage the stye. That actually makes it worse and my stye had gotten bigger from the advices these doctors provided me. Bad doctors that don't know how to help heal people. Also, they'll try to schedule multiple appointments to milk your money. I will never ever check in with this business again. I feel so wrong by these doctors that have violated my recovery due to their lack of knowledge and genuine care. Greed really changes the heart of people. read more

I went to Dr. Sekhon and was beyond pleased with my experience. I have extremely poor vision, which makes it difficult to afford contacts. They are specialty contacts and most often cost me over $600 for a few pairs. After going to some very questionable eye doctors in the area, Dr. Sekhon was phenomenal with her knowledge of the severity of my poor vision, and provided me options for short term use, as well as helped me to get my long term contacts covered by insurance! It felt like a miracle. Not only did she see me on short notice when my contacts were having issues, but she made the experience so comfortable and easy. I've been to a lot of eye doctors in my lifetime and would recommend this doctor to everyone I know! Beachside Optometry is the BEST! Maggie did the testing for both myself and my 16 year old son. She was patient, gave clear instructions and was very friendly and pleasant. Next, we went in to see Dr. Kirk, who is just the most upbeat, friendly, and thorough doctor I have ever met! Lastly, Dr. Kirk sent me out with Carlos to pick out some glasses. He was BEYOND patient and accommodating. He helped me pick out some glasses, but also let me have plenty of time to peruse and pick out as many as I wanted to try on. I must've tried on 50 pairs and he never once acted annoyed, impatient or in a hurry to put glasses back. He helped me pick out two great pairs! So happy to have found this place. Ive worn glasses and/or contacts for most of my life so I've been to a lot of optometrist. Dr. Sekhon was very nice and very efficient. The office had things down to a since so everything went quickly but I never felt like I was being rushed. They had a staff member (Natali) who knew everything about my insurance and helped me get the most bang for my buck so I was able to afford both contacts and a new pair of glasses in one visit. I'm so pleased to have finally found an eye doctor/office that I will be happy to come back to. read more

I'll start by saying that I did not visit the location, but I really wanted to. I called in to setup an appointment due to the high reviews on Yelp. The staff was very nice and checked my insurance to verify that I have coverage. They accept my insurance and to my surprise they quoted me double my copay for the contact lens fitting. When I inquired as to why, I was informed that it was a "premium fitting" and they do not do "standard fittings." I have used the same contact lenses for over 7 years and do not require the "premium" service of being able to take home samples, not to mention other places have always given me contact lens samples to take home because they are typically provided for free by the vendors. I don't mind that they have a "premium" service available but it's unfortunate that they hide behind it to effectively double my copay. I'm glad I spoke with my insurance company before visiting this establishment. read more

Scheduled an appointment on the recomendation of a coworker; the doctor I had been going to for a few years moved so I needed to find a new one. I had a great experience, the staff was excellent. I took a long time selecting glasses and at no time did I feel rushed. Yoomie was very patient and helped me look up all the color options, she was never annoyed that I asked her to check on multiple frames. I didn't feel like I was just another patient. They also have a great selection of brands. I wanted a specific style of Ray Bans for my prescription glasses, and I thought i would have to give them the style number and what color i wanted but the person who helped me had every style and color practically memorized! Do NOT go here.. I repeat, DO NOT GO Here. Not only did I get ripped off on pricing, as I went in with good insurance and yes, they absolutely nickle and dimmed me so I went out of pocket at least $500.00 for contacts and glasses. But, never mind the cost. Never mind at all. The female optometrist talked me into mono-vision for my contact lenses. When I left the office, I was wearing glasses and they seamed to work. My contacts, however, did not give me clear site and I felt nauses (sp). She told me that I would get used to it. After 10 months of misery, I went to another Opt, and told him that I wanted out of the mono-vision contacts. He said, "no", if you have gone this long, lets try and make it work. I hesitantly said ok. Well, not only do I see very clearly, as I can read up-close and far away, but the kicker is, this prescription is nothing like the wrong prescription I was given by Beachside. She had me at -4.5 on my left eye, and -1.50 on my right eye. Now that I can see clearly, my prescription is -3.25 on my left and -2.75 on my right. Look at the difference! With the prescription given by the Opt at Beachside I could see nothing. I was hitting the golf ball about 30 yards longer on my golf shots than I wanted. I could not even grasp how far away things were. I could barely drive at night. So, not only do they steal money out of your pocket, but the so called "doctor" didn't even come close on my prescription. Its crazy.. Do NOT go there.. Again, it is more than just the money that they steal from you, they are incompetent. I am so angry that I just went almost a full year with no accurate vision. It ruined a golf trip I took to back east. I couldn't even hit the ball. It was ridiculous. This is not much different than seeing a doctor for a sore throat and getting a prescription for blood pressure medication. It won't work..I should report them to somebody. I don't know who, but I am going to find out and report this so called "doctor" of eyes. I will post the name of the very good doctor that fixed their mistake. read more

I have been going to this place since I was about 13. I am 27 now. They are not in the network for my insurance, but because of the service they provide and the genuine relationship I have built with the staff, I wouldn't go anywhere else. There was one time I burned my eye with clear care (hydrogen peroxide), and they took me in right away and helped clean out my eye so it did not get infected. Wonderful place! read more

I just had my 3rd appointment with this practice. I never seem to have to wait too long to be seen by the Dr. I was examined by Dr Folley and she was probably the most thorough Dr I've seen so far. I do like the staff but feel their prices are a bit high. If I didn't have insurance I would have to think pretty hard if I would go back due to the prices on both exams and the glasses. read more
