Not a big fan of the frame styles at my local optometrist and had a previous good experience with WP ordering online during the pandemic. Came in on a Monday evening to try on some frames. Really glad this location is not too far from where I live. They have a lot of styles to choose from and while I wouldn't say the frame quality is top notch, they are stylish and fit my taste. It took me about 10 mins before I found one I liked and another 10 for the optician to set up my order. They aren't pushy about adding add ons but I still got everything since I'll be wearing the glasses for a while. Glasses shipped to my house and fit like a glove. I normally have great experiences with Warby Parker (Pasadena and Fashion Island), but my recent visit to the South Coast Plaza location was disappointing. After asking for a tightening adjustment, my glasses actually felt looser at the temples and even slipped off my nose. The adjustment only made the temple ends bend more, but the front of the frame felt wider. When I mentioned this, the employee was dismissive and said, "that's all I can do," which I know isn't true since another location adjusted the same frames correctly before. I left feeling very frustrated that the adjustment made my glasses worse. I ended up having to bend them myself at the mall just to make them wearable. If possible, I'd like this feedback passed along to the this location, since I know your brand usually prides itself on helpful and kind service. read more

My girlfriend brought in a pair of fairly new eyeglasses to get a nose pad replaced. The woman who was supposed to fix the glasses, slipped while handling the tool and ended up causing a big scratch/crack in one of the lenses and promptly began blaming my girlfriend for the damage. There were no scratches or damages whatsoever on the glasses. I saw them myself and my girlfriend literally wore them into the store. This is extremely disappointing. To cause damage to a customer's eyeglasses, then lie and blame them is pretty disgusting behavior. read more

The Optometrist was great, but when I came in, one of the ladies that worked there announced that her colleague was getting tea for the "sickies" and then proceeded to try to do my intake. I told her I wasn't comfortable with her, so she got someone else, Gabby, who was lovely. However, after my appointment all of the "sickies" were standing in the middle of the small shop talking and it made me very uncomfortable. My elderly mother stays with me. I would have asked for a refund- but I didn't want to be in there for another second. Those employees should not have come in to work. That's awful and turned the experience into a terrible one. They should be more considerate. read more

One and done. I decided to give this place a try after studying the company as part of my MBA program. The eye exam and everything leading up to that is top notch. If you are here for that, you get great service and it is everything you would expect. For me, I use contact and unfortunately, they don't have my trial pair in stock so they told me they would need to order them. A few days later, I got an email stating they are in and I can reply to the email for a follow up appointment and to confirm pick up. I responded 1 hr after receiving the email and waiting 5 days with zero response. Decided to go into the store only to find out they cannot give me the trial without the doctor checking for fit. I will now need to spend another 30 mins going back for an appointment that will only last 5 mins. Just ridiculous and clearly someone drop the ball. This place is supposed to be better and different, but from my experience, you get better going to Costco and it will likely cost less. Never again. read more

Glad this store opened up as it's closer to me than the Lido and Fashion Island location. They have a larger variety too and staff were so nice and helpful. I came in earlier this week to get my glasses adjusted as it became loose and did not sit on my nose in a straight way. After waiting maybe 15-20 min, they finished the adjustments and it fit perfectly again! Hooray. read more

My daughter and I had the worst experience at this store. They attempted to upsell us on everything. The Dr. decided to make the prescription stronger than needed. My daughter has been having headaches after 2 days of using the prescription. I am unable to contact the store directly to find out if the Dr can change the prescription to what my daughter actually needs. I have to go through customer service. Secondly, I have fairly new glasses from WP. I asked if my new prescription can be added to my current glasses. The cost was going to be much more than ordering new glasses, over $100 more. They had to redo my glasses three times and they are still not correct. This took months ( since October). The invoice I received by email was not in my name but my husband's name and the amount charged and the amount paid were different. I am still waiting for the corrected invoice despite two trips to the store. The corporate is the one who needs to correct the invoice and it is taking them a long time to do this. Went in to try to find frames that fit and looked good - it is hard finding extra wide frames and the selection is generally terrible. Staci, the store manager, helped me find something that not only fit but looked great. I ended up buying two pairs. When they arrived (they ship them directly to you), I was so happy with the quality and value that I went back a few weeks later and ordered both pairs as sunglasses. Staci remembered me and my order and was very knowledgeable and helpful getting me what I need. I'm new to Warby Parker.... Immediately a huge fan. Amazing experience here. Went in South Coast about spend at-least $300 on just frames at Oliver's People. The service there was terrible and I left. I was hoping to get a nice pair of frames since I wear glasses everyday so I keep walking around and stumbled across Warby Parker. I ended up buying two pairs from them WITH prescription for LESS than the cost of just the frames of Oliver's People. The whole process was super smooth and they didn't mind me looking around on my own. I would 100% recommend Warby Parker to everyone who needs a new pair of eyeglasses and wants outstanding service. Just when we were about to give up finding the style we wanted, we found Warby Parker. Brandon greeted us with a big smile and helped us find different sizes and styles of countless frames. He listened to what we were looking for, our likes and dislikes, and every time came back with an altered recommendation, each one better than the last. He was immensely patient and showed us the dimensions of each one on their iPad until we had every bit of information and made an easy decision. Once we had landed on the Carlton's, Casey took one look and noticed the fit could use adjusting. He had us try on the glasses and move all around, he analyzed from all angles and then adjusted. A few tweaks and recommendations later, we were all set! Both Brandon and Casey were SO helpful and truly make the experience stress free and even exciting.
