Decided to take a trip to the jersey shore for some relaxation and fishing. Temp was projected to be in the neighborhood of 80deg (not). We heard about Seabright and decided it was worth a look. Sea on one side and a bay directly behind the hotel. A fisherman's paradise. Striped bass, rock, etc. The restaurant and bar were not open and will open after memorial day. Overall the place is a jewel. Very friendly staff, plenty of parking and other amenities made available in the lobby. Very satisfied with the room and the view.. one issue was the chair in the room had a large slit in the back of the chair. Coffee (free) available in the room and lobby. The back area of hotel (bay side) for fishing was well lit with chairs and small table which allows you to mingle, eat, drink, and fish. I DEFINITELY WILL BE A REPEAT CUSTOMER!!!! read more

Very expensive for what it is. The only thing going for this place is that it's across the street from the beach. It also has a little/bar restaurant on the river. Food is ok. Rooms and facility in general just ok as well. Not worth the money. We stayed 2 nights for a nearby wedding. The pool wasn't open either day. The staff had no idea why and the manager wasn't available or on site the entire weekend. My husband and son-in-law are avid swimmers and expected access to a pool. (The ocean was very cold and rough that weekend.). I emailed the manager 3 times regarding the pool with no response. I tried calling him. No answer and no voicemail -- I take it planned that way. I wish I read these reviews before spending $1200 for a 3-night stay at an alleged "luxury" hotel. This is NOT luxury. This hotel is filthy, run down, and falling apart. I've stayed at cheap motels that were better than this. I don't know why they call this luxury other than a great marketing gimmick. HOUSEKEEPING: They never came once during my 4-day stay. When the maid didn't come by 5:30pm on Day 2, I went to the office and asked for clean washcloths/towels so I could shower (I spent the day at the beach). They said they'd send housekeeping but never did. I tracked down the maid. She told me she didn't have any in her cart but she'd bring me some later (this means the few rooms she cleaned never got clean linens either). Long story short, I had to use the same dirty washcloth and wet towel for 4 days, living like a pig. ROOMS: The room was filthy when I checked in. There were dead insects all over the walls in the bathroom, hair on the floor, etc. The smoke detector (or CO detector?) on the wall was removed. There's no garbage can (nor are there any outside), so you have to throw all your garbage on the floor in the room. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, but no table to eat your food. You have to eat on the bed. The floor was covered in sand, which tracked into the bed. Between the food crumbs and sand, the bed became filthy after several days of no housekeeping. There were ants constantly in the shower. Every time I took a shower, I had to kill all the ants and rinse them away. The walls were filthy, marked up, peeling, and falling apart. They were in severe need of a spackle and paint job. There are no overhead lights in the room. They only have two small lamps. This makes it very difficult to see inside the room. There is no dresser or place to keep your clothes (like most non-luxury hotels have). They have a small bin inside the closet that you can fit a few folded shirts in. OUTSIDE: The ground was littered with garbage outside my room. What do you expect when they have no garbage cans? The vending machines and ice machine are in an area that closes at 9pm. This is the same time their restaurant closes. After 9pm, good luck getting a soda or a snack. BUT, the vending machines and ice machine were all broken anyway. No surprise here. See my separate review on their restaurant. OVERALL: This is NOT a luxury resort, as falsely advertised. Even basic, low-end motels have daily housekeeping, garbage cans, a table in the room, lights in the room, and working vending machines. The owners here clearly have no desire to spend any money on this place. This is just a money grab for them and they provide nothing in return other than a dirty place to sleep. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the scenery, which isn't really their doing. read more

Not as pictured. It's an antiquated Motel. And very NOISY. The water pipes went on every 90 seconds all the time, and they were loud along with the toilet constantly. The room was very old and outdated. The floorboards outside the room with deteriorating and potentially dangerous. They used a plastic cheap mattress, cover with inexpensive sheets that didn't breathe. In the heat with the AC on, it made for a very slippery and uncomfortable feel trying to sleep along with all the noise. I asked to perhaps, we moved to a better room, and I was dismissed and told that they were sold out. I did not see evidence of that based on the parking lot for many guests. Additionally, there's a nice restaurant and bar on property that was advertised as being open in the evening, but they lack the staff to open it the first night I was there The property is close to the beach, which makes it nice. We had a fantastic experience when we visited this week. The tiki bar had coffee in the A.M. which was just tranquil sipping coffee while over looking the river . The beach was Accross the street, very nice and peaceful. We ate at the Tiki bar the first night. The prices were reasonable, the quality and presentation was excellent. The rooms weren't updated, however they were clean, and you could ask for housekeeping everyday if you wish. The location was perfect, not too long of a drive to the town center, and on weekends the tiki bar has music. We had a great time and will be rebooking for next year! read more

The view and hotel room was beautiful. We stayed in the newly renovated oceanview premiere queen suite that boasted private entrance. The size of the room was beautiful. I said 6 people were staying, only 4 did. This is the hotel I chose to book for my bridal party to get ready. The photos and everything was exactly what I was looking for... From the beginning, the elevator was pretty rickety and slow. Carpets look super dirty but blend well and there is a stench from the cleaners and mop closet. There is also no signs that clearly mark where you are supposed to check in. The front desk was friendly and check in was pretty seamless. There were no extra blankets in the room and nobody at the front desk after 11pm. There was no answer at the front desk. My new husband and I came back to our suite after our wedding to find we were locked out of our room. Again nobody answered the phone nobody at the desk. Finally Xavier answered the phone sleepily saying he would be in, he was on his lunch break. He never came. Alyssa happened to come in off the clock and said she could help us get back in our room. Finally..we get back in the room and so much of our things were thrown out. On top of that, our TV never worked. It was missing the rfid card. I cant really recommend this place. For the money I paid, im honestly so disappointed in the service and the quality of thos hotel and proper management. If youre looking for a beach hotel, I would skip this one. read more

This MOTEL is one of the worst places I've ever stayed. The pictures online are false advertisements. Unless you are staying in the new hotel building, you are wasting your money. The only saving grace was the front desk staff. Very friendly, but none of them had any authority to have anything fixed or addressed. We were in town for a wedding, and the crappy room ruined the entire weekend. We had no working TV, wires hanging all down the walls, the cable box sits precariously on top of the TV hanging 5 inches off and fell on my fiancés head. The smoke detector was missing with wires hanging going out and just dangling. The room floor was sandy upon our arrival and smelled like mold & musty. And no one cleaned or laundered any rooms onsite while we were there for 2 nights. read more

We arrived with a confirmed booking, only to be treated with shocking rudeness by the front desk staff. The receptionist( young lady with braces) was dismissive, made snide remarks like "you need to speak up," and refused to provide any clear updates about our room. We had already been waiting for check-in for over an hour at that point. Despite repeated polite requests for information, her only response was "I don't know, you have to wait," while she continued checking in other guests who arrived after us. She interrupted us constantly, refused to listen, and acted completely unprofessionally. When we calmly asked her not to speak to us in such a disrespectful tone and said "please don't be mean to us," she falsely claimed we were yelling at her -- a complete fabrication. After that, she stopped communicating altogether and ignored us. We asked to speak with a manager. At first, we were told there was no manager on duty. Then, an 10 minutes later, the manager called us -- not to resolve the situation, but to inform us that we had been **denied check-in** because we had allegedly insulted the receptionist. He had **not witnessed any part of the interaction** himself but fully sided with the front desk staff without listening to our side of the story. This only escalated the situation further. We are extremely disappointed. We were left without accommodation, without any offer of a solution or even a basic apology. The staff failed to uphold the most fundamental standards of hospitality and respect. Avoid this hotel if you expect professionalism, basic courtesy, or any responsibility from management. We are filing a formal complaint and will be reporting this experience to corporate. read more

The only real positive about this hotel is the location across from the beach us great. The rooms were updated, but fairly generic. The property has some maintenance issues. There was an active leak in the middle of the lobby that was slowly eating the ceiling. We arrived late, and the front desk couldn't make us keys that worked. Luckily, they were up and running the next day. There was no screen on the door to the balcony, so the bugs were a problem if you wanted to open the door. The housekeeping was mediocre. The floors look like they'd not had a good mopping in awhile, and walking around barefoot or in socks yielded dirty feet. The carpet in the interior halls and elevators was very stained. The bed was ok, but the pillows small and flat. For $500 a night, this wasn't a great value. read more

Did not stay at the hotel - this review is for the outdoor dining venue only. Visited here on a beautiful summer day after the beach. Place was fairly busy. Service (if you can call it that) was discombobulated and a complete failure. They have table service, but half the other patrons were going to the counter inside to order food and drinks. We should have done the same. After sitting and waiting for about 5 minutes, a server came to our table to take our drink order. Twenty minutes later, still no drinks. Saw the same server bringing food and drinks to other tables. Finally went inside and couldn't find her anywhere and nobody knew where she was. Nobody wanted to help us. Never got our drinks or ordered any food. We ended up walking out. What a disaster. We live in the area and would have been repeat customers if the experience was good. Never again. Without the beach across the street this hotel would not exist. We booked 2 rooms which were way too expensive (we spent the next night in the heart of the city, paid the about the same and the hotel was excellent!). We had to move out of one room because they couldn't get the sliding glass door to close. Rooms were sparsely appointed with cheap Furniture, tv remote didn't work ( maintenance came three times and couldn't get it fixed. He left us with three different remotes that only performed one function each) Plenty of black hair in the bathroom, neither my wife or I have black hair. Nowhere to put anything down in the shower, hold it or put it on the floor. Mention it to the front desk that night and she responded that's weird and sorry, she would move us but didn't have any clean rooms. Don't say I didn't warn you! read more

This is the worst hotel I have ever visited and I have traveled all over the world, staying in hotels ranging from 1 to 5 stars. I don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to today. The room door lock did not work for 3 days, forcing me to go to the front desk --anytime I wanted access -- to have an employee open it with a master key. There were other niceties, including sand on the floor and in the bed. The bathroom was disgusting, replete with a grimy, yellow shower curtain (+ no hairdryer). The pool wasn't cleaned before everyone woke up, so we got the pleasure of seeing beer cans and the remnants of the previous night's activities. As for sleep, you can hear anything going on in the adjacent rooms. Good luck! Tired and embarrassed at having to open my room, the desk clerk volunteered that they would discount my stay. At checkout, I was told they couldn't because I booked through a third party, but would on my next stay by mentioning the manager's name. Seriously? It's a trashy place. Don't let the pictures fool you. Imagine a cheap hotel off an exit, outside some backwoods town ... then add the sea. read more

Typical beach motel. Smaller room and most basic of necessities but the view from the tiki bar and right across the street from beach sells it. We spent 2 nights here and 2cd night went to a show at pnc arts center. The drive was super smooth about 25 min. Was not crazy about the fact they let anyone in to use their pool. One morning had a boat dock up and 6 kids jumped in the pool as we were relaxing and reading. Seems anyone can hang poolside. Tiki bar was great with live music and pretty good bar food. Great service, but note everything closes down about 9:00 pm. read more

I wish I could sing praises for Beachwalk at Sea Bright, but unfortunately my stay was just subpar. First, their bar operates only in the afternoons and offers a scarce food selection and no breakfast anywhere nearby. While the room was spacious and newly refurbished, I was stunned to find out that the cleaning service refused to make the bed or vacuum the floors, even after the front desk assured me it would get taken care of. After getting no assistance from the desk I also asked a housekeeper for better attention to the room, to which she responded she couldn't help me. The absence of mirrors was surprising for a hotel of this caliber, not to mention the lack of shelves or storage areas in the showers. Simple conveniences like ice and water weren't readily available in the main building. Also, an incessant porch light shone so brightly into the room, it was like daylight at 4 am, and the curtains could not be closed to fully block this light either. Despite the prime location and friendly staff, these annoyances are what I remember about my stay. It's disappointing because the potential is clearly there for a lovely vacation destination, but until they improve their cleaning service and pay attention to basic conveniences, I'd hesitate to recommend Beachwalk at Sea Bright. read more

To say we had a nightmare experience would be an understatement. We were awaken at 3 AM by the smoke alarm in our room beeping and blaring "Fire, Fire" and "Carbon Monoxide." Didn't see or feel anything, finally went off. Happened again at 3:15 AM and the fire department came and said they didn't detect any smoke or carbon monoxide. At this point alarms were going off in the entire wing. Someone went to the office and there was no one there, just a sign to call a number in case of a problem and when they did, it went right to a voicemail. The fire department left and the smoke alarm went off again at 4 AM. At this point, we packed up our clothes and left and ended up sleeping in our car. Actually, we got no sleep at all. We did not return for a second night because of that experience and we didn't felt safe staying there. I phoned the front desk twice the night day to confirm we would not be coming back and that we expected a refund for both nights. I was extremely polite with whomever I spoke to, unlike other guests who I could hear screaming at them. Over the next two weeks, I called again twice and asked for the general manager and e-mailed her as well. The hotel finally refunded one night, but not the other. I called one last time and the general manager, Alicia, refused to speak to me. I'm now disputing the charge on my credit card. The hotel is lucky there wasn't an actual fire or carbon monoxide leaks and if there had been, had no one on site to deal with the situation. The front desk people I spoke to were very sympathetic and didn't understand why the hotel didn't refund both nights. Bottom line, I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone else. read more

I let the hotel know, and came back to pick it up. When I checked it, almost an entire bottle of my medication had been taken. I asked the hotel for a complete refund, but they only gave me a partial refund and mentioned that medication being stolen from guests has happened before. Used to be a favorite for dock and dine snd family on the river. I thought in 2022 there would be a return to better days. The dock is in dis-repair and tiki bar menu and drink menu is very limited. The entertainment on the outside deck is the only saving grace. Staff works hard but over all disappointing. read more

We came here for a nice vacation and just for a place to stay. We got into the room it looked okay, but after we got in there were bugs everywhere and the fire alarm was at low batteries. Jeff and I were so excited to go to the Beachwalk for dinner. Strong suggestion...don't bother! Beautiful view and that's it! Service was nonexistent. Waiter finally came over for drink order and saw our table was dirty and still had last customer's bill. Cleaned it. Ordered drinks, 20 minutes later, got drinks. Later, he had to go inside to bar to get someone to come out so we could order. We finally ordered food. Food was served on burnt rolls and we couldn't eat it. He went to restroom, said it was filthy with flys abound. He suggested strongly that I not visit restroom. Hard to get a bill to get out! We finally got out and will not return! This is the property where Jeff asked me to marry him 39 years ago at Mirasol. It should have been a wonderful experience, but, sadly it was awful! We will move on and never return! read more

He replied I will talk to her I said we are leaving. He says that's fine. This was an adorable shore motel! This was the hotel of choice for the wedding we attended at Windows down the street. It is your quintessential shore spot decorated as you would expect for a nice fun weekend. There was no obvious sign when we pulled in the lot as to where the office was located so I attempted to get into another building which was locked, so drove further in the back and found the office. Checkin was super easy especially since it was prepaid - just pretty much got the keys and walked over to our room. We had the standard room with 2 doubles - 3 of us in there and it was the perfect size for what we needed. Loved having the mini fridge as we brought drinks and snacks while we were getting ready for the wedding! Should be noted that there is no hair dryer or coffee maker in the room, though you can get those from the office if needed. Only downside was there was very limited counter space and for 3 girls getting ready for a wedding, counter space was def needed. The bathroom lacked a vanity and just had a pedestal sink, but a small shelf which didn't hold well since it leaned. We just improvised and rotated spaces throughout the room as we needed. Had a day after brunch at the tiki bar and the staff was lovely! Unfortunately, it was a rainy wedding weekend so we couldn't really enjoy outside spaces but we still very much had a good time! Beds were comfy, blackout shades help us sleep off the wedding booze lol. Checkout was super easy too - just dropped off the keys and we were on our way! Great little place! read more

We rented out almost the whole place and all of our guests were thrilled with how great the rooms were! You can't beat the quality of this place on top of the location and the price. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. At first glance the hotel is super cute. Then we realized the room was infested with ants. First noticed in the bathroom, then the main room and then in our bags & on the bed. After speaking to Chris at the front seat who was very helpful, he let us know that he would speak with management & get back to us asap. He contacted us back within the following 30 minutes to tell us that the manager Alicia said to email her regarding the issue for a possible discount. In my opinion that is completely unacceptable. After already being inconvenienced by having to go up and down the stairs to the office because no one answers the phone & then having to go through our luggage & take all of our stuff out of the room because We didn't our luggage more infested. The least she could have done was call us hersef. Oh, and let's not forget how they tried to come in the room while we were in there to spray Raid ‍ I will certainly be disputing these charges. read more

I have never stayed at the hotel but live near by and this is one of my favorite places around for dinner. The food is good - basic and simple burgers and fish tacos. Where this place really shines is the atmosphere - river front dining, awesome live music every time I have been there, great drinks and awesome vibe all at a low price. Really a great secret spot!! Only downside is during our stay a slew of children were present - and parents let 'em lose - hordes of unruly kids screamed and ran down the porches in front of all the rooms for hours ! Rooms have little soundproofing- Footsteps from the above rooms and outside can be heard at all hours. - Rooms very clean and lovely - Wouldn't return due to the lack of soundproofing of the rooms - and rooms a bit too pricey at end of August.. Great hotel right off the beach. Completely redone since Sandy. They have really nice clean rooms with a big TV microwave and makes you feel like you are in the beach. Prices are pretty good and they have a really nice pool with a small restaurant/bar that is on the bay. You can also park your boat if you have one. read more
