The big department stores here are Nordstrom, Saks, Fifth Avenue, and Dillards. I usually try to park by Macy's, since it's a store most familiar with. I decided to park by Nordstrom instead. I just saw a pic that there was a shooting here back in March of 2018, that's scary. It's rather dead in the shopping center and there's not a lot of cool stores to look at, that's unique. I returned a sauce because it had a best by date of nov. 20th 2025 and I bought it dec. 22nd 2025. When I got home and noticed the date a returned it shortly after were I was told that management says it's ok to sell it because it's a Best Buy date and not an expiration date. So I asked what is the expiration date then, they could NOT give me an answer but insisted that they are still in date. Go to any grocery store, best by and expiration date are the SAME thing!!!!!! This store is selling outdated food just to make a profit. I walked by the store a few hours later and noticed they put back every single sauce that I brought to them that was outdated. I will come back every holiday season. Nordstrom's holiday decorations were fabulous! Saks Fifth avenue has so many beautiful things and the staff in every store were so friendly! First time coming here! Wow this place is really impressive! In an era where malls are dying, this one is alive and well with nearly full occupancy inside . It's very well rehabed and easy to walk around and navigate too with an easy layout to understand. The cleanest restrooms too and a great variety of stores of all brands and interests. Since I am not a native Cleveland, i figured I would kill some time and go to a mall. The best one around, and it was not this one. It has your typical stores and even a Coach and even an Altered State stores but no Gap or Banana Republic, etc.. The folks walking around were nice enough. I purchased Swarovski figurines and have a large collection, although the quality of crystal maybe high grade, the workmanship is NOT. over the years, for what ever reason, don't know why, the glued pieces will occasionally fall off, but Swarovski would repair it, at a cost, witch is fine, but now that they only care about the jewelry and watches, they don't care about repairing the figurines. the wheel on my train fell off, now all of a sudden, they can't repair it. all it needs is to be glued back on, but Swarovski can't glue it on, they have an outside repair company and apparently they are not able to get the glue needed for the repair, I wish I never purchased from Swarovski. I would think twice before buying jewelry or a watch from them, because it probably wont last, the warranty is 3 yrs, so look forward to your piece braking or falling apart after the warranty expired. I would rate the value of Swarovski workmanship as very poor, and if there was a zero for rating I would have chose that. read more

Hadn't been here since February. This evening the mall was wonderful! It had a comfortable crowd. Everyone was wearing a mask, even Santa. Everyone looked nice. People were carrying shopping bags. Being here felt normal. This was a Tuesday evening around 6:30-7:30 before Christmas. Our son had come during the day and told us to go here. We walked both floors and through the department stores. Saks is closed at the mall entrance on both floors. You enter through the parking lot doors. Some stores front were empty and we saw a few new stores. Some stores had moved to new locations within the mall. We liked seeing the decorations and I took some pictures. Everything was nice. read more

Not as mean as the B*tchwood Mall, and not as popular with Forrest Gump as the Benchwood Mall, this mall is pretty cool nonetheless. It's a pretty large and impressive Mall in the suburbs of Cleveland. I spent a good four hours exploring every inch of it on foot with my favorite northeastern Ohio princess. She already knows this Mall pretty well, but for me it was at first. The Bubble Tea was a highlight even though it wasn't that good (lol) and then it had the same old shops that you would expect plus a few little independently owned surprises (speaking of surprises, hey girl). Parking was not too bad compared to some malls but then this is Cleveland and it's not exactly the most fashionable City, even though it is one of the best cities for food in the country. Yes I'm serious. Anyway, nothing here made me sick enough to justify the name Barfwood Mall, but they also don't have any orchestra performances here, otherwise it might be the Bachwood Mall. read more

The mall is and truly will be a thing of the past. Generally I avoid them all unless it's the Christmas season. My family and I used to frequent Beachwood Mall however the roving gangs of miscreants and ne'er do Wells I've done an excellent job of keeping people away from the mall especially those that wish to come transact business with some of the retailers. Wow Beachwood mall appears to be almost 100% occupied some of the stores already are planning their going out of business sales. when you go into the mall there used to be two restaurants that flank the main entrance of the mall and both of those bases have long since been occupied.. The mall also appears to be falling into disrepair and lack of maintenance. I happened to use the restroom on the first floor and I went into the stall where I found poop was literally splattered all over the wall. I don't know how one can have that much intestinal distress 2 force that much poo that high up the wall but that appears that was the case and yet not cleaned up. As this small was one that I used to work out when I was a teenager it has changed drastically probably as most malls have. In particular this mall and it's loitering public generally makes me fear for my safety which is why carrying my little friend I feel is a requirement for this mall. Conversely across the way legacy village seems to be doing very well and I prefer to spend my money there. read more

I wouldn't trade Michigan Avenue or living in a city for anything, but sometimes going to a mall is so refreshing. I can never get my fiance to go shopping with me so when he suggested we spend yesterday at Beachwood Place I jumped at the opportunity. And this is sure is a nice mall that has practically everything including (that is besides Bloomies and Neimans....what's up with that?). I had a lot of little things on my list to buy...you know all those important things like new makeup brushes, hanky pankys, and sunglasses. And so I spent a lot of time in Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, and Nordstroms (yay for the anniversary sale). The food court could use some work (although I was happy to see my favorite chick-fil-a)...some healthier options would be nice! read more

The comments about this mall's community going downhill are not exaggerated. I decided to stop by yesterday while searching for a present for my significant other. There were plenty of shady-looking characters walking around, but I tried not to focus on it. After looking at a few stores, I decided on a gift. As I was paying for it, a gunshot rang out just outside the store front, and people started screaming and running. We were rushed to the back room and only allowed to leave a short time later. I was fine - just a little shaken up - but I don't plan to come back if I can help it. If you're looking for reasons to stay away from Beachwood Place, forget about the mask hysteria for a second and consider the much more immediate threat of dangerous criminals that the mall simply can't seem to get a lid on. I am, however, grateful that our brave Beachwood police were on the scene so quickly. read more

If you are trying to get Covid, make sure to check out Beachwood Place. ‍ I couldn't believe the lack of people wearing masks and the total disregard for social distancing. People were literally standing shoulder to shoulder in the food court. I was especially bothered by members of the Beachwood police that were walking through crowds hit wearing masks. Beachwood place is a pretty great mall to shop at. They have quite a few stores ranging from toys to clothes to furniture. A little something for everyone. They also have a food court fit for practically every craving you could have. I do like how there is security everywhere. It makes me feel safe while shopping. I do wish they would expand and add more stores though. Other than that it's a pleasant shopping experience or just a great place to have lunch. read more

Beachwood Place is one of my "happy places" for an upscale retail shopping experience. The mall is clean, safe and caters to high end shoppers - Sak's Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Papyrus, and even the Lego Store ! The mall is well-maintained, and security is present without being obtrusive to shoppers. Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant is my choice for a fine dining meal while at Beachwood Place, and the food court is good for a quick casual meal. Restrooms are clean & adequate. Parking is plentiful. Williams Sonoma and a new Container Store are on the periphery of the mall. Nice upscale indoor mall with well known stores such as Nordstrom, Victoria Secret, Sephorah, Saks Fifth and Dillard's. Also plenty of specialty clothing, electronic, Heath care and jewelry stores. Microsoft, BrookStone, Pandora, Swarovski, Origin, Teavana, Lacoste, The Art of Shaving to name a few. Most stores are a bit pricy. Nice decor. Food court is ok if you enjoy pizza, pretzels, subs or Chinese. There is the fresh cafe if you want a healthy alternative. There is an Ohio Savings ATM in house. I drove an hour just took get kicked out of the mall right when i got there the security at the door said nothing to me when i walked in. If i am going to spend money in your mall I feel like i should be able to stay. I was not acting out for the security to even stop me and tell me to leave. I also don't understand how you are just now going to start this rule and it has never been in place before. Waste of my time. read more

What is there not to love about Beachwood Place? It is the best shopping mall in NE Ohio and has a right to have that reputation. Saks, Nordstrom, Dillard's all in one spot. Add in all of the quirky and unique boutique stores like Aveda, Lucky Brand Jeans, Lush, just to name a few, and you have a shopping paradise. We were recently there and we incredibly lucky that the mall was not crazy crowded--and it does get very busy here. Shopping and parking was breeze and we had a wonderful lunch as well--Charley's Subs for me and Auntie Anne pretzels for my family. Overall, the experience here is what you expect in a mall of its caliber--professional, enjoyable, and very positive. We did score some great holiday deals here when we were shopping and if you are in need of gifts, this is the place to be. read more

I am not normally compelled to review a place based on one bad experience among many positive experiences, but I was at Beachwood Place during the "riot" - or "racially neutral teen-generated disturbance." I got pepper sprayed, indirectly, but... still plenty awful. It's not often you walk out of Pottery Barn and into a small-scale riot complete with hysteric screaming, handcuffed perps face down on the floor, and a cloud of pepper spray. Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a socially liberal, open-minded person. Certainly not a racist. But I also know when something isn't right. And anyone that was there that night knew something wasn't right. It was Christmas Eve Eve, so I'm sure 2-4 uniformed police officers patrolling the mall floor would not have smacked of racist profiling. It was a busy night regardless of the racial composition of the clientele. I hate to even hint at being dramatic, but a security team worth half a damn would have said "OK, this is just not normal and this is a high risk situation" and called for some very subtle and reasonable backup. I'm not talking about a SWAT team, here. Instead, a place that is already in financial trouble was dealt a huge blow. Most of the Saks patronage is probably hesitant to return. Plus, I had to leave before I got to go to Auntie Anne's, which means a maximum 2-star experience. Sometimes, I think this overly-sensitive country has lost its damned mind. We are too afraid to hurt someone's feelings, so we ignore what any clear-thinking person could see was an accident waiting to happen. I'd say the same thing if there was a mob of 200 white teenagers in the food court at Richmond Mall. It's abnormal, and it's the job of security personnel to acknowledge abnormal activity. The stores are still nice. On non-riot days, this is a solid 4-star mall. read more

They just got a LEGO store - which can occupy my nerd husband for as long as it takes for me to get in deep at Banana Republic down the way. A couple really stupid things are going on at this mall too: 1. Valet parking. Are you SERIOUS? Oh and in addition to the mall valet, Saks has it's own. I have never in my life seen more valet parking than I've seen in Cleveland. Dumb. 2. Way too many of those damn kiosks where really aggressive slicked-hair European guys try to lotion you. Eww. I've lived within walking distance of Beachwood Place for about 15 years, so I can remember many changes and remodels that this mall has gone through. This is a mid-sized mall with a more upscale feeling. They are home to two of the highest-end department stores in the Cleveland area, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. The mall has been trying to open up smaller higher-end shops in recent years, such as Kate Spade and Coach, but also some more affordable options like Forever 21, so it caters to a variety of price-ranges. The food court is pretty average in terms of its offerings, with about seven or eight different booths that you can find in malls around the country. It does have TVs and couches, which I appreciate if you just feel like lounging around. I have noticed that there are certainly less people at Beachwood Place as there were ten years ago. That could be due to a number of outside factors, but I feel that this mall has generally declined over the years. For example, stores frequently open, and then close a few months later, or they close and reopen in a new location in the mall, which makes navigating the mall a bit confusing at times. Besides that, I feel that the quality of the merchandise in the longer-lasting stores has definitely declined, while prices have remained the same. I do think that the mall is poised for an upswing, though. With all its remodels, its more inviting aesthetically than its ever been. Hopefully, with the right combination of stores, this mall can regain its old glory! read more

Goodness. So many great things to say about the mall. First, nicest mall in this area as it sports a SFA and also. Nordstrom- can't get that anywhere else in Northeast Ohio. Today I went to get some Teavana for my kids and then headed over to Auntie Anne's for some yummy and fatty pretzel goodness. The mall itself is super well maintained and just lovely inside. Ample parking and lots of shops and restaurants. The stores are numerous and they have things like Coach, Madewell, J Crew as well as Dillard's and Saks. Foot courts is awesome and they also have a Starbucks. If you want sit down there is a Maggianos there as well and La Place and Legacy are right nearby as well. Really, it's s corner of the world here in NE Ohio that would be termed a shopping Mecca. read more

I drive from the Youngstown area to shop and Beechwood is well worth the drive. Not only is it a very pretty mall but it has a great variety and houses most all of the shops I enjoy. It is the place to shop in Cleveland for anything high end. For Cleveland, it's a 5 star, if you have ever been to nicer malls around the nation, it's a 3. It has Saks, Nordstrom's, and Dillard's as anchors. Without the Saks and Nordstom's, this is just any normal mall with typical mall shops. The food court is average. Be careful at night... I pretty much always regret going here the minute I walk in. Not that the mall isn't beautiful and well-maintained, but malls like these make me 1) extremely glad I'm no longer a teenager and 2) wonder WTF would compel anybody in their right mind to work here. I am going to "cheat" and review each store I visited separately, but I will give two pluses for the general mall: there is ample parking. Like, more than you could ever dream of. Also,there is a special room, adjacent to the spa-like bathrooms, designated for nursing moms. Not like I'd ever in a million years bring the baby if I can help it. Luckily, my husband hates malls even more than I do, so he was glad to watch the little one while I finished our holiday shopping. I love this mall. There is a selection of stores that one cannot find anywhere else nearby. The anchor stores (Saks and Nord) are amazing and the brands these anchors bring to the mall make it top of the line. Some of these brands are also available in the specialty stores (e.g., Lacoste) at the mall. As for the mall itself there is always a low number of empty stores at any given time. The kiosks are more useful than in other malls in my experience. The staff (guest services) are friendly and the mall runs great promotions mall wide on occasion (e.g., free gift card on your birthday*, free lunch if you spend 100**). The food court does not have all junk places in it either - there are unique places that tend to be healthier than your average Burger King type food court restaurants. *Pre-registration required. **Spend 100 at any store now thru 20 Aug & get free lunch at the mall's food court! read more
