I have rented with beacon for over a year now and have had a great experience since day 1. Kerri is always quick to respond and maintenance requests are always fulfilled right away. In winter months, our driveway and front pathway are always shoveled and it's nice never having to worry about it. I would love to be able to say the home I rented was in perfect condition, but it wasn't, being more than 20 years old. There were several issues over the course of 18 months. Laura and Kerri worked with us to quickly address the issues that came up. I've found that one of the best barometers of character is a prospective supplier's business partners and service providers. The HVAC specialist we worked with was impressive, knowledgably walking me through details of repairs to the heating system just as he would the owner of the home. When one of the irrigation system controllers went kaput my experience was similar. When I needed to exit the lease early because of a corporate relocation Beacon was able to quickly find a new tenant and minimize the associated costs. From start to finish I didn't see Beacon as 'The Landlord' but as a partner in making a rental property a home. read more

The stress caused made this something that made a review from me relevant. Also, the response was made many, many months after this review. And just food for thought: What kind of management company charges for light bulbs reported before move out?would you want to do business with them?****** My interactions with Beacon Property Management have been pretty poor. The reason I am posting this is that their treatment of their tenants has seeped into our entire family and deserves a review. Also because my sister in law posted a review and it's now no longer showing. These guys deserve lower than one star. And I very, very rarely feel a business should be rated low. This is one of those businesses that treats people poorly and provides NO communication which exacerbates any problem. sure isn't one of them. They don't fix the things they promised at sign up and then charge the tenants for those things when they move out.. not sure how that's legal. They also take things like - burnt out light bulbs that were communicated BEFORE move out were taken out of the security deposit. They even made accusations about the mail box being run over, when it had fallen over many times and had been reported. I feel like - more effective communication on the part of Beacon Property Management may have helped some of these issues, but I would not do business with these people. I write great reviews to companies that deserve to succeed, but Beacon Property Management sure isn't one of them. If I could rate them lower than 1 star, I would. We had nothing but BAD experiences with this company. Terrible communication, terrible treatment, and they try and charge you for every possible thing. We have been nothing but good tenants, and they treated us like we were just one of the many people they can rip off from. Before we signed the lease, we were promised that several things in the house will be fixed ASAP, but then they turned around and decided that they are not going to fix it because "It's not important". Just to give you an idea of the ridiculousness, they took money out of our security deposit for a burnt out light bulb that was already burnt out BEFORE we even moved in. If things ever break, nothing ever got fixed unless you did it yourself OR when they finally did send someone to fix something, the guy does such a terrible job fixing things that it breaks again the next day. It almost seems as if they sent a random person to pretend like he was fixing stuff, because literally everything the guy tried to fix, we ended up fixing it ourselves few days later. Window screen blew away several times (starting few days after we moved in), mail box tipped over several times, and they told us that we RAN it over with our car. Of course, again, we got charged for that. All in all, I have never been with such a horrible so-called "management" company, and I REALLY hope this review will sway other people from having the same experience we did. AWFUL, HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL company! I am sure there are people within this company who would do an outstanding job... However, Jena Aguinaldo is NOT one of them. Everything revolves around her and the fact that she CAN'T do her job. Ask a question, the answer is "I don't know" all of the time. Let her know that there is an issue with the house that you are renting... That's not a priority. She will get back to when she is not busy... No hot water, that's NOT her PROBLEM!!! What a joke! I am surprised they let her talk to and work with people. She is completely incapable of communicating in a remotely professional manner. She works for the homeowner, no kidding, I get that. However, if there is an issue with that person's home, you would think she would jump on it and help the tenets out, but NO. She doesn't belong in the property management industry. She is incapable of seeing past her own nose. I can't believe how they have treated my family, not only has it been completely disrespectful (yelling at me over the phone, because she has a "hard" job and everyone yells at her) she has also led us astray. Mislead us. Lied to us about our lease (yes, we read our lease, but she wanted to "make a deal". Unbelievable the caliber of people who are out there handling the livelihood of others... She doesn't care, so I would strongly caution you, if you work with Jena Aguinaldo, be prepared to be lied to, never communicated with, and of course... yelled at... Also, the so called "owner" of the company Laura, she is great at making excuses and never following though. If you are dealing with Beacon Property, be prepared. Nothing but bad things come from dealing with a company who doesn't care about keeping good tenants. read more

I am currently working on my 7th year with Beacon. 7 years is a long time to spend with one rental company. It, like most long term relationships have up and downs. I started out in a bad house, but they did all that the owner would allow them to do. It didn't work out at that residence, and instead of just leaving me to figure it out, they moved us. It was a little bit more and the neighborhood was better than I had been staying before. I had to stay within my budget. I stayed in that place for 6 years, not the Disney world good, but not Purina factory Colorado bad, either. The owner of the property decided to sell. We needed to move, and we wanted it to be nice. I looked and looked, and almost fell for scams numerous times. Then, as I am in panic mode, my husband suggests staying with beacon. We have long standing relationship with them. We know how they work, they know how we work. Marlo and Laura worked together to find something that we could rent, and talked to the owners to make all the things happen so that all parties involved had a happy ending. I am now staying in a great place, with great neighbors, great schools, and a place I can be proud to show off. I hope to buy a house soon, but because of all the help and compassion I have received from Beacon, they are the rental company that I will be staying with until that time comes.
