My friends and I stopped by this place Thursday evening and it was the best decision! After we placed our order of fries, nachos, and a large veggie/cheese pizza, the owner said we could pay afterwards. We sat outside on the patio and the ambience was amazing. The food came out after some while, but everything was on point. We also asked for some honey mustard to go with the fries and it was the best honey mustard we've ever had. The pizza was crisp and hot. The fries was perfectly cooked and the nachos were layered just enough. The owner and staff were also so kind! We will definitely be coming back. read more

This hole-in-the-wall (in the best sense of the term) is no frills. You don't go here for a romantic night out. What you do go here for is amazing pizza baked by people who only speak Italian. I could smell the garlic when I got out of my car, which was a good sign. My margherita was a good combination of crispy around the edges and floppy in the middle. The favors were tasty and more "old school" than new. Presentation isn't the most important thing at Beacon Street, but the taste is genuine. Completely satisfying. read more

Ordered some Latin American dishes off the picture menu inside the restaurant and found that there's a reason they aren't listed on the printed and online menus. The carne asada comes on a side of rice and beans with 3 plantains. The meat was over cooked, the rice was watery and flavorless, and the beans and meat were both overly salted. The arroz con pollo itself had no flavor, and was topped with a salsa which did have a good level of spice but also had an off putting vinegar flavor. The best part of the meal was the plantains, which were sweet and had a nice crunchy exterior. Each dish was $12 which is a bit on the high side for the portion size and quality. read more

I used to get pizza from here when I was younger! It was called dial a pizza and a large cheese was $5! So glad we found this place that serves halal options. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the Margherita pizza. Probably wouldn't order he margherita again as it wasn't that great or Margherita-like. A random find a little past 11pm on a Sunday walk home after a Game of Thrones viewing party, this was exactly what we needed. It was a little, almost lonely building standing by itself in the middle of a small lot; a place that you could easily overlook. The family running the place and the pizza, though, were so good! A great surprise and a great end to the weekend. Service: The father and son there were super sweet, given that we were there minutes before closing. Unlike other restaurants waiting for you to order promptly and leave immediately, they were very patient with us as we looked over their simple but still expansive menu. Happy to chatter and obviously very proud of their food, they told us that their sausage was made in-house, so we obviously ordered a slice of simple sausage pizza to go. Food: There was half a cheese pizza still left, so they took a slice of it, added the sausage, and put it into the oven to heat up. I was a little skeptical given that it was going to be heated a second time, but the pizza was still very tasty, the mozzarella cheese nicely melted, and the sausage tasted so simple and good! The crust, though, was the star of the show. Thin, unbelievably crispy, not chewy at all and slightly charred, this crust reminded me of the dollar pizzas in New York. Around the pizza, the crust was a bit thicker, airy but still dense as well to satisfy. It was just such a nice feeling to bite into your pizza and hear an audible crunch. My first time coming here the staff here is friendly and the service is pretty quick. Was skeptical about trying there empanadas but to my surprise they were delicious. I have never met a bunch of guys who love making pizza as much as these guys. It's a take out pizza place. They have a table or two inside, and they recently build an outdoor patio (summer of 2015). But it's basically take out pizza. Even though it's take out, it's really really good. They use all fresh ingredients, which you can see them cutting up. Turns out there are new owners, and the pizza is excellent. César, the owner, worked across the street at Dalí for 26 years. Super friendly and knows good food! I got a small mushroom pizza. Simple pizzas are usually the best way to judge quality. It was nice; fresh, good quality ingredients, and well made. A good size for a "small" pizza too. I don't eat a lot of pizza anymore, but I do love a good pizza. Beacon Street pizza is doing qood quality, tasty pizzas. Nothing gourment, but with the right crust, sauce and toppings, it beats the alternativesflat out, and the prices are great. I wish them a lot of success! Try them out. read more

Fantastic family-friendly neighborhood joint. This is a family run business which has quality pizza and Italian subs at low price. The pizza is really good - the marinara sauce is made in house with really fresh ingredients. Their Chicken parm is a good balance of crispy and moist. Their garlic knots are fantastic late night snack - you can order them stuffed with different toppings. Most surprisingly their Greek Salad is one of the best take out salads I've had - full of really fresh vegetables and tossed with high quality feta, olives, marinated red peppers etc. The owner has been slowly building up the place after taking it over a couple years ago when it was Dial a Pizza (which was mediocre at best). He's hand built their patio out front which is a great place to eat on a summer evening. Some folks on Yelp have complained about delivery service - granted it takes them longer than ideal but please recognize this is not Domino's. Often the owner is hand making your pizza with care. Wholeheartedly the worst pizza and service I've had since moving to Boston. Service: it took an hour and a half to get the pizzas. I called three times, each time being told that it was on its way. 5 minutes turned to 15. 15 turned into it's in the car. It's in the car turned into another 15. Very disappointing. Google maps said I could have walked there in 8 minutes. Price: I ordered using the slice app, and chose to pay with cash. I called to confirm, and they didn't tell me it was going to cost an extra $4 for one pizza, to my surprise when they delivered it and I couldn't call for a partial refund because I chose cash. They didn't know the difference between half and half and two toppings... Taste: it was bad. Probably the worst pizza I've ever ordered in the four states I've lived. The pizza was dry and cold, very little sauce, no flavor. It's as if they made it poorly, and it sat in the box for an hour. (Probably because they couldn't deliver it on time.) Halfway through the pizzas I asked the guys I was with if their mouths hurt from chewing, and I got three resounding grunts of confirmation. Despite the fact that I paid like $7 just to get pepperoni and bacon on one pizza, there was very little. It was the worst pizza I've had. I don't take that claim lightly. I think there's a Papa John's nearby, take your money there. I don't know if it was an off night or if the photos online are lucky ones. I regret not taking a photo to prove my point. Nothing particularly remarkable about this place, other than the fact that they have halal chicken, which is super cool (though confusingly paired with bacon on many of their dishes). They seem to be bringing a little bit of a latin american flair to their pizzas, which is respectably creative: the Brazilian pizza comes with corn, chicken, green olives and bacon (which they can hold). Good in theory, just not very tasty; crust is not as crispy as I like; corn is dried out and soggy. Buffalo wings (also halal) are sadly lacking in sauce, and the sauce isn't very spicy. The fried dough dessert is also just confusing...like how is this even on a menu: it's just balls of pizza crust (many of which are stale) with a very very light dusting of cinnamon sugar. And they insist on sending you like 5 pounds of this stuff for $6 (no smaller size available). At least send it with some sugar glaze dipping sauce! read more

I have never experienced the worst delivery ever! The delivery order went well. An older guy came, my order was $10 & I only had a $20 bill. There was already a delivery charge and I asked him for the change to give him a tip. First he said he doesn't have a change, then he went to bring change from his car, came back with $3 and said that's all he had and walking away. He ignored my call and walked away with $5 + I will never order delivery from here. If you do, make sure you have the exact change!! Best pizza in the area. Not shi-shi, no fusion - straight up, thick crusted, heavily cheesed and topped pizza. They serve a bread and butter, standard-crust pizza that fills you up for a very good price. I sometimes overtop my pizza (especially if I order after a few beers) but they are great at making sure the crust comes through well cooked and crisp, even with all the extra toppings that would help most places produce a loose, sloppy pie. Slices are thick and filling, and the make sure you get what you pay for. If you're from the midwest, think Godfather's pizza ten or fifteen years ago. Delivery is quick and easy, and they normally beat their estimated time. I've never tried their other food, but if it is as good, then you shouldn't be shy. read more
