Seating was comfortable, lighting was bright and cheery, our large group was accomodated well. But the thing is this: It's a full two months later and I'm still thinking about that cauliflower soup! There is cooking, there is good cooking, and then there's food artistry. That soup was a work of art! I would go back just for that. Came back after 4 years with positive memories of it prior. Service has gone way downhill. Our waitress hardly checked in yesterday, and my one year old spilled my entire drink. Rather than replacing it she charged us for two but by the end since we had already waited for her to bring us our check ( she forgot, I had to go find her to get the check) I didn't even fight it. Tried Source Pizza after hearing a lot of buzz on the radio about being one of the top pizza places in Greater Boston area, and it lived up to expectations. Do keep in mind though that their pizzas are the kind you eat with a knife and fork and will fall apart if you try to hold it with your hand. We went with the seasonal pizza and added prosciutto, plus the seasonal salad. The pizza was really tasty with great flavor throughout and the prosciutto brought all the flavors together. The seasonal salad had a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette that was light and flavorful, though the portion was on the smaller side. Great ambiance for brunch - quiet and had a very clean atmosphere. Parking in Harvard Square also might be easier in the morning versus afternoon and evening. Service was good but they seemed to not come by very often despite the place not being too busy. I came here with two girlfriends and we instantly felt relaxed. The brunch menu offers a little of everything for everyone from shareable plates, to pizza, to pasta, and to the morning fixings. I'm happy to say that we ordered more than enough for the table and happy to bring home a bag of leftovers. The Margherita pizza was airy and delicious. Send Nooods was cooked perfectly and so creamy with every bite. The brussel sprouts was a table favorite as it was sweet and a little spicy. And the Coming to merica plate had every food group. The restaurant is classy and yet down to earth. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. We were able to make a reservation online with no problems. The seasonal pizza was delicious, we added prosciutto. The clam chowder pizza was unique. Would not have guessed this could be done on a pizza. The whipped ricotta garlic knot appetizer was delicious. The tagliatelle pasta was cooked al dente and was flavorful. The first version of the dish unfortunately had a hair in it so the server quickly replaced it with a new plate. This restaurant seems like a really solid choice for a group dinner. read more

The best thing we ate was the whipped ricotta. It was so tasty and the portion size was pretty big. It was such a standout! The source chopped salad was also really good with just the perfect amount of dressing. The hummus was pretty good, nothing too out of the ordinary. I had the cod almondine, which I believe is exclusive to the dine out menu. The fish was cooked perfectly, though I wish there was a little more seasoning or sauce. Everything the fish came with was really good. The pizza crust was delicious too. The vanilla trifle for dessert was one of the highlights, with such a great balance of layers with cake and mousse and whipped cream. We were seated quickly around 12:30 on a Saturday for some lunch! We started with the Bees in Paradise and Espresso Martini which was delicious. We all shared the Margherita pizza, Po-Tay-Toes, Toast Me Gently, Baba and a Half Chopped salad. It was a great lunch, great prices and really enjoyed the decor and ambiance inside. I chose arancini for the appetizers: they were small and had an uninteresting filling. My friend got the whipped ricotta with bread: creamy and delicious but the bread was stale. Then for my entree, I chose the eggplant triple stack. This was standout. It was more of a sandwhich stacked with crispy eggplant, prosciutto, and a creamy basil sauce with an arugula salad on the side, although the salad dressing was lacking in flavor. The dessert was an alright tiramisu with a pointless and soggy pirouette included. They give you wine paring suggestions which is nice! All in all the food and service were great, but they add a 4% kitchen fee. That on top of tip and the drink you inevitably order makes the price not that great a deal. I had a fantastic late lunch at Source in Harvard Square this past Sunday. From the start, the service stood out--our server was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the different pizza styles, which was especially helpful as first-time visitors. We ordered the Neapolitan pizza with extra cheese, and it was everything you'd want--bubbly, hot, and absolutely delicious. The crust had that perfect balance of chew and crisp, and the extra cheese made it even more indulgent. The Chopped Salad was another highlight. The crispy chickpeas and oregano dressing added great texture and flavor, and I really appreciated that they were able to make it without bacon to accommodate my pescatarian diet. Making a reservation was easy, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more from the menu! Came here on Saturday an hour before closing and the vibe was perfect. Quiet and intimate, you could actually have a conversation. Our bartender Luke was also really cool so shout out to him. I had the Royal-Ade which was a mock tail, super delicious and not too lavender-y. The carbonara was fantastic! For a city that's suppose to have incredible Italian food, I've had too many mediocre carbonara's to the point where I get scared to order them thinking it'll be effed up. But Source knocked the carbonara out of the park. Bucatini is the best noodle for carbonara, the guanciale was perfectly salty & crispy, sauce was very tasty, and the poached egg with runny yolk was the cherry on top! Loved this dish so much. We sat outside and so it was a bit chillier but it was nice that they provided blankets on the seats if we needed them. Our seats though, were on the road basically! So sometimes cars would get a bit close while passing by. I've been seeing this restaurant on my Instagram reel feed a lot and so I decided to give it a try. However, I think the food is more photogenic if anything! There was SOO much oil on the pepperoni pizza that each pepperoni cup was filled with oil. Visiting the Boston area, we were walking around Harvard Square and noticed Source Restaurant with a cute patio. It wasn't very busy, but the hostess did ask if we had reservations. Our response was no and she said "No problem." Then we asked for the patio and we were seated promptly. Server did take a few minutes but once he came out, water was served. I love wood fired pizza. But, sometimes the pizza is too soggy in the middle and too burnt on the crust. Also, it could be too oily or saucy for some people, but I don't mind. We always come by when we're craving this pizza. Everything else on the brunch menu is hit or miss. I liked the French toast with fresh berries. The bucatini carbonara is good at first, but has a slight bitter taste and gets tiring to eat. We got the fried chicken and waffles, it was inedible. The fry and batter was disgusting. I came to Source with a friend after seeing Me&You Mondays on social media, which is their 3-course dinner for $26. We split the arancini and the ricotta dip. The ricotta dip was a standout, with lots of toppings and a great texture. The arancini were a little mushy and not too flavorful. For a main I got the eggplant stack. The eggplant was excellent, but it was overpowered by the ham and the aioli. For dessert, we split a tiramisu with their milk and cookies; tiramisu was great, but the cookies were burnt on the bottom. Overall, it was OK but beware: we got the meal deal and 2 drinks each, and with the automatic 20% tip and 4% "kitchen appreciation" fee it was $66 each.
