I can totally understand why they are closing down. Went with a friend and received terrible customer service. For starters, we were never told to write down the beads cost and the signs were not accurate pricing. We wandered here expecting a great finds, but as we checked out the older cashier lady had a lot of unnecessary attitude and belittling commentary. Our total came out to be about $15 and with the discount about $4, but because we didn't have cash on us they ran our total for $15. At that point we should've just left but we were shocked at how we were being talked to that we just grabbed our stuff and left. They're conversations are also loud and unprofessional. We overheard a client on the phone being overcharged and they were indifferent. We found a nice bag of buttons for about $3 each and that's the only nice thing I have to say about this place. My advice is bring cash and I hope they are nicer to you than us on their last day. read more

WOW!! What a find! Never knew this shopping center even existed but to find Jill and her awesome store I could not be more ecstatic to write this long overdue review of Jill, her work and her amazing customer service!! I broke a treasured, beautiful pearl bracelet about a year ago. It broke directly into my purse and I was able to save all of the pearls. Thank heavens! I put the pearls and clasp into a bag and pretty much forgot about it. Unbeknownst to me, my husband did a little googling of his own, found this store and had my bracelet repaired! And at a very reasonable price! I was thrilled and so surprised to have it back! Once the occasion to where it came around I noticed it was a little longer than before and fell off pretty easily. I took it to Jill and met her for the first time. She was SO happy to work with me and get it just right. Ultimately, she made it like brand new only BETTER! I had since given a similar Pearl bracelet by my sisters for Christmas 2022. It was made on an elastic thread of some type and slipped right on or off. I brought the newer one to Jill and asked her if she could make it the same way. She could and she did! I was over the moon with the result and the impeccable customer service I received each and every time I have been back!! Friendly staff and most jewelry supplies needed by the average maker. They have wire in various gauges, all kinds of beads and charms, findings, and they even offer classes. They don't have sheets of metals (copper, brass, nickel), but they can't have everything. It's a cute shop that encourages browsing and I'm so glad I discovered it. read more

The only place that had some Lacey's Stiff Stuff and scrap leather pieces perfect for the size of my Pow Wow regalia projects. The owner was more than gracious and kind, as well as extremely knowledgeable about sewing and bead embroidery! They even have a monthly schedule of classes which was doooope, the store owner teaches a Peyote Stitch class which I plan on spending the $35 to take since no one else around town is currently offering a class in this technique. Nice but small bead store, they do have some very nice specialty beads. Not all the employees will wear a mask, even when asked (and is the State law) which seems odd with the newly highly transmissible Omicron variant. I normally never write reviews but felt I had to due to terrible service we received. My daughter , granddaughter and I walked in to find a lady standing there holding a dog on a leash and asked if we're ok with dogs. I said its fine, and she then let the dog off the leash and he ran around the counter and starting nipping at my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughters dress and leg. She then hooked the dog back on leash. She couldnt help us with the stone I needed for my purse handle, so we looked around and my granddaughter saw some beads she would have liked a bracelet made out of, so we asked sales lady if she could cut it her size and she said she couldnt do that, only manager could do it and she was on the phone in the back and had no idea how long it would be. THen she walked away. I heard the conversation in the back of the store and it sounded like a personal call, and the worst part is the sales lady never even made an attempt to alert manager that we were waiting for service. So we walked out, and soon after she took her dog outside in the grass area of the complex and started walking dog, leaving the store with NO ONE at the counter. The worst service Ive seen in a long time. She lost a sale and a customer. We have been going there for years, so VERY disappointing. She was more concerned about her dog than helping us. The bead station is like going to Disneyland! The staff is so nice and helpful and they have so many beautiful items from which to select that it really get my creativity juices going. Today after I made my purchase, a bead in a case at the front of the store caught my eye and I got exited. The owner, Jill gave me some ideas so I went to the back table with some beads, chain and wire and less than an hour later walked out the door with a masterpiece necklace and matching earrings. I have been going to the bead station for almost 2 decades. Over that time I have seen bead shops die off as more people hit the big cheap DIY stores. If you want authentic shops like this, customers need to support them! You may pay a bit more on some things BUT you can't get the 1:1 experience of dealing with people who really know their stuff; you can't get that at amazon or Michaels. The owner Jill, is amazing. Her knowledge is the best! Her kindness amazes me. She goes out of her way to help and has so much patience. Recently, I walked in and she was helping some children who had fled Ukraine; they were so excited and she helped them create their masterpiece. We are loosing the human experience and it is shops like the Bead Station that give us the true DIY experience & opportunity to meet others with similar interest. This is a nice little bead store with very friendly staff who have a passion for beads. I recently got into making beaded mosaics so I come here for skeins of seed beads. They have many colors. I also buy links of clear and colored rhinestones a accent pieces for my work. RECOMMEND. read more

I went into Bead Station for the first time a couple weeks ago. The staff was very nice - the issue here is the price. Almost everything was at least FOUR TIMES MORE expensive than a store I went to last week in Sherman Oaks. If it had only been twice the price, I would have purchased more things there, but at four to six times the price for silver and beads, driving to Los Angeles was very much worth my while. For instance, a silver bead cost $20 at Bead Station and was $5 at another store. A string of beads that cost $65 at Bead Station was $15 in Los Angeles. I would happily shop there if they had more reasonable prices. read more

From beading to jewelry repair to wire wrapping to ring making to chain making, it's all available here with three wonderful ladies to assist whenever needed! Jill, the owner, Kay and Debbie are all so knowledgeable and eager to make any learning a pleasurable experience. When there is a special class scheduled, that's the time to jump in and let your creative juices flow. There are no "rights or wrongs" . . . it's just a matter of technique and application of your own thoughts and artistic expression. I particularly enjoyed Ron Hill's wire wrapping class recently and am anxiously looking forward to his ring making class and chain making class scheduled for February and March. I never write negative reviews but I can't believe how I was just talked to by the manager Jill today. I went in the store this am at 10:30 to return beads that I had not used. The lady, who was the only one there, told me that she could only give me a store credit. I had told her that I didn't know about that policy and she pointed it out tapped to the counter on the other side from where I had checked out with my original purchase. She asked if I didn't keep a "stash", in other words, why not keep them and use them later. I had told her normally that's what I always do but that right now I'm strapped financially and every penny counts. She suggested that I return after 12 noon when the manager would be there as sometimes she makes exceptions. Well, not only did she not make an exception but she "barked" her policy at me as if I was stupid for even suggesting that I would like a refund. When I called her on her tone she didn't have the decency to apologize. The sad thing is that before I had returned the second time (after noon) I had already had an exchange in mind in case they would only do the store credit, however, I was so taken back by her attitude that I told her to give me the store credit and I left. I'll return on another day to use the store credit and then never shop there again. FYI, the ONLY reason I'm giving this review 2 stars is because the first lady that I spoke to at 10:30 was so nice and helpful....maybe the manager needs to take a lesson or two in customer service from her. read more

This shop was great. I was looking for a large variety of beads to choose from and the accessories to make some art projects. They had everything I was looking for. I had all of my questions answered about how to do some techniques and was shown personally by the saleswoman how to wire a bead for special projects. The location is great. Right off of the 5fwy. They have classes, and a night for free time on projects, were you come in with what you are working on, and do the project at the shop. The prices are low. And a very large variety available.
